The following is a transcript for the 2025 animated family adventure film, “Nature Cat's Big Circus Adventure“.
Part 1: Opening/Morning Routine[]
(The special opens by fading in to a sky background.)
Text: PBS Kids presents
Text: in association with
WTTW Chicago
Yowza! Animation
Text: a Spiffy Pictures special production
(The Nature Cat logo then fades in. The text that reads "a Spiffy Pictures special production" fades.)
Nature Cat: Tally ho! (laughs)
(Nature Cat looks at his show's logo. But soon, Nature Cat finds something missing in the logo.)
Nature Cat: Hmm... Isn't there something missing in my logo?
(A moment of silence.)
Nature Cat: (snaps his fingers) Aha! I get it now. (looks up at the logo) But for now, this needs a little bit of...
(Nature Cat finds the words "Nature Cat's Big Circus Adventure" at the bottom-right corner. Nature Cat grabs the text and adds the text at the bottom of the Nature Cat logo.)
Nature Cat: (faces the viewers) Welcome to Nature Cat's Big Circus Adventure!
(Nature Cat gets on a vine and then he swings off-screen, as another text fades in above the title card.)
Text: Based on the PBS Kids educational animated television series Nature Cat created by Adam Rudman, Todd Hannert, and David Rudman
(The text and the title then iris out to a shot of the suburbs in the morning, then fades to a house's living room, where Nature Cat (as a 4 legged cat named Fred the yellow house cat) is soundly sleeping in his cat bed.)
(His alarm clock suddenly goes from 6:59 to 7:00, waking him up, and then he turns it off. He yawns and his tail twitches.)
Nature Cat: (gasps suddenly) It's today?! I gotta hurry!
(He quickly runs out of his cat bed and into his small cat house in the living room and starts his morning routine: washing his whiskers and combing his fur. Fred looks into a mirror.)
Nature Cat: There! That's better.
(Then, Fred leaves his cat house before wears his explorer clothes and green hat, transforming into Nature Cat.)
Nature Cat: (proudly) Nature Cat, the backyard explorer!
(He looks to the viewers after doing so.)
Nature Cat: (to the viewers) Hello there. I'm so glad that you're here! (points to himself as he speaks) My name is Fred the house cat, also known as Nature Cat! Why? (whispering) Because I like to go outside and explore! I just woke up so early today, and I'm in a rush to get to somewhere on time, mostly because something is happening. Would you like to see it?
(Pause. Wait for the viewer to respond with "Yes.")
Nature Cat: (excited expression at the viewer) Well then, I'll take that as a yes! Join me, my fellow nature lovers! It's time to explore today, and I really can't wait even longer! (looks up and points) Onward and yonward!
(He then goes through the front door of his house and into the backyard. When he reached a tree stump, Nature Cat then inhales and exhales.)
Nature Cat: What a beautiful morning it is out here in the backyard!
(He looks at the sun.)
Nature Cat: The sun is shining...
(He looks at the birds.)
Nature Cat: The birds are singing nature tunes...
(He looks at the squirrels.)
Nature Cat: And, the squirrels are chattering and looking for acorns... (He watches the squirrels chit chat as they leave) Oh, and the air feels great! Nature and its surroundings always make me happy! (thinks to himself) Speaking of which, I wonder what my friends are doing today...
(Nature Cat walks to find his three friends near the front porch of his house: Hal the Dog, Squeeks the Mouse, and Daisy the Bunny. The three friends are eager to share news about something.)
Squeeks, Hal, and Daisy (upon seeing Nature Cat coming over to them): Hey, Nature Cat!
(On the words "Nature Cat", Nature Cat waved his hello to Daisy, Hal, and Squeeks.)
Nature Cat: (to the viewers) These are my long time friends. Squeeks, Hal, and Daisy!
(As he speaks, Squeeks, Hal, and Daisy notice the viewer. They all face the viewer.)
Squeeks, Hal, and Daisy: (to the viewer) Hello!
Hal: (to Nature Cat, hugging him tightly) So good to see you, Nature Cat, ol' buddy ol' pal. (shows a circus poster) A circus is coming to the town, so we are about to hurry to the circus right now to get ourselves some front row seats!
Daisy: (excited) Oh wow, a circus is coming?! That sounds like so much fun! (to the viewers) I don't want to miss this circus! It's a one night only event! (takes out her phone) The ringmaster always does a good job introducing who's performing in the circus.
(Cut to Hal, Squeeks, and Nature Cat.)
Hal: (barks excitedly) I love watching acrobats and those silly clowns perform! I bet Nature Cat will be fascinated by all the different animals they'll have at the circus. (to Nature Cat) And Squeeks will probably be curious about all the tiny details, like the sparkles on the costumes.
Nature Cat: Oh, Hal.
Squeeks: Come on guys, we don't want to be late.
(Then Squeeks, Nature Cat, Hal, and Daisy continue on their way.)
Part 2: Getting To The Circus[]
(We then see Squeeks, Nature Cat, Hal, and Daisy walking down a street. Daisy is scrolling through her phone as she walks beside Nature Cat.)
Daisy: On second thought, we need a faster way there. We're far away from the tent, are we?
Squeeks: (breathing in and out) Phew! So much walking. (plops down on the sidewalk) I'm already twitching my ears if they introduce something with fire!
(Hal turns around, but the dog doesn't watch where he's going and almost bumps into Daisy.)
Hal: What she said! Oh, wait, what are we supposed to do again?
(Nature Cat, Squeeks, and Daisy facepalmed.)
Squeeks: (to Daisy) Close call for someone like you, huh? (she gets off of the ground)
Daisy: (to Squeeks, Nature Cat, and Hal) No more fooling around guys. We have to get there before it's too late! (smirking) And I think I'm gonna show you the way!
(Daisy shows them her phone, showing a GPS tracker. Zoom in on the GPS tracker.)
Daisy: All right, it says here that we need to go... This way!
(Back to Hal, Squeeks, Daisy, and Nature Cat, before the next line is said.)
Daisy: (to Hal and Nature Cat) Onward and westward we go!
Part 3: Circus Helpers[]
(After some more walking, Squeeks, Nature Cat, Hal, and Daisy reach the circus tent.)
Hal: (panting) Finally, we're at the circus.
(And then, Squeeks, Nature Cat, Hal, and Daisy enter the tent. But after they entered, they see that the mood is a little... off. There is no audience in the bleachers, and the circus equipment is not set up on the stage.)
Hal: (baffled) Wait a minute... This isn't what we came here for. Circus shows aren't supposed to look like this.
Squeeks: Yeah, Hal's right. The crowd should have arrived or had been settled by now and the circus would have began!
(The circus team, which consists of two circus dogs, a frog, a purple poodle, the orange female pirate cat named Gwendolyn (also known as One-Eared Winnie), a beaver, a woodpecker and a male red cardinal bird, and Leeza the female lizard are worriedly standing around in the middle of the circus ring. Close-up of Nature Cat.)
Nature Cat: (confused) And my sister Gwendolyn is in the circus? I thought she was on her pirate ship and enjoying her time sailing in the sea or looking for pieces of treasure.
(The ringmaster, who is a male, two-legged, talking green turtle who looks identical to Nature Cat, except he's got a top hat and a ringmaster suit on, is worried about something. He sees Squeeks, Nature Cat, Hal, and Daisy, and goes over to them. Hal sees the two differences of Nature Cat and...)
Hal: (flipping out) Whoa, a talking turtle who looks just like Nature Cat? That's crazy! (he tilts his head) And he's the ringmaster? (to Daisy) I bet Nature Cat is doing a double take right now, is he?
(On the words "Nature Cat is doing a double take right now, is he?", Nature Cat stares at Hal, displeased.)
Squeeks: (in a concerned voice) What's wrong, ringmaster? Is the circus in trouble?
(Ringmaster Tory the turtle looks around worriedly before his eyes land on Squeeks.)
Ringmaster Tory: (to Squeeks) I'm Tory the turtle. I'm the show's circus ringmaster. (in a defeated voice) But, uh... Bad news. We're missing two circus clowns that are the stars of our show! (panics)
Daisy: (listening) Okay, what else?
Circus Dog #1: (worried) And we are also missing a wild female robin named Harmony.
Leeza the female lizard: I have looked everywhere for all three of them with my fellow circus crew, but they were nowhere to be found. (sits on an empty bleacher, sighing) Looks like they'll be gone forever, and we won't see them again.
Circus Dog #2: (clinging to Ringmaster Tory) We can't do showtime like this!
(Cut to Squeeks, Ringmaster Tory, Nature Cat, Hal, and Daisy.)
Daisy: Man, oh man. Two circus clowns and a wild robin, all went missing? What can we do?!
Hal: (whines sightly) The show can't go on without them, can it?
Daisy: (concerned) This means, is there gonna be no circus?
Ringmaster Tory: (to Squeeks, Nature Cat, Hal, and Daisy) The thing is, showtime is in a few days, and we're expecting really big crowds. This is gonna be bad, and the crowds might boo us!
