New Eden Pictures is an American film and television production company founded by Gabe and Arry Frost in 2013, based in Newark, New Jersey. The company produces projects both independent and mainstream, as well as animated and adult-oriented films. As of May 2025, the company's highest-grossing film is Blockysworld: The Beginning and The End, with a total of $734 million worldwide.

History[]

New Eden Pictures was founded in 2013 by Gabe and Arry Frost as an independent media company, focusing on producing and financing projects. After having found recognition in their careers, the siblings worked together to form their own production company. Their first production was the horror drama Dark Days, which released on October 11, 2013 to critical and commercial success.

In December 2017, New Eden Pictures started venturing into television production. The first project they produced for TV was East to West, which aired on NBC on September 2, 2018.

On January 21, 2022, A24 and New Eden announced a joint venture between the two companies called A24 Animation. The division was to oversee A24's animated projects, including theatrical features.

On August 24, 2022, the company launched a first-look partnership deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment to produce original films and adaptations.

In 2023, the company co-produced three films from the Objectverse film series: Deca-Man and the Suicide Squad, Cheese Man: Edge of History, and Blockysworld: The Beginning and The End.

New Eden Pictures

On-screen logo since 2022.

The logo depicts a silhouette of a tree with barely any leaves, with the words "New Eden Pictures" (written in Times New Roman) beneath it.

Since Dark Days, the company features an on-screen logo animated by Devastudios. The logo opens above a tree in a plain field also scattered with trees, craning down as two birds make a loop-de-loop. Then, the background goes black, as the words "New Eden Pictures" flash on-screen (wordmark is omitted in some films). This logo is omitted in some films.

A widescreen version exists here.

Trivia[]

  • The company's logo and name are similar to the now-defunct New World Pictures. Gabe confirmed that this was a coincidence when he and Arry formed the company.
  • While most of the company's films have been well-received by critics and audiences, it has also produced some films that were negatively received, although far less than other companies. The company's lowest-rated films (as of May 2025) include the apocalyptic drama 168 Hours, and the horror films Furby and HAUNTWARE.
    • So far, the company's highest-rated film is the animated comedy Cheese Man: Edge of History, with a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes, while its lowest-rated film is HAUNTWARE, scoring a 17% on Rotten Tomatoes, a 34 on Metacritic, a "C+" on CinemaScore, and a 5.1 on IMDB.
