Nature Cat The Rockstar! is a 2025 animated family adventure short film. The short was one of three productions that were produced by Yowza! Animation, Spiffy Pictures, and WTTW Chicago to mark the 10th anniversary of Nature Cat. It first aired on television on PBS Kids on September 1st, 2025.
Plot[]
MC Ferret is hosting the second annual Woodstock Chella Palooza at the beach and he has asked Nature Cat, Squeeks, Daisy, and Hal to look for their number one performer. Nature Cat leads Squeeks, Daisy, and Hal to a city street where they speak with Sadie Dog and Jingles the cat, but soon, Nature Cat realizes that he is the performer for the concert. Sadie Dog and Jingles help Nature Cat, Squeeks, Daisy, and Hal prepare for the concert by teaching them about keeping a beat and rhythm. By 7:00 p.m., Nature Cat becomes stuck as he has not realized that Daisy did not finish writing the lyrics for their show, then he sees that Squeeks has stage fright. Suddenly, Nature Cat remembers what Sadie Dog and Jingles had taught him, Squeeks, Daisy, and Hal about them being the performers, which encourages him to lead Squeeks, Daisy, and Hal to the beach, instruments at the ready. Once at the beach, the cheering of the audience encourages Nature Cat, Squeeks, Daisy, and Hal to perform songs for them, which they do with ease and to the crowd's delight.