(Nature Cat thinks for a moment.)
Nature Cat: I have an idea! (to Hal, Squeeks, and Daisy) Why don't we help Ringmaster Tory search for the missing clowns and Harmony?
(Hal, Squeeks, and Daisy then huddle around him.)
Nature Cat: What do you say, my 3 friends? Are you ready to go on a search adventure?
Squeeks, Hal, and Daisy: (hands clasped together) Yeah!
Gwendoyn: (walking over to Nature Cat) Oh, I want to help you!
Nature Cat: (to Gwendoyn) Sure sis, anything we can do to help together is possible! (to the viewers) Come on! Let's go find the circus clowns before it's too late! Onward and yonward!
(Tory and the circus crew cheer for them, knowing that there is hope. Then, Gwendoyn, Nature Cat, Squeeks, Hal, and Daisy left the circus tent to start their search adventure.)
Part 4: The Circus Search Begins[]
(The camera pans down where Nature Cat, Gwendoyn, Squeeks, Hal, and Daisy are walking in the forest.)
Daisy: (excited) Yay, we're on a mission!
Squeeks: I don’t think there is much we can do, Daisy. It seems the ringmaster told us that the circus show is in a few days.
Nature Cat: Uh, Squeeks, I think we get the point.
Hal: Let's split up and cover more ground. (to Squeeks) Squeeks, you're small and can fit into tiny spaces, so can you check the rabbit holes and small tunnels? (he looks to Daisy) Daisy, you're fast, so you're going to run ahead and check the meadows and clearings, right?
Daisy: Uh, sure, why not Hal? (to Squeeks and Nature Cat) Let's meet back here in a little while and compare notes.
Gwendoyn: I can search the seven seas for the clowns.
(Daisy runs off, followed by Gwendolyn and Squeeks, leaving only Nature Cat with Hal.)
Hal: Hey, Nature Cat! You're great at climbing, so can you check the trees and see if you can spot anything from up high? (Hal turns away from Nature Cat and talks to himself) And I'll use my keen sense of smell to sniff out any clues on the forest floor. Ready, set, search!
(He gets down on all fours and begins sniffing his way offscreen, leaving Nature Cat all alone.)
Nature Cat: (worried, to the viewers) Tally-ho, I guess.
(Meanwhile, Harmony the robin, Billy the ferret, and Fred, who is a male lobster, are having trouble moving their circus train on the train tracks, as it has been run down.)
Billy: (excited) Oh boy, I sure can't wait for the circus to happen. (confused) But for some reason, our train isn't working with us.
Fred: (to Billy) Oh, you can say that again.
Harmony: Circus shows have always been my favorite! (she flaps her wings and chrips)
Billy: My respective interest of the flame jumping act is when they light up that hoop or ring of fire; I'm able to jump through it without getting burned alive.
Fred: (to Billy) That's too violent, Billy. The trapeze acts are a bit more than obvious and are way better than having to jump through burning fire hoops.
(Close up of Fred before his next line.)
Fred: (teasing) Mine is gonna be more superior to the other one, which is your flame jumping act.
(Billy mocks him back.)
Billy: Nuh-uh Fred. Mine will be superior to the other one, which is your trapeze act!
(Fred is displaced by the fact that Billy made and continues to shove the train harder until getting really tired.)
(In the distance, Hal, Gwendolyn, and Daisy are in a bush. They peek out of the bush with their eyes.)
Hal: (gasps) Oh dear, it sounds like Harmony, Billy, and Fred are having some trouble with the circus train!
Gwendolyn: (whispering) I hope they can get it fixed soon, or the whole show will be delayed!
Hal: (in a loud voice) And it sounds like Billy and Fred are getting a bit competitive about the acts in the circus!
(Daisy notices and she shushes Hal.)
Daisy: (whispering to Hal) Hal! You gotta keep your voice down, or else we'll be spotted. Flame jumping and trapeze acts are both amazing, but I think they're just making things worse by arguing about it.
(Cut to Fred, who is still shoving the train.)
Daisy: (voiceover, still whispering) And poor Fred, getting shoved around by Billy's enthusiasm! I just hope they can work together to get the train moving again. Maybe we'll stumble upon them during our search and can lend a paw... or a claw, whatever that means. Anyway, we gotta send help to them. (cut back to her, Hal, and Gwendolyn) Come on Hal and Gwendolyn!
(Daisy, Hal, and Gwendolyn run out of the bush, then cut to Harmony, who is inspecting the run down train while Fred and Billy are still pushing the train.)
Harmony: Hmm... I wonder what's holding up the train, so is it just a matter of getting it started or is there something more seriously wrong with it?
(She hears noise coming from the front of the train. Squeeks, Gwendolyn, Hal, Daisy, and Nature Cat are at the front of the train, as they all try their hardest to help them push the train up the train tracks.)
Harmony: (thankful) Oh, thank you, kind helping strangers! (then the scene cuts to Fred and Billy)
Fred: (confused) What? Strangers? Did Harmony just say, strangers?!
Billy: (to Fred) Whatever she said, our train is really going up these tracks now, with the help of hands.
(The train stops on a hill where Squeeks, Hal, Daisy, Gwendolyn, and Nature Cat go to catch their breath, until Fred, Harmony, and Billy approach them from behind.)
Part 5: Meeting Billy, Harmony, and Fred[]
Billy: Well, you guys may not know us. But I'm Billy.
Fred: Hey hey, I'm Fred! I'm a lobster in the circus. (he points at Harmony) And, this here is Harmony. She's the assistant to us. She was also the one who thanked you guys if you were wondering.
Hal: (to Fred) No no, the ringmaster said you guys were missing, so we came to help you.
Daisy: But anyway, I'm Daisy. I carry a smartphone with me to rely on information. (she points at Hal) This is Hal. He's our absent minded friend.
Squeeks: I'm Squeeks. (she shakes hands with Fred) Nice to meet ya, Fred.
Gwendolyn: I'm Gwendolyn. I don't really go on adventures since I usually like the seven seas.
Billy: And... (he points rudely at Nature Cat, a stern look is on his face) Who are you supposed to be?
(Nature Cat chuckles in a nervous way.)
Nature Cat: Oh. I'm... Nature Cat.
Hal: (misunderstanding) It's great to meet the clowns, Blinky and Giggles, and their partner, Harmony. (to Fred) And now that we've got a chance to catch our breath-
Billy: (stern) We're Fred and Billy, not Blinky and Giggles, Hal!
Harmony: (to Billy) Woah, Billy! Calm down! Give our new friends some time to learn our names, okay?!
Billy: (ignorant) Whatever.
Squeeks: We're all happy to have met you and helped out with the train.
(Speaking of which, Fred, Harmony, Billy, Gwendolyn, Squeeks, Hal, Daisy, and Nature Cat get back on the train. Fred begins to work the train as it continues down the tracks.)
Daisy: Now that we've got the train moving, I hope we can get the circus show back on track!
Hal: What's the plan now for us? I really bet that Ringmaster Tory will be happy to see that everything is back to normal, right?
Fred: We three clowns: which is me, Fred, Harmony, and Billy, must get to the circus tent on time for practice so that I can be-
Billy: (chiming in, still teasing Fred) No, I wanna be the first one to show off amazing moves in front of huge crowds since I'm way better at circus moves than any other clown in our circus!
Harmony: (to Billy) Break it up, Billy. We are really far away from showtime.
(Fred is quiet and he just scoffs at Billy, just because he's the main star of every show they have put on. Then this leads to Fred, Billy, and Harmomy arguing over which one of them gets to go first at the circus show, making Daisy and Hal break them up as the train suddenly breaks down again in a snowy landscape.)
Part 6: Cave Hiding[]
Billy: Oh, great, here we go again. This train has never given me any issues before since I'm great at operating the train. (to Gwendolyn, Fred, Harmony, Squeeks, Hal, Daisy, and Nature Cat) Everyone, get out.
(He exits the train along with Gwendolyn, Fred, Harmony, Squeeks, Hal, Daisy, and Nature Cat. But the end result is the group standing atop a cold, chilly mountain.)
Harmony: (worried) Oh no. I don't survive in cold weather, I'm a robin. Robins are birds, but in this place, I forgot to wear hats since this always happens in the winter.
(Harmony looked up at Fred.)
Harmony: (in a polite voice) Fred, do you have something for me?
Fred: (to Harmony) I sure do, Harmony. (He puts a circus hat on Harmony's head, calming her down)
Squeeks: Whoa, it looks like things got a bit heated between Fred, Billy, and Harmony.
(She looks at Hal and Daisy.)
Hal: Well, I'm glad Daisy and I were able to break them up before things did heat up.
Daisy: Where exactly are we though? This is not the circus. (to the viewers) Hey, fellow nature adventurer! Do you know where we are?
(Pause. Viewer responds with "The snowy mountains.")
