Summary[]
Dr Crygor gets a new hamster for his granddaughter Penny. Penny names her Safaia and gets advice from her friends, Kat and Ana to invent a hamster heaven.
Plot[]
This episode is set during Penny's birthday, starting when both Penny and Dr Crygor are in the lab. After blowing out her candles on her cake, Dr Crygor gives her a surprise, which turns out to be a new pet hamster. After thinking of a name for the hamster, Penny decides on the name Safaia. Unfortunately, her grandfather forgot to buy supplies for Safaia except for food and this was Penny's first time keeping a hamster.
The two scientists then go to Kat and Ana's dojo, knowing that they are experts on animals. Kat and Ana were delighted to see Safaia, so they were happy to help Penny with her new pet. Luckily, they had some supplies left over from their previous pets, so they give Penny a special cage that is spacious enough for Safaia to run around, amongst other things.
Back at the lab, Penny thought of some ideas on how to modify the supplies she got to make Safaia happy, as well as save enough time to balance between working and taking care of her pet. She comes up with an automatic feeder, water dispenser and a playground for the hamster. As she gets to work, Dr Crygor took care of Safaia, a bit concerned about whether his granddaughter would accept the responsibility of taking care of her pet properly.
As usual, Penny tried invention after invention, but none of them seemed to work. The automatic feeder got stuck, the water dispenser often sprayed her instead of into the water bowl and the playground had pieces fall off. Even with her many attempts to fix them, they eventually got ruined, annoying her grandfather.
As Penny invented and invented, Crygor manages to assemble the cage, feeder, water bottle and other supplies, which were just right for Safaia. Worried that Safaia wasn't going to be happy living in the lab, Penny checks on her, but notices that her pet was happily eating, drinking and playing in the cage, having the time of her life. Crygor reprimands Penny for neglecting Safaia and tells her that even though pets may be a big responsibility, caring for them step by step instead of taking shortcuts with fancy inventions will make them love their owners. As he passes Safaia to his granddaughter, Penny apologizes to the hamster for not giving her attention, petting her affectionately.
From that day on, Penny learns to care for Safaia properly, refilling her food and water bowl, washing her cage and sometimes bringing her on walks with her special hamster ball. Sometimes, when her friends come over to see Safaia, she tells them to be gentle with the hamster, knowing that she depended on her to get as much tender loving care as possible. The episode ends with Penny going to bed, smiling as she holds a photo of Safaia.
