Persona Diamond is a Japanese-American action-thriller RPG video game based on the Persona series, itself a sub-series to the Shin Megami Tensei series. It is developed by Atlus and published by Sega, being released for Sega Orion on October 15th, 2020.

Synopsis

Set in the fictional city of Okam, a teenager moves to it as she encounters a conspiracy involving another world as she creates a group to help people out when possible.

Characters

Main

• Diamond (voiced by Cassandra Lee Morris) - a slightly shy yet friendly teenager who becomes embroiled in dimension-hopping shenanigans and is out to save the world. Her Persona is Brunhilde.
  • Gideon (voiced by Sam Riegel) - a gerbil-like creature who was sent by Igor of the Velvet Room in order to help and guide Diamond. His Persona is Dante.
• Shun Naginami (voiced by Robbie Daymond) - an extremely nerdy and intelligent teenager who instantly befriends Diamond as he, alongside Misa, initially get warped in the other world as he helps her. His Persona is Galileo.
• Misa Sabane (voiced by Cristina Vee) - a slightly unhinged yet friendly teenage girl who has a terrible home life as she lets her anger out as she befriends Diamond and, alongside Shun, is one of the first of her party members. Her Persona is Jekyll.
• Junji Tamura (voiced by Yuri Lowenthal) - a highly dramatic and flamboyant student who is a member of the drama club as he is soon convinced to join Diamond's crew. His Persona is D'Artagnan.
• Sama Kodama (voiced by Allegra Clark) - an extremely shy and introverted teenager who is Miki's primary victim as she joins Diamond's group in order to finally stand up for herself. Her Persona is Harker.
• Yodo Okuda (voiced by Daman Mills) - a former star athlete who was cut from the team for supposedly taking illegal drugs as he joins Diamond's group to clear his name and his image. His Persona is Edmund.
• Ari Fujiwara (voiced by Carrie Keranen) - an extremely ditzy and party-loving teenager who is also an aspiring pop idol as she is convinced to join Diamond's team. Her Persona is Sawyer.
• Ryozo Watari (voiced by Grant George) - a highly stoic teenager who was trained by his mother to hold back all of his emotions as he soon joins Diamond's team and tries to become a bit lighter. His Persona is Columbus.
• Nyoko Yamabe (voiced by Michelle Ruff) - a short-tempered and hot-headed student who is known for her anger issues as she is soon convinced to become a member of Diamond's group. Her Persona is Hippolyta.

Supporting

• Igor (voiced by Kirk Thornton) - the benefactor of the Velvet Room who is mysterious and trains Diamond in mastering Personas.
  • Violet (voiced by Erika Harlacher) - Igor's assistant who is fashioned after a secretary as she speaks in a monotone voice and doesn't really care for much, often getting to the point quickly.
• Akira Naginami (voiced by Kyle Hebert) - Shun's mild-mannered father who decided to take in Diamond as he cares for his son's safety and soon warms up to Diamond herself.
• Kae Shinorara (voiced by Erica Lindbeck) - the school nurse of Okam High who is known for giving students medicine as soon she begins to warm up to Diamond.
• Shojiro Yajiyama (voiced by Bryce Papenbrook) - Junji's best friend who is another member of the Drama Club as he shows a similar love of the arts.
• Gin Hirota (voiced by Elizabeth Maxwell) - a teacher at Okam High who has been sexually harassed by Hiro as she is extremely cold to several people but after Hiro's arrest for breaking several school laws, begins to warm up, especially to Diamond and her party.
• Chikaze Haruyama (voiced by Laura Post) - an extremely perky student who runs the newspaper club as soon she decides to start up a blog detailing the mysterious happenings that have been going on.