Billy, Gwendolyn, Fred, Harmony, Hal, Daisy, and Nature Cat: (to the viewers) The snowy mountains?!
(Close-up of Squeeks.)
Squeeks: It seems like we've reached a bit of a chilly impasse. We're standing atop this cold, chilly mountain, just like what the viewer said to us, (to Daisy) and Harmony doesn't need to worry about the cold as long as she's got Fred!
Daisy: Aw, that's so sweet of Fred to lend Harmony his hat!
Squeeks: (realizing) But uh, I forget of a plan for the rest of us...
Daisy: (to Squeeks) Don't worry, Squeeks, we'll figure something out together. (reassuring) I'm sure you'll come up with a great plan. It's why you're always so clever and resourceful like I am, with my phone.
(She scans her phone for a warm place as Fred looks at the phone. Cut to Hal.)
Hal: Oh, I wish we could just find a place to rest. This place gets really cold!
Daisy: Hal! Just take a deep breath and think for a moment. We can't get down from the mountain without a plan, but I'm sure we'll come up with something soon.
Nature Cat: Maybe we can work together to find a way down, and Harmony can use her bird's eye view to scout out a path. And me, Nature Cat, can use the nature ability to climb down and find a safe route. (to the viewers) We'll get down from this mountain, don't worry! Do you viewers think so, too?
(Pause. Wait for the viewer to respond, "Yes!".)
Daisy: (to the viewer) Wow, thanks!
Billy: "Nature ability?" Ugh... (to Hal, Daisy, Nature Cat, and Squeeks) You guys are so weird, huh?
Daisy: Billy, it's because most animals hibernate in the winter.
Billy: Well, whatever the term "most animals hibernate in the winter" means in real life, we're all getting out of this mess. And I don't care if you say "yes" and I also won't care if you say "no" either. (his face turned stern again) We're hiding in that cave, so get back on the train! Now!
(Fred, Harmony, Billy, Gwendolyn, Squeeks, Hal, Daisy, and Nature Cat get back on the train yet again. Billy begins to work the train as it continues down the tracks and into the cave that he mentioned, where it stops. Hal looks out the window.)
Hal: Oh boy, this is getting interesting! (laughs) Billy thinks Squeeks is weird like the rest of us. (to Billy) I'm not actually that weird, but I think Squeeks's just having a brain freeze. And now Daisy is trying to get everyone to hide in a cave because she thinks it's winter, and that most animals will hibernate during this time.
(On the words "hibernate during this time", Daisy and Nature Cat put their hands on their hips and stare at Hal.)
Fred: (warmly) I think there's been a bit of a mix-up, Daisy. It's not winter, and we're not exactly in hibernation mode as we're in a train right now. But I have to admit, a cave could be a good place to take shelter from the cold.
Billy: If it does snow, by any chance.
(Cut to a close-up of Nature Cat.)
Nature Cat: Maybe we can find one that's cozy and warm, and we can take a break and figure out our next move. But I'm not sure about hibernating early, Daisy. I think we need to keep moving and find a way to get to the circus on time.
Squeeks: Yeah, we're running out of time and we can't keep the circus waiting, friends!
(Billy and Harmony begin to accuse one another of causing themselves to end up in the snowy mountains with their broken train, constantly yelling at each other. As it begins getting even more colder, they rush the time they wasted and start to heat up their friends (and themselves) up inside the train so that they don't suffer from the cold, yet the train moves a little on the track and it stops.)
Fred: Aw man. First, I see Harmony quarreling with Billy again, and now, it's getting colder by the minute! But we're warming up now because I don't think I could have taken much more of that cold. However, we moved the train a little bit and then we stopped the train again?!
Hal: What's going on? Is the train fixed? Can we finally get to the circus?
Squeeks: I hope so, because I don't think we can take much more of this cold and arguing.
Gwendolyn: (concerned) And what about Billy and Harmony, Squeeks? Are they going to keep fighting each other, or can we all just get along?
Hal: I think we need to take a deep breath and figure out what's going on with the train, and then we can worry about getting to the circus.
(Daisy frowns. Hal and Nature Cat are the only ones who noticed Daisy's dismay.)
Hal: Poor Daisy.
Nature Cat: (to Hal) But Hal. She's already been a bit confused about the season and hibernation, and now the train is malfunctioning again.
Hal: I can tell she's feeling really dismayed and frustrated. I think I'll go over and try to comfort her. (to the viewer) Maybe a friendly nuzzle or a reassuring paw on the shoulder will help her feel a bit better. (He walks over to Daisy) We'll get through this, Daisy! We'll figure out what's going on with the train and get to the circus in time, I promise!
(Close-up of Squeeks and Fred.)
Fred: Our train is still run down, it's only moving slow and steady. We can't be like this forever!
Squeeks: I agree with what Fred just said. (Harmony flies in)
Harmony: Maybe the train will get fixed in the near future?
Daisy: Now, all we gotta do is help Fred, Billy, and Harmony fix their run down train on time as well as giving them some time to consider their feelings.
Nature Cat: (confused) Yonward for that, maybe?
Daisy: (to Nature Cat, also confused) Right?
(Cut to Gwendolyn, Fred, Billy, and Harmony, whose faces don't look too good... Fred, Billy, and Harmony are not smiling at what they said. Then, Harmony, Fred, and Billy, having lost all of the confidence that they needed, take each other's hand and leave to the back of the train as the train continues on through the snowy mountains.)
Part 7: Learning To Work Together[]
Daisy: Oh, no. Billy and Harmony have lost confidence and are feeling really down now.
Hal: (to Daisy) Either generally, or in some particular respect, it's best to leave them be for now. We'll come back for them when they're ready to make it all up.
(Error: Hal's mouth stops moving when he said "come back for them when they're ready to" but resumes on "when they're ready to make it all up." Then, Gwendolyn, Squeeks, Hal, Daisy, and Nature Cat look on, also feeling sad that they had to end it this way.)
Squeeks: And with that parting, I can understand why they'd feel that way, with the train always being broken down, and the circus show to get to. (she gets emotional and breaks down in tears) It's the circus show, in a few days. We won't make it!
Gwendolyn: But it seems like Billy and Harmony just need some time to themselves right now.
Daisy: (comforting Squeeks) But I'm glad Nature Cat is trying to stay positive and come up with a plan!
(Nature Cat's eyes swell up with tears.)
Nature Cat: (emotional) I hope they'll be okay, and that we can work together to get to the circus on time...
Hal: (comforting Nature Cat) There there, Nature Cat. I'm sure something will work out soon. You don't need to cry.
(Gwendolyn, Squeeks, Hal, Daisy, and Nature Cat take deep breaths, which calms them all down. Then, Squeeks, Gwendolyn, Hal, Daisy, and Nature Cat practice their own guest performances with the items in another part of the moving train. However, Squeeks sees that neither Harmony and Fred feel motivated to practice, already saddened by being separated from their respective partner, Billy.)
Harmony: Billy left like that. He can't be acting like this all along. It's going to fail, and no one will like us!
Squeeks: (to Harmony) Oh, I think I know why. You and Fred really miss being with Billy, right? It's hard to be separated from someone you care about, especially when you're used to performing together.
Fred: But sometimes when I have big feelings-
Harmony: (emotional) We cannot really work things out soon, for the sake of the circus show and for our own happiness. Because of Billy, this planned circus is gonna kiss its precious lives “goodbye”, and we will lose "Ringmaster Tory" and our equipment! (raises her wings up to the ceiling) And even our own friends!
(Fred isn't crying, so he instead takes a deep breath, followed by Squeeks.)
Fred: No need to cry, Harmony. (takes another deep breath, which Harmony tries)
Daisy: (looking on) Maybe we can come up with a way to help them reunite and feel motivated again, huh Squeeks?
(On the words "reunite and feel motivated again, huh Squeeks?", Squeeks turns to Daisy and smiles.)
Fred: (in agreement) Let's do this!
(They spend the evening in the circus train, which is now travelling through the swamp, and Harmony unexpectedly joins Daisy and Gwendolyn's hooping trick rehearsal, while Nature Cat and Fred join Hal with his trapeze practice.)
Squeeks: Harmony has joined Daisy's hooping trick rehearsal, and she is trying to work hard! It means, they're trying new things as we go, even if we learn from them. (watches as they spin and twirl the hoops) They're having so much fun together, and it's great to see Harmony's spirits lifting, even after I helped her feel better. (her tail then wiggles and she notices Daisy helping out Harmony)
(Cut to Hal, Fred, and Nature Cat, with the trapezes all set up.)
Hal: Meanwhile, Nature Cat and Fred have joined me for some trapeze practice! (he swings around on the trapeze) We're all having a blast, and I think this is just what we needed to take our minds off the troubles with the train and the circus show. (lands on the other side) Maybe, just maybe, something will work out and we'll all be able to perform together after all.
(Cut to Nature Cat, who sees the flying trapeze coming for him.)
