Patchwork dies onscreen is a deleted scene from One: Faith of my Friends (2024) in which it shows how Patchwork dies onscreen instead of showing the sound effect.
Synopsis[]
Airy decides that if neither of them are going to do the challenge, then both teams are put up for elimination. Scenty is happy and pleads to the viewers to vote her out. Her plead is slowly muffled as Light decides to sleep through it, hoping to not interfere with anyone.
As Light dreams, we see a flashback to Patchwork and Moldy’s final interactions. It is almost Christmas, and Patchwork strolls around town, seeing the Christmas lights and Christmas house decorations, admiring the glowing. After being greeted and petted by many meat-giants, Patchwork bumps into Scout, a ginger ragamuffin cat, and tells her he's all about the holidays.
Leopard, an octicat, explains to Patchwork that there’s gonna be a huge Christmas party at 9:00. Jellybean, a aussie serbian mix, asks Patchwork if she wants to go and Patchwork agrees to go deciding to spend the time, before 8:58, with Moldy (Charlotte). She visits her to check up on how she's doing, but notices Moldy now has a big flatscreen TV and a expensive smartphone.
After some back and forth, they find out that Moldy spent all of the money Patchwork stole and gave her for her mold treatment on electronics, and Patchwork is furious about it, saying that her health is twice important as anything else. Moldy argues that she shouldn't have gave her money in the first place and that she doesn't need Patchwork’s help.
However Patchwork argues back, saying none of this would have happened if she didn't going spelunking in a cave that had mold, with signs warning about mold, as well as Patchwork trying to out said warnings. Patchwork also reveals Moldy lost a piece of her head because she didn't wear a helmet while spelunking.
Moldy states that she said she didn't need the money, to which Patchwork yells back why she even took the money Patchwork stole. Moldy replies that she felt like she was being huminulated when she was given the money, and that Patchwork only gave the money to pity her and raise themselves to seem like heros.
Patchwork apologizes about giving Moldy the money saying that she’s only doing what’s right and promises that she’ll let her do what’s best for herself, but asks if she could have it back, concerned about the fact that some of the money belonged to meat-giants. Moldy mocks and taunts Patchwork back, but before she could finish, she suddenly disappears.
Patchwork tries to tell her that it’s not funny, but she soon leaves the house out of frustration and tears. She then notices that it’s 9:01, and she rushes to the location to the party as fast as she can, but trips over and gets hit and fatally injured by a car, who didn’t notice she was in the way. Before the meat-giants and her other friends could help, Patchwork soon succumbs to her wounds, ending her misery.
After the incident, a funeral was hold on Christmas night as Scout gives a tear-jerking eulogy. As Patchwork gets buried to her grave, a little girl throws a final red rose onto the edge of the grave and she and everyone watch Patchwork get buried tearfully. After everyone leaves the grave, Jellybean stays longer and promises to come visit her grave every year on Christmas. Jellybean leaves a plate of Christmas cat kibbles on Patchwork's grave before following everyone out of the cemetery.
After the dream sequence, Scenty's team talks about humans and their relationships to them. Bassy and Contact Lens talk about the humans that own them, while Scenty talks about how she's been thinking about her friends and family, and how worried they may be. Her teammates believe she'll be voted out by the viewers because of how much she wants to leave, upsetting Milk a little, saying that she’ll miss her.
Airy lines everyone up for the elimination process; Scenty's team is smiling and optimistic, while Backpack's team and the animal contestants, except a sleeping light, looks worried and peers at the other contestants. Puffy was the one eliminated from the game. Everyone's smiles turn into frowns, and Scenty drops to her knees.
