Notes on a Vision is a 2029 American satirical psychological black comedy thriller film written, directed and co-produced by Domee Shi (in her live-action feature debut) and produced by Shi and Neal H. Moritz and produced by Nickelodeon Movies and Original Film and distributed by Paramount Pictures. The film stars Daniel Radcliffe, Momona Tamada, Henry Czerny, Katja Herbers, Adam Scott, Kieran Culkin, Ryan Reynolds, Asha Banks, Jack Lowden, Carol Kane, Stanley Tucci and Matthew Broderick. The film follows a filmmaker who gradually loses his sanity during the production of his first Hollywood feature film.
The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 16, 2029, where it won the Palme d'Or and was released theatrically in the United States and Canada on October 19, 2029. It received universal acclaim from critics, with praise for its performances (particularly Radcliffe), Shi's direction, screenplay, humor, satire, cinematography, editing, visual effects, and musical score, and grossed $679 million worldwide on a $232 million budget.
The recipient of many accolades, Notes on a Vision was nominated for thirteen awards at the 102nd Academy Awards and won seven, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay for Shi, Best Actor (Radcliffe), Best Supporting Actor (Czerny) and Best Supporting Actress (Tamada). It also won five Golden Globe Awards (including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy) and seven British Academy Film Awards (including Best Film), and was named one of the top 10 films of 2029 by the National Board of Review and the American Film Institute.

Daniel Radcliffe as Chris Pellegrino, a highly intelligent and cinephilic yet pretentious and perfectionist independent filmmaker from Red Hook, Brooklyn, New York, who gets the chance to move to Hollywood to create his magnum opus, Celestials of Tomorrow. During production, he gradually loses his mind due to constant interference from studio executives and grifters on social media spreading misinformation about the movie, becoming deeply obsessive and beginning to take increasingly violent methods to keep control of his vision intact. Pellegrino is based off of Martin Scorsese, Stanley Kubrick and Orson Welles.
Momona Tamada as Maya Yoshinori, a young woman from Manhattan, New York, who is Chris' assistant and a secretly aspiring animation filmmaker. She works on her animated short film Silent Skies on late nights.