Nature Cat: Right you are, Hal! (to the viewers) The atmosphere on the train is feeling more positive and hopeful, and I think we're all starting to come together as a team. (to the trapeze bar) I hope Billy the ferret comes around soon, he's missing out on all of our fun plans!
(He then tries another trapeze swing and waves.)
Nature Cat: (swinging on the trapeze) Oh, yeah! Tally-ho!
(Then several scenes show Fred and Harmony practicing, while they are still trying to make the best of the situation, even if they're not happy about the partner swap. Daisy, Gwendolyn, Nature Cat, Squeeks, and Hal are helping the two to keep trying and not lose hope. Fred looks outside a window for a bit. Then he was looking back at the others as they continue on with their work.)
Fred: (breathes) Oh, what a wonderful work session that it's turning out to actually be! The circus train is travelling through the mucky swamp, and it's so cool to see the cypress trees and Spanish moss passing by outside the windows. (he then turned his attention over to Billy, who has his back turned away from him) Practice makes perfect, doesn't it, Billy?
Part 8: Billy's Ignorance[]
(Cut to Billy, who is seated all alone, facing a wall.)
Billy: (ignoring the others, including Fred) They can have fun all they want without me. (looks out the window, talking to himself) So, Nature Cat, you want to go and save the entire circus, huh? You're not gonna like it if you don't help me.
(The train has stopped at an empty station for the night. As such, Gwendolyn, Fred, Squeeks, Billy, Harmony, Hal, Daisy, and Nature Cat file out of the train, one by one, and set up their campsite near the station. Squeeks stops to rest near a tree.)
Squeeks: (sighs) It's so peaceful and quiet here, being surrounded by the sound of nature! But I can't rest now, the circus is calling on me and my crew. I'm going to keep perfecting my act.
(She, Daisy, Nature Cat, Gwendolyn, and Hal want to rehearse another part of their own acts, but then they are suddenly surprised to see Fred and Harmony practicing a flying trapeze act, with Billy also doing a juggling act below them, despite his ongoing behavior towards them.)
Hal: (amazed) This is incredible! The way they're working together, it's like they've been doing this forever. (begins to clap for Billy) And look! (cut to Billy, who is still juggling) Billy the ferret is juggling like a pro! Oh yeah, let's shake it, Billy!
Billy: (stern) Huh? What do you mean by "juggling like a pro?"
(The juggling balls hit the ground, ending his act.)
Daisy: (to Billy) Well, I'm so happy to see everyone coming together like this, it's really bringing our act to life.
(Fred jumps down from the trapeze and lands onto Billy's head, displeasing Billy.)
Fred: I like this act a lot now, and can I do it again with your juggling, Billy?
(In more scenes showing the rehearse acts, Fred and Billy start to see the appeal of their opposing type, but they're still (not completely) satisfied with who's favorite circus act is better over the other. After a while, Harmony flies over to the group upon seeing the stopped progress.)
Harmony: The trapeze act that we had just planned. (worried) Oh no! We must cancel it or at least try to change it, and we should sadly cancel a lot of other acts that all of us have already practiced for the show!
(Cut to Daisy and Billy.)
Daisy: Someone needs to come up with new ideas for our show as we go. That was what I said, new ideas!
Billy: (to Daisy) If I do say so myself. (teasing) Fred's trapeze act is so much relentless. Don't tell him to compare it to my pro juggling! (he starts to show off with the juggling balls, which he picks up from the ground) It's not really everyone's fault, to be honest, and try to think outside the box. (continues juggling as he enters a cabin on the train with Daisy, then they close it, leaving Squeeks with Harmony, Gwendolyn, Fred, Nature Cat, and Hal)
Fred: (annoyed) Oh great, here we go again!
Hal: Now, I'm confused. (to Harmony) That's not what we had in mind, did we?
Squeeks: (looking on from the tree that she's under, but gets herself worried again) Oh dear, it seems like we are all feeling a bit frustrated and uncertain about the show. (points to the cabin) And now, Daisy and Billy are leaving us, just to take a break?!
Gwendolyn: (upset) We are sure gonna fail this, I just know it!
Hal: (discouraged) Oh...
(Harmony lands on Squeeks's head.)
Harmony: Sooner enough, I hope we all can find a way to work through the toughest differences, and come up with a solution. And that is what we are all going to look forward too, no matter what the outcomes are! (looks up) It's gonna be a long night. They better not fight each other like we three clowns did before, or else things will actually, and I mean it, be getting worse from here.
(She flies over to the train cabin, leaving behind Gwendolyn, Nature Cat, Squeeks, Hal, and Fred.)
Nature Cat: (perking up) I love what they said about thinking outside the box before closing the door on us. That's exactly what we need to do - think creatively and come up with a new plan. (puts his hands on his hips) I'll try to do just that, and see if I can come up with new ideas as we enter...
Part 9: Try, Try, Try Again[]
(Now, Gwendolyn, Nature Cat, Squeeks, Hal, and Fred are all tucked in sleeping bags, preparing themselves for sleep. But Squeeks and Nature Cat stay awake, worried about something.)
(Hal, Gwendolyn, and Fred already had dozed off, dreaming of what's to come for them and the circus if they didn't act fast.)
Squeeks: (whispering) The soft sounds of the crickets and the blows of the breeze isn't helping me sleep at all, Nature Cat! I just felt so worried about how we did our current appeals during today's practice, Nature Cat. I believe that Harmony neglected us for Billy, did she?
Nature Cat: (also whispering) Harmony needed to help out the others, not try to get away or neglect any of us. But since we met the circus clowns for the first time ever, I'm still realizing this: Billy isn't doing so well with us. (then he sits up in his sleeping bag) We got to check on Daisy and see how the ferret is doing with Daisy or Harmony as of right now, before it's too late!
Squeeks: (whispering) Or, if Billy plans to hurt Daisy?! Yikes! That's gonna be bad, so count the mouse in, Nature Cat.
(Squeeks sits up in her sleeping bag, and without warning, Squeeks and Nature Cat climb out of their sleeping bags and run. This soon wakes up Fred, Gwendolyn, and Hal, who run after them.)
Gwendolyn, Fred, and Hal: Wait up, Squeeks. Watch out for danger, Nature Cat!
(They all notice Billy, Daisy, and Harmony at the station, where they're repairing the train and planning a surprise act together at the same time.)
Fred: (wide eyed) My, oh, my! Do you guys see this?!
Squeeks: What?
(Fred points to the scene.)
Nature Cat, Squeeks, Gwendolyn, Fred, and Hal: (gasp)
Squeeks: They're repairing the train, but it looks like they're also planning something else. (watches as they whisper and gesture to each other) It seems like they're coming up with a surprise act together!
Fred: Either way, I'm so excited to see what they've planned for all 5 of us. (puts a reassuring claw on his hip) Maybe this is just what we need to turn the show around and make it a success.
Gwendolyn: (nods) We 5 friends will just observe from a distance, and see if any of us can learn more about their secret plan...
(Fred, Gwendolyn, Squeeks, Nature Cat, and Hal suddenly see Daisy joining them as well as Harmony.)
Hal: Doing this work is going faster than ever. We're going to get to the circus and save the day, I just know it.
Fred: (to the others) Let's get to work! This circus isn't going down without a fight!
The others, except for Billy and Nature Cat: (cheering)
Part 10: Circus Practice #1[]
(Daisy uses nature materials that she sees on the ground to create a hula hoop. Using her ears, she lifts up a hula hoop that she made with the nature materials and swings it onto Fred's tail. Fred laughs at the sight. Meanwhile, Squeeks is bouncing on a trampoline as if she was shot out of a cannon.)
Squeeks: (in midair) Count the mouse in! Ha, ha! (she falls back down to the rubber and decides to get off)
(Gwendolyn is on the equipment for the static trapeze, also known as fixed trapeze. She's using her sword and pirate equipment to swing around on the trapeze bars and she is having a good time doing it.)
(Meanwhile, Nature Cat is scouting the scenery for something to use.)
Nature Cat: (to the viewers) I remember the episode "Pet Sounds", where my friends and I made instruments out of the stuff that we see in nature!
(Flashbacks from Pet Sounds are shown as Nature Cat is speaking.)
Nature Cat: (voiceover) To compete in the Battle Of The Pet Bands, we collected some materials from nature and used them to make instruments of our own. Our old instruments got lost in the ocean on that day, but that never stopped us.
(The flashback ends and fades back into the present.)
Nature Cat: (to the viewer) Would you like to see what creations I have in store?
(Pause. The viewer gives an excited response to Nature Cat.)
Nature Cat: (to the viewers) Hooray! (to the nature materials) Onward and musicward! Let's make music, all together!
(Nature Cat made a musical instrument out of nature materials, then he juggles sticks with his tail as he played around with his new nature instrument.)
Daisy: (spinning around with Hal and Fred before the three begin jumping in place) I think we might make it to the circus on time and have an amazing show to put on once we are finished!
