  • Plover and the other Dune Patrol birds (from the Nature Cat episode Dune Patrol) appear in this film. However, unlike the others, they just make a short cameo and do not have any speaking roles.
  • Since it serves as a live action/animated movie, the real life actor who did the voice of Nature Cat (Taran Killam) is shown onscreen. This is the first Nature Cat production to show Taran Killam (the voice of Nature Cat). He will reappear in the sequel film (although he made an animated appearance in Nature Cat: The Big City Adventure (2016). He also appeared in the short film Nature Cat: Nature Cat's Birthday Adventure.
  • In one scene, Daisy sees the Hollywood sign.
  • A sequel to this film was released in 2025: Nature Cat's Second City Adventure.
  • There is this one scene where Hal references Saturday Night Live, an NBC show that the voice actors of Hal, Squeeks, Houston, and Nature Cat did voice work on.

The same goes for Sadie Dog, Daisy, Squeeks, Sammy, Nature Dog, Martin, Houston, Ronald, Hal, and the adult Gwendolyn. However, since Taran's wife is the voice actor of Nature Dog (Cobie Smulders), Nature Dog mentions her voice actor, although she doesn't appear in the real life sequence in this movie.
  • Nature Cat, Daisy, Squeeks, Mini Nature Cat, Sadie Dog, Mini One Eared Winnie (a.k.a. Gwendolyn), Sammy, Nature Dog, Martin the pastel blue dog, Houston, Ronald, Hal, and Gwendolyn visit real life Los Angles in this film.
  • In addition, this is also the only Nature Cat production where Sammy and Martin leave the animated world to visit the real world with Mini One Eared Winnie (a.k.a. Gwendolyn), Sadie Dog, Ronald, Nature Cat, the adult Gwendolyn, Houston, Daisy, Mini Nature Cat, Hal, Nature Dog, and Squeeks.
