The screenplay was written by Dan Scanlon and Tom McCarthy, and directed by Chris Williams and Stephen J. Anderson. The film stars John Oliver, Jason Bateman, Will Forte, Kristen Wiig, and Natalie Portman, and features original music by Mark Mothersbaugh.