Fred: Yeah, (shows a picture of Tory and the circus crew) it's not like the circus crew and Tory will get mad at us if we didn't return very soon.
(While they all begin working on 2 different things at once and helping Fred with his juggling act, Daisy starts to throw another hula hoop to Harmony to enhance the practice. Harmony flies through the hula hoop, chirping.)
(Cut to Billy, who is still annoyed with what he's seeing.)
Billy: (blows a raspberry tongue at the others as they work. However, they don't notice it and just continue) You call this circus work, huh? Oh, I'll show you folks later what I can, really do for you.
(Nature Cat comes over to him.)
Nature Cat: (to Billy) Don't be annoyed, Billy. We're all making it out of this mess. Helping makes me feel good inside, and so will you.
Billy: No. It doesn't. It makes me lonely. It makes me lose hope just like the others did when I fought with them too much.
(Squeeks arrives and reassures Billy as well.)
Squeeks: (looking to the others with Nature Cat and Billy) Well, look on the bright side. It's amazing to see everyone coming together.
Nature Cat: (to Squeeks) Woah, ho ho! You're thinking on the bright side!
(Cut to Daisy and Hal, who are both smiling and laughing and having a good time.)
Hal: (excited) Oh, being in a circus for the first time and getting to help out the crew with creative work! It's like playing with my dog toys when I'm feeling down. (to Daisy) Daisy! I like it when you make new hula hoops out of nature. You even give it to me so that I can try it!
Daisy: Okay, here comes another one for you, Hal!
(Hal then sees Daisy lift up another nature hula hoop from her ears and she swings it onto his tail, (just like what she did with Fred before.) Fred leaps over Hal's head, but this hula hoop falls off of his tail and onto Daisy's tail, then it goes back to Squeeks, Nature Cat, and Billy.)
(Squeeks is still smiling at the progress, but then something hits Billy.)
Billy: I- I don't understand this. (soon realizing) We're working on two different things at once, and it's actually starting to come together? (he looks down at Squeeks)
Squeeks: (to Billy) Just watch me. I'll show you the "pro way" about what we mean about "helping each other". You'll see, Billy!
(The small blue mouse goes over to the trampoline again and begins to jump on it. Meanwhile, Fred is still getting help with his juggling act, and Daisy is throwing another nature hula hoop to both Hal and Harmony to enhance the practice. The energy is electric, and everyone else is working together in perfect harmony. From the train, Billy is watching each of the acts, taking it all in.)
Billy: I can understand why Squeeks would be disappointed in me for whatever I did. (to the viewers) And she was really counting on me to help. (deterimined) But I'm not giving up on my hope just yet! After all, we're all in this together, and we need everyone's help to make the show a success! (looks to the broken train's parts) I need to fix the train first before I can have fun practicing and learning!
Part 11: The Ferret Makes Creative Progress![]
(Billy fixes the broken down train while the acts are still ongoing behind him. After he gets the train fixed and goes right to bed, the others start to practice their reflexes by throwing frisbees and undergo more training before bed, which repeats for the next 3 days. During the session, Billy regains confidence. Gwendolyn, Squeeks, Daisy, Hal, and Nature Cat pitch in with ideas, and Billy then uses a magic wand, while Harmony is proud of him for now joining in and then Fred jumps into the air with an extra magic wand, creating a captivating display of confetti like photos of Hal, Gwendolyn, Nature Cat, Squeeks, and Daisy.)
(On the ground, Hal, Nature Cat, Squeeks, Gwendolyn and Daisy gasped before they all cheered happily at their confetti photos. Afterwards, the already amazed Daisy snaps pictures of the photos with her phone. Then she puts away her phone.)
Daisy: We've been throwing frisbees, undergoing training, and perfecting our acts. (to the viewers) And Billy has finally regained his confidence and joined in with us! (she then looks up at the confetti photos, which are still floating in the air, surrounded by colorful glitter and sparks) I see the confetti pictures of me, Nature Cat, Squeeks, Gwendolyn, and Hal, with perfect finishing touches, surrounded by fancy glitter! (claps)
Nature Cat: (in a fancy voice) Oh, and don't forget those shiny looking sparks.
Squeeks: It's like a dream come true.
Hal: (looks over to Harmony, who's with Billy as the two share ideas of their own) Harmony is beaming with pride, and I can tell she's thrilled to see Billy joining in.
Gwendolyn: This is exactly what we needed to take our act to the next level.
Nature Cat: I'm so grateful to be a part of this circus team and to have such talented friends!
Daisy: (to Gwendolyn and Squeeks) No need to fret now! Fred, Billy, and Harmony are practicing hard for us too, because they want to be able to perform very well, just like when we first practiced the acts!
Hal: (determined) Right, we did it together!
(Hal, Nature Cat, Squeeks, Gwendolyn and Daisy are now standing with Fred, Billy, and Harmony. Seeing their partners' determination, Fred, Billy, and Harmony decide to turn over a new leaf. And then, under the advice of Squeeks, Fred and Billy join Harmony so that the three clowns can forgive one another for their actions.)
Fred, Billy, and Harmony: Sorry for what we did with each other. What we did wasn't how a circus clown behaves or works.
Hal: I can feel the passion and dedication emanating from them. And besides, it's so heartwarming to see the group of three clowns coming together like this! I'm gonna say, I'm totally gonna agree with them for making up for what they did to each other while being circus clowns.
Daisy: (to Hal) Right you are, Hal. And now, Fred and the others are deciding to turn over a new leaf. (they look at the clowns sharing a hug with each other and applaud for them)
Squeeks: (looking on) It's a beautiful moment! (to Gwendolyn) The three clowns are finally making amends and putting their differences aside. This is exactly what we needed, a renewed sense of teamwork and camaraderie.
Gwendolyn: And it's just so great to see everyone on the same page. With their newfound unity, I just know we're going to put on an amazing show by the time we get to the circus. (soon realizing) Oh boy, we gotta stop saying that!
(Squeeks, Fred, Daisy, Billy, Harmony, and Hal all look to Gwendolyn in confusion, but Nature Cat is the only one who cheers for the clowns.)
Billy: (encouraged) This is a moment to remember, where I have forgiven my two friends, Fred and Harmony, for being too harsh on them, and we're all coming together as a team.
Nature Cat: (to Billy) I just know we're going to have an amazing and awesome circus show and make the entire audience in the circus arena go wild when the ringmaster says our names! They'll see the "true appreciation of this circus" in our eyes when they see our acts on the big stage!
Squeeks: (stern) Yeah yeah we get the point now, guys. Can we stop with that now?
(The others face Squeeks and then they nod to her with silent looks on their faces without saying a single word. Anyways... It's the eve before the group has their big circus show.)
Fred: (to Gwendolyn, Harmony, Nature Cat, Daisy, Hal, Squeeks, and Billy) It's our moment. Showtime is gonna happen, and we will knock this circus show right out of this world! We're gonna make history! Let's get working one final time, then we will hit the road! (points to the equipment) What do you say? Care to sharpen our acts one more time?
Daisy: I can already imagine the thrill of performing in front of a huge animal audience.
Nature Cat: (pitching in) With the audience cheering us all on, this day will really become a very very very great and iconic night to remember, and I just know we're all going to shine on that big stage!
(Then, Gwendolyn, Harmony, Nature Cat, Daisy, Hal, Squeeks, and Billy all cheer and run off to the equipment. Fred follows suit after seeing Squeeks run off.)
Part 12: See Us Coming Together[]
(Fred, Gwendolyn, Harmony, Nature Cat, Daisy, Hal, Squeeks, and Billy practice every single one of their circus acts that they've been working on. After the sessions are complete, they gather near the circus train and pack up all of the equipment that they have been using into their respective cargo trains.)
(Before they all board the train, Hal stands near Billy and Harmony, wanting to tell them something.)
Hal: Hey, Harmony and Billy!
Billy: (to Hal) What's up, Hal?
Hal: The forest will be a great place for all of the forest animals to see us in action! (starts to do action poses) And the faces of those forest animals will light up with joy when they do see us perform big time! (excited expression on his face) Yeah, I mean, "really big time!"
Harmony: You said it, Hal! (she then high fives Hal)
Fred: (to Hal) Anyone is welcome to see me, Squeeks, Gwendolyn, Daisy, Nature Cat, Billy, and Harmony, (points to Hal) including you, Hal. You've inspired me, Billy, and even Harmony the robin!
Billy: It's almost the ending to the eve of the big show, and we're all ready to put on an unforgettable performance, something which no animal has never ever seen before.
Daisy: We've practiced every single one of our circus acts together, and I can feel the energy and anticipation building up.
(Hal nods in agreement.)
Nature Cat: So we gotta get a move on, the circus crew's counting on us.
Fred: Well, what are we all waiting for? It's go time! (deterimined) We are going to make history, and no one will be able to stop any of us! You heard me? No one can stop me and my circus crew now!