Antagonists

• Lilith (voiced by Marisha Ray) - a demon known by her moniker of the mother of demons as she is capable of bending reality to her desire as she is the focus of Hideaki's plans.
• Hideaki Kajiwara (voiced by Roger Craig Smith) - the CEO of Kajiwara Manufacturing who is secretly in charge of a conspiracy to free Lilith as he wants her free so she can bring back his deceased wife and daughter.
  • Emu Chino (voiced by Kira Buckland) - Hideaki's assistant who is revealed to be both in on the conspiracy and heavily unstable as she has a highly obsessive crush on her boss and will do anything to protect him.
• Miki Nishizaki (voiced by Caitlin Glass) - an aggressive and snotty teenager who is able to get anything she wants due to her dad being the principal as both she and her father are willing members of Hideaki's conspiracy.
• Hiro Nishizaki (voiced by Matthew Mercer) - the cold principal of Okam High who is Miki's father and while even doing what his daughter wants is still considerably corrupt as he willingly sided in Hideaki's conspiracy.
• Kyuwa Kawada (voiced by Ray Chase) - a crooked lawyer known for his ability to prevent the members of Hideaki's conspiracy from going into prison as he is heavily obsessed with having power over people.
• Akko Sakurai (voiced by Laura Bailey) - a seemingly bubbly idol who turns out to be a deranged and childish snob who is a member of Hideaki's conspiracy, believing that Lilith would make her popular worldwide.
• Sho Koga (voiced by Kaiji Tang) - a suave and flamboyant Yakuza leader who is often extremely calm and collected, believing that he is an extremely powerful force to be reckoned with.
• Kaii Mita (voiced by Richard Epcar) - an emotionless and cynical detective who is revealed to be in kahoots with Hideaki as he believes that Lilith can wipe crime off of the face of earth.
• Yukiji Kabuto (voiced by Ashly Burch) - an easily angered spa owner who is involved in Hideaki's conspiracy as it is revealed that she uses the spa as a front to smuggle illegal goods.
• Kane Sabane (voiced by DC Douglas) - Misa's abusive and alcoholic father who hasn't gotten arrested due to his surprising amount of charisma as he becomes the first target of Diamond.

Shadows

• Shadow Hideaki (also voiced by Roger Craig Smith) - he is surprisingly extremely normal as his resides in an exact duplicate of his tower with the exception of photos and imagery of his deceased wife and daughter being everywhere.
• Shadow Emu (also voiced by Kira Buckland) - she is fashioned as a bride at a wedding as she resides in a church where everyone is Hideaki as she often repeats the marriage ceremony.
• Shadow Miki (also voiced by Caitlin Glass) - she is fashioned as a royal princess as she resides in what resembles a royal palace as she has multiple maids who all resemble Sama and sits on a throne made of pure gold.
• Shadow Hiro (also voiced by Matthew Mercer) - he is fashioned as an Egyptian Pharaoh as he resides in the school which resembles an Egyptian palace as he has multiple clones of Gin and Kae dressed in harem outfits alongside with various members of the sports teams doing slave labor.
• Shadow Kyuwa (also voiced by Ray Chase) - he is fashioned as a high judge as he resides in a place resembling the Supreme Court as he often sends people into terrible fates and has insane pleasure for it.
• Shadow Kane (also voiced by DC Douglas) - he is fashioned as a cowboy with a whip on one hand and a giant mug of beer on the other as he resides in a place that resembles a bar as it has various clones of Misa standing completely still, only moving when ordered as he often hits them for fun.
• Shadow Shun (also voiced by Robbie Daymond) - he is fashioned as a mad scientist as he resides in a gothic castle as he is shown doing terrifying experiments.
• Shadow Ryozo (also voiced by Grant George) - he is fashioned as a samurai as his emotionlessness is heavily apparent as he resides in a completely empty dojo with only him and his blade.
• Shadow Nyoko (also voiced by Michelle Ruff) - she is fashioned as TBD.

Gameplay

The game mixes common Persona gameplay with hack and slash gameplay as the prime world sections are almost identical to how they play in Persona 5. As for the flip world, you and a max of three other party members enter a dungeon as all four fight at the same time. You are capable of using regular melee attacks, persona attacks which take up MP and gun attacks which there is a limited amount. You are able to command your party members to use their guns or to use their Personas. You also have a skill tree which you can use to level yourself up and get more powerful. The game introduces an additional ability that allows you to temporarily freeze time as you move slower as all of the enemies are completely frozen, allowing you to briefly strategize and bring in free hits.