(He hops into the train first, followed by Harmony, Nature Cat, Gwendolyn, Daisy, Hal, Squeeks, and Billy. When everyone else is seated on the train, Fred pushes a green button, which makes the train pop out speed boosters from it's sides. The others gasp.)
Nature Cat: Onward and yonward! Or, maybe... How about we say, onward and circusward?
(On the word "circusward", Fred pulls the lever.)
(The train then starts moving so fast through the landscapes on the tracks that the the scenery is passing by in a blur as the train goes faster with its speed boosters. In the train, Fred, Harmony, Nature Cat, Gwendolyn, Daisy, Hal, Squeeks, and Billy are having the time of their life.)
Part 13: Returning To The Circus[]
(Meanwhile, Ringmaster Tory, the two dogs, the frog, the dismayed purple poodle, the beaver, the 2 birds, and Leeza the female lizard stand in front of the circus tent, as they are nervously waiting for the train.)
Beaver: Where are they? The circus show begins in a couple of minutes.
Purple Poodle: Well, I don't know about them. They will take too long to get here, and we're expecting a really big crowd for tonight's show! (crosses her arms)
Male Cardinal: Yeah, or else we'll be a huge failure without them. (tweets nervously)
Circus Dog #2: (worried) Oh no!
Ringmaster Tory: No worries, crew! I trust Nature Cat for this job, and he and his friends knew that we believe in him for what he does for us.
(Cut back to the circus train. Hal is keeping an eye out for the circus tent as the train slowly chugs along the tracks.)
Hal: I see the animals! They all look a bit nervous, probably wondering if we'll make it back in time for the show.
Squeeks: The ringmaster won't start the show without us!
Daisy: I hope we can put their minds at ease and arrive soon.
Fred: (chiming in) The suspense is building up, and I can feel the anticipation that continues to grow. Will we make it back in time? Will the show be a success without us if we didn't make it to them?
Billy: (to Squeeks and Fred) You'll see.
(After a while, the train returns, pulling near the circus tent. Fred gets out first, followed by Squeeks, then Gwendolyn, then Daisy, then Billy, then Nature Cat, then Hal, and then Harmony flies out last.)
Harmony: (to Ringmaster Tory and the circus crew) Sorry we're late! We had a bit of a mix up with our acts during our time away from the circus. (looks to Gwendolyn, Squeeks, Daisy, Nature Cat, and, Hal) But we had the biggest help ever sent to us by Gwendolyn, Squeeks, Daisy, Nature Cat, and, Hal.
Fred: Despite all the ups and downs we faced during our time away from the circus, we worked it out.
Male Cardinal: (in agreement) Yeah, you might be right. (flies over to them) I can see the appreciation and gratitude in your own eyes, and it's clear that you all had really worked together to make it happen.
Daisy: Well, we may have had our differences and challenges, but in the end, we came together as a team and supported each other. And now, we're all ready to put on an amazing show and make the circus a success.
(Cut to Ringmaster Tory.)
Ringmaster Tory: The acts for our circus! I think you guys planned such wonderful acts. I'm feeling relieved and happy to now hear that everything is ready to go.
Squeeks: Yeah, they're perfect for the show! (jumps up and down with excitement) You can introduce whatever you like to our audience, featuring our work!
Hal: And now, it's time to get everything ready for the show, so that we don't have to keep the audience waiting.
Daisy: It's time, already!? I cannot wait! (prepares herself to run inside until Ringmaster Tory stops her)
Ringmaster Tory: (thankful) Oh, thank you, Squeeks. Thanks, Daisy. (cut to Hal) Thank you, Hal. (cut to Nature Cat) And a special thank you to you, Nature Cat. (to the viewers) And you viewers need to be thanked by us too for your help in getting back my clowns and Harmony.
Male Cardinal: There's plenty of room for everyone! Ha, ha! (to the viewers) And your invited to join in on the fun!
Ringmaster Tory: And our audience won't be left waiting any longer because I'm gonna plan a surprise just for them. But until then... (looks to the others) Let's get working!
(The stuff is being unpacked from the train into the circus tent, and everyone is pitching in to help. Squeeks and Daisy help with the not heavy stuff, while Nature Cat, Gwendolyn, the beaver, and Hal pick up the heavy equipment. They then all cheer at the success they did to set up the circus tent!)
Daisy: Oh, we did it! We just set up everything for the circus.
Squeeks: We can't wait to show our friends.
Male Cardinal: (to Squeeks and Daisy) Well, you both won't have to be waiting for a little longer, because it's now showtime!
(Cut to Ringmaster Tory again.)
Ringmaster Tory: (to the others) Places please!
Part 14: Showtime![]
(The scene fades to black. It fades in to show the circus ring before it pans over to the bleachers in the circus tent, which are already filled up with a large audience of different animals, including a few friends from the TV series "Nature Cat": Flo the Heron, Chandler the Toad, Lola the Flamingo, Sammy the fox and his mother, Mama Fox, Jingles the cat, MC Ferret, Lulu Ladybug, and Kathy the spiny lobster. The lights start to dim and the animal audience quiets down, as Ringmaster Tory takes to the circus ring on a giant platform.)
Ringmaster Tory: (speaks into a microphone, his voice booming through the tent) Welcome one and all! Boy and girl animals of every age! Presenting you the biggest!
(Cut to MC Ferret, Chandler the Toad, Mama Fox, Sammy the fox, and Lulu Ladybug as they all listen intently in one of the front row bleachers.)
Ringmaster Tory: (voice over) And also, the greatest! (cut back to Ringmaster Tory) Show of all time! (he starts gesturing with his microphone) We've got thrilling acts and a bunch of surprises in store for you tonight, and how they decided to come together from far and wide to perform this special circus for all of you.
(As he speaks, the stage curtains behind him then open to reveal a massive set of the circus equipment from earlier. The animal audience erupts into cheers.)
Ringmaster Tory: (into his microphone) It's, The Amazing Circus of, Billy And Fred!
(The audience cheers even louder, then the scene cuts to the backstage room. Harmony, Daisy, Hal, Squeeks, Billy, Gwendolyn, the two circus dogs, the frog, the purple poodle, the beaver, the 2 birds, Nature Cat, Fred, and Leeza the female lizard are all huddled up, listening to the cheers of the audience. They then have a pep talk.)
Part 15: Pep Talk[]
Billy: (to the others) Okay crew, listen up! We're here for the audience to show them that we're going to be confident and also, to give it our all.
Fred: Fun is what we also do here, so don't you guys forget about having some fun!
Purple Poodle: (holding onto a unicycle) No matter what we do, we've worked so hard for this moment!
Hal: (confused, hands on his hips) But uh... Who's ready to get this show started though?
Squeeks: (excited) And not to mention, that we're all ready to shine.
Daisy: Well... (pauses for a moment) It's almost showtime, and we're ready to put on the greatest show!
(Hal, Harmony, Daisy, Squeeks, Billy, Gwendolyn, the two circus dogs, the frog, the purple poodle, the beaver, the 2 birds, Nature Cat, Fred, and Leeza then look to the viewers.)
Squeeks: (to the viewers) How about you, our fellow nature adventurer? Are you ready to see our circus performances?
(Yet another pause. Wait for the viewer to respond with an excited "Yes!".)
Nature Cat: (in agreement with the viewer) I can feel the adrenaline pumping through my veins, and I know we're all going to do our best! (he walks with Gwendolyn offscreen, then cut to Ringmaster Tory in the circus ring)
Part 16: Let The Circus Begin![]
Ringmaster Tory: Now, the circus is about to really begin! First up! (he points to the trapeze equipment, a spotlight shines on the trapeze equipment) We have the most daring cat explorer in the natural world, and the most fearless cat pirate. (cut to Nature Cat and his sister Gwendolyn) Nature Cat and his sister Gwendolyn will show us their skills on the trapeze! Let's all give them a big welcome, folks!
(The animal audience in the bleachers begin to cheer as Nature Cat and Gwendolyn begin to wave to them from the starting trapeze platform. Close-up of Nature Cat and Gwendolyn.)
Nature Cat: (perking up) I have yet another idea for the audience. (whispers to his sister Gwendolyn) It won't happen until we do something specific.
(Gwendolyn nods in agreement, causing the cheering of the audience to stop. The animal audience is now waiting with bated breath. Cut to a row of bleachers, with a few spectators seated as they watch the performances.)
Dog Spectator: Ooh, what are they going to do for us? (takes a bite out of his popcorn snack)
Cat Spectator: (to Dog Spectator) Yeah, they're going to become pretty good trapeze performers with their agility! (she and the Dog Spectator then high five each other)
(Cut to the edge of the left circus ring. On the ground, the beaver, Daisy the Bunny, and Hal the Dog are watching the stopped performance, peeking out from a curtain.)
Daisy: (looking up) What are they doing?
Hal: I can see the wheels turning in their minds, and I'm already on the edge of my seat, wondering what they'll come up with.
Beaver: Will they be able to figure it out and start their act? (to Daisy) To be honest, I can feel the anticipation building up between us and the audience watching. (he and Hal then look up)
Daisy: Well, whatever it is, (thinks) what could it be that they need to do?
(Nature Cat suddenly calls out to Hal offscreen, motioning for Hal to play the circus music.)
Hal: (in agreement with Nature Cat's offscreen call) Okay! Right you are, Nature Cat.
(He then turns on the speakers, which then begin to play the circus music. Then that's when Nature Cat and Gwendolyn started to swing around on the trapezes.)
Ringmaster Tory: (offscreen) And they're off! The flying and static trapeze act is underway, and it's absolutely going to be mesmerizing!
(As the music is playing in the background, Nature Cat and Gwendolyn appear with each other's hats as trapeze items, but then, they decide to swap them mid-swing for their own ones. The whole audience is completely enthralled. And, to add an extra layer of complexity, Nature Cat and Gwendolyn then covered up each other's trapeze ropes with a magical swing from a baton. The animals in the audience all gasp in amazement as Nature Cat now swings through the air with a magic wand, creating a captivating display of glitterly confetti that begin to shoot out like sprinklers.)
Gwendolyn: (swinging through the air while hanging onto the trapeze bar with her pirate sword) Arr! We're circus mates!
(Nature Cat is whooping and laughing as he swings through the air while hanging onto the trapeze bar and catches Gwendolyn on his trapeze bar, when Gwendolyn lets go of her own trapeze bar with her pirate sword, causing the audience to gasp again.)
(Nature Cat and Gwendolyn then land safely on the other side of the trapeze platform and they both finish their act to the sound of loud applause and cheers. Basking in the applause, Gwendolyn took a bow to the audience while Nature Cat struck some poses. When Gwendolyn tries to swing on the trapeze bar again, she fails and suddenly lands on a whoopee cushion on the ground, making her get laughed at by the audience, as well as getting some extra applause. Nature Cat goes down the trapeze equipment's staircase to help Gwendolyn, and the spotlights no longer shine on the two cats at this point, then the scene cuts back to the giant platform in the middle of the circus ring, with Ringmaster Tory still standing on there.)
Ringmaster Tory: Woah, ho ho! What a shiny way to begin our circus! And, I gotta say, they blew me away! (to the animal audience) So, I gotta ask you all this. Who enjoyed the opening act featuring Nature Cat and Gwendolyn's awesome trapeze performance? (The animal audience cheers loudly in response as he listens) And now, for our next performance, we- (he gets distracted by the loud cheers and applause, so he thinks of something to settle them down) I know what to do! Audience of animals, why don't we all clap up high, like this?
(He gets the audience of animals to quietly clap up high. The animal audience then responded with soft claps of their hands, wings, feet, or paws, instead of the usual loud applause.)
Ringmaster Tory: You're getting good at this. (to the viewer) Now, we're going to practice clapping, all the way down low. Follow my lead, everybody!
(He then claps down low. And again, the circus audience of animals begin to follow his instructions, clapping softly with their wings, hands, paws, or feet held low to the ground. Cut to a wide shot of the circus ring.)
Part 17: The Amazing Animal Act & The Other Thrilling Performances[]
Ringmaster Tory: And now! Hal is going to show us his Amazing Animal act. (cut to Hal in an area of the circus ring)
Hal: (waving to the viewer) Hey everybody! It's me, Hal! Let's all march together! (he then blows into a whistle)
(As such, Gwendolyn, Leeza the lizard, the male cardinal, the woodpecker, the frog, the purple poodle, the beaver, who is riding on a unicycle, and Nature Cat, who were hanging out backstage, suddenly hear the whistle. They all then leave the backstage room and they start following Hal in response. Leeza is the first one who is behind Hal the Dog, leading Gwendolyn the orange pirate cat, the male cardinal bird, the woodpecker bird, the green frog, who hops around the purple poodle, the beaver, and Nature Cat with a drumstick as they all march around with Hal in the circus ring.)
Hal: (looks back at his team) I can feel the excitement and joy radiating from the crowd as I'm leading the Amazing Animal act, and I've got a fantastic team with me as I'm parading around! (he laughs with excitement and raises his hands up)
Leeza: (walks next to Hal with her drumstick in hand) I know, right? This is what it's all about - bringing joy and wonder to the audience, (excited expression) and also, we are having an absolute blast doing it!
(Leeza taps the drumstick on the floor as she walks in the circus ring with Hal and the other animals. And then, something magical happens - the animal audience claps along to the sound of the drumstick whenever it hits the floor! The rhythm is infectious, creating a mesmerizing sound that fills up the entire circus tent. While having fun marching around, Hal hears the clapping rhythm, and so do Gwendolyn, Leeza, the male cardinal bird, the woodpecker bird, the green frog, the purple poodle, the beaver, and Nature Cat.)
Nature Cat: I'm grinning from ear to ear, feeling proud of my team and the amazing act we're putting on! (wide-eyed) Everyone's enjoying it! We're on a roll, aren't we guys?
(Hal, Leeza, the male cardinal bird, Gwendolyn, the woodpecker bird, the green frog, the purple poodle, and the beaver all cheer in agreement. The scene then cuts to Daisy in the circus ring, who lifts up a paper plate from the ground with a juggling bean bag and uses the natural materials from her bag to make a jump rope. Daisy places it on the ground, and that's when Harmony the robin, Leeza, Squeeks, and the two circus dogs come out of nowhere and they happily leap over the nature jump rope.)
(Nearby, Hal is juggling three juggling objects in the air while doing a silly dance. The frog does a trick inside of a cyr wheel while upside down. A hula hoop then flies through the air and over to Gwendolyn, who dances gracefully across the ring, catching the hula hoop in her hand. The audience on her left applaud her, so she takes a bow for them.)
(Squeeks bounces on the trampoline (for the 3rd time) and is sent flying high from the rubber into the air. In midair, the beaver catches her on a trapeze bar as they swing to the platform and pose, causing even more applause and cheers from the animal audience.)
Beaver: (as he and Squeeks take their bows) Thank you! Thank you, please, you're too kind.
(On the ground, Harmony, Daisy, Hal, the woodpecker, Gwendolyn, the two circus dogs, the frog, the purple poodle, the male cardinal, and Leeza the female lizard then clear the way for Tory. A spotlight then shines on Tory, as Tory is front and center of the large group. Harmony, the woodpecker, Gwendolyn, the two circus dogs, the frog, Daisy, Hal, the purple poodle, the male cardinal, and Leeza the female lizard then disperse from the circus ring with their equipment and go into the backstage room yet again.)
Ringmaster Tory: (to the animal audience) Well everybody, it's finally here! It's the moment, and I mean, the biggest moment, that everyone in this circus tent has been waiting for after so long. The finale to the circus will start right now! (And plus, Billy and Fred are already in position behind him) Let's hear it for, Billy and Fred!
(Cheers and applause from the animal audience.)
Ringmaster Tory: (gesturing) They're going to be clowning around with a special guest, so let's be very quiet for now, and don't forget to listen closely... (he walks backwards until he is offscreen)
(Cut to the backstage room yet again, where Harmony, Daisy, Hal, the woodpecker, Squeeks, Gwendolyn, the two circus dogs, the frog, the purple poodle, the beaver, the male cardinal, and Leeza the female lizard are watching the performance's surprising twist.)
Squeeks: (excited) I can't wait to see who they will be clowning around with! Oh boy, this is getting me puzzled to know who's gonna be chosen to clown around with Fred and Billy. (she clings to the green frog)
Purple Poodle: (to Leeza) Yes! The moment of truth is here, after a very long wait! (barks)
Hal: (whispering to the beaver) And now, it's time to see what's to expect for the final act - Billy and Fred are up to perform for the audience, and they'll be clowning around with a special guest. (to himself as he watches) I wonder who it could be...
Part 18: The Grand Finale![]
(Cut to Billy and Fred. Billy and Fred wait patiently, until Fred is given a microphone, and he asks the audience one question.)
Fred: (to the animal audience) And now, who is ready to see me and Billy clowning around with a very special guest?
(And again, the large audience of animals follow his instructions by once again doing the quiet clapping to let the clowns know that they are ready.)
Billy: (to the animal audience) Okay! We'll take that as a "yes!" (looking at Fred) Well, then, let's move, Fred!
Fred: (pleading with Billy as they walk over to the area where the special guest is) They'll enjoy this one, I promise!
(Fred and Billy go over to a box that is closed and observe it, seeing it made out of nature materials.)
Billy: Nature material? (curious) This should be interesting.
(Cut to the bleacher where a red fox, MC Ferret, Chandler the Toad, Mama Fox, Sammy the fox, and Lulu Ladybug are seated.)
Chandler the Toad: (to Lulu Ladybug) I just noticed that the box is made out of nature materials, which adds to the intrigue. We're going to have to guess who the special guest is for this performance, shall we?
Lulu Ladybug: It's possibly going to be that yellow cat explorer. It's going to be him.
Sammy the fox: (to his mom Mama Fox) Mom. What could be inside the box? (he gasps and jumps with excitement) Is it the special guest that they've been teasing?
Red Fox Spectator: (agreeing) Oh, ho, ho! The suspense in the circus ring is building up, and I'm already on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what's going to happen next. Fred and Billy seem to be savoring the moment, as they are taking their time to build up the anticipation!
Chandler the Toad: (croaks) I don't want to spoil who it might be, guys. We will just have to see it for ourselves, then.
(They all continue watching, then it goes back to Fred and Billy.)
Billy: (looking around as a spotlight then shines on the mysterious box) I can feel the excitement and anticipation emanating from the audience, and I just know this is going to be a fantastic finale. (whispering to the mysterious box) Or, is it?
(Fred and Billy then look under the mysterious box. It's tightly closed up, and they observe it again with curiosity. Quietly, Fred winds up the box like a jack in the box toy, but Billy suggests shaking it open, until a red feather peeks out of the box. The box's lid soon pops open, and out from the box comes: Nature Cat!)
Nature Cat: (to the viewers) Tally-ho! (laughing)
(He then presses the clown noses on Fred and Billy before running off and the two clowns overhear the laughs of the audience. Then, Harmony, Daisy, the woodpecker, Squeeks, Gwendolyn, the two circus dogs, Hal the orange dog, the frog, the purple poodle, the beaver, the male cardinal, and Leeza the female lizard run onstage yet again to join in the fun with Nature Cat, Fred, and Billy.)
(Throughout the act, funny things are performed, making it an even bigger success than before. The circus performances leave the animal audience really amazed, and after the show has finished, Tory presents Harmony, Fred, Billy, the woodpecker, the two circus dogs, the frog, the purple poodle, the beaver, the male cardinal, and Leeza the female lizard to the animal audience.)
(Billy and Fred take their bows first, followed by the woodpecker, Harmony the robin, the two circus dogs, the frog, the purple poodle, the beaver, the male cardinal, and ending with Leeza's bow, much to the audience's applause.)
Part 19: Congrats For Helping, Squeeks, Hal, Daisy, Nature Cat, and Gwendolyn![]
Ringmaster Tory: (standing next to Gwendolyn, Hal, Squeeks, Nature Cat, and Daisy) And now, let's hear it for our circus's heroes! Squeeks! Hal! Gwendolyn! Daisy! And the one and only explorer of nature, which is NATURE CAT! (he points to Nature Cat)
(On the words "And the one and only explorer of nature, which is NATURE CAT!", Nature Cat is the only one of his group who steps forward. He smiles proudly as he basks in the loud applause one more time, beginning to wave to the animal audience. Then Gwendolyn, Hal, Squeeks, Nature Cat, and Daisy all join hands together, then they take a group bow to the animal audience, who continue to cheer.)
Daisy: (looking around with wide eyes) I'm touched by the gesture, and I can feel the "true" appreciation and admiration from the really large crowd of animals. (she looks at the viewer again) We sure did pull up a great circus, did we?
(Yet another pause. The viewer says that they agree with them.)
Hal: (to the viewers) By the way, we may not have been the ones in the spotlight the entire time, but we played our parts in making the show a success, and it's wonderful to be recognized for our efforts.
(The animals look up to confetti and streamers raining down on them from the ceiling, covering everyone in a colorful and festive mess. The animals in the audience then cheer louder. After a while in the tent, the scene then irises out into the outside of the circus tent, where the rest of the animal audience had already filed out into the night.)
(As the last few animals disperse, Tory waves goodbye to them. He leaves to head inside the tent with Billy and Fred, who go to Gwendolyn, Nature Cat, Squeeks, Daisy, and Hal. Nature Cat, Gwendolyn, Squeeks, Daisy, and Hal prepare to exit the tent, but they're soon stopped in their tracks by Fred.)
Fred: (calling out) Hey! Guys! Wait! (Nature Cat, Squeeks, Gwendolyn, Daisy, and Hal see Fred, causing them to stop)
Nature Cat: (to Fred and Billy) What is it, Billy, Ringmaster Tory, and Fred?
Billy: (to Gwendolyn, Nature Cat, Squeeks, Daisy, and Hal) Well, I'd like to thank you guys yet again for what you guys showed our circus audience. (prideful) You guys really had a knack for giving us "appreciation", the hard way to our circus!
Fred: We just worked together to make the show a success! And right now, it's wonderful to see everyone coming together and appreciating each other's efforts. (he jumps up and down, squealing happily)
Hal: (agreeing with Fred) Even if we had our ups and downs along the way, we overcame it as one, and we each made history happen with the circus.
Billy: You're right! (he sees that the circus train in the distance has been loaded up again, with Harmony, the woodpecker, the two circus dogs, the frog, the purple poodle, the beaver, the male cardinal, and Leeza the female lizard boarding the train)
Squeeks: But let's not mention the fact that being here with you was a wonderful feeling, knowing that our ideas and help made a difference. And not for me to mention this, but also it helped with the success of the show! (she then looks up at Nature Cat)
Nature Cat: That's right Squeeks. (puts one hand behind his back) It's a heartwarming moment, and I can feel the gratitude and friendship emanating from what we do for them, and even nature. (gets out his curiosity list) This is, in fact, going to be placed inside of my Nature Curiosity List, as my way of saying thank you!
(He then writes it into the list, then he rolled it up into a scroll. Cut to Hal, Daisy, Gwendolyn, and Billy.)
Daisy: (curious) What will we get as a sign of gratitude?
Billy: Oh, you'll see!
Part 20: Awards[]
(Cut to Gwendolyn, Squeeks, Hal, Daisy, and Nature Cat, who each receive a circus medal of honor from Fred.)
Fred: I present to you... (proudly) A circus medal of honor, for all 5 of you! (Fred then gives the gang a picture book full of memories of being in their circus show, this experience having broadened their horizons) And plus, a picture book full of pictures from the circus should go with this memory, too! (then he and Tory step back a little, while Billy remains with Squeeks, Hal, Daisy, Nature Cat, and Gwendolyn)
Billy: We sure did put a smile on the biggest animal audience that our circus had expected!
Hal: (thankful) Oh, what a wonderful gesture we're getting in return! (looks at his medal) It's a beautiful symbol of our contributions to the show, and I feel so proud to receive it!
Daisy: (while looking at the pictures in the picture book) But that's not all - Fred also gave us a picture book, which is full of memories from our time in the circus. Keepsakes always make me remember special things in times like these. (looks at Gwendolyn)
Gwendolyn: As we flip through the pages, I'm reminded of all the fun we had in our circus show and the incredible experiences that we learned and shared.
Squeeks: (in agreement) Yeah! This experience has truly broadened our horizons, and I know that we'll always treasure the memories we made together!
Billy: (to Squeeks) The picture book is a lovely keepsake, like what Daisy said, and I know you guys will cherish it for a long time to come! (proudly) You guys deserved this for what you really did for us!
(On the words "like what Daisy said", Daisy blushes a little.)
Gwendolyn, Squeeks, Hal, and Nature Cat (except for Daisy): Thank you Billy!
Billy: (noticing Daisy blushing) Daisy? A-Are you okay?
Daisy: (brought back to reality) Yeah. I was just-
Billy: (knocking it off) Blushing at what I said, huh?
All: (laughing at Billy's joke)
Hal: (holding the closed picture book) It's a bittersweet moment, but now, we're all feeling happy and fulfilled after our time together.
Part 21: Saying Farewells[]
(The whistle on the train then blows in the distance, alerting Tory, Fred, and Billy to the sound.)
The woodpecker, Harmony the robin, the two circus dogs, the frog, the purple poodle, the beaver, the male cardinal, and Leeza: (offscreen) Come on Tory, Fred, and Billy! It's time for us to go!
Billy: (sighing sadly) It's been nice learning new things with you. But for now, the circus has to head to its next destination, and we will have to say our goodbyes. (looks at the packed circus train) And you know what they say. All good things in life start and end, you know?
(This upsets Squeeks, Hal, Nature Cat, Gwendolyn, and Daisy.)
Hal: (sad) Oh, okay. (he perks up) But, maybe in the future, we'll meet again!
(Billy shakes hands with Hal.)
Gwendolyn, Nature Cat, Squeeks, and Daisy: (also perking up) Yeah. We'll meet again someday.
Daisy: In fact, we're already beaming with joy, feeling grateful for the incredible experience we've just had!
Billy: (to Squeeks, Gwendolyn, Hal, Nature Cat, and Daisy) I already said to you guys that we'll meet again soon, which is a lovely sentiment to end on! Until we get to meet again someday on the road. (to Squeeks, Gwendolyn, Hal, Nature Cat, and Daisy) Goodbye!
(He gets on the circus train with Ringmaster Tory the turtle and Fred the lobster, as Squeeks, Gwendolyn, Hal, Nature Cat, and Daisy watch and bid goodbye to him one last time. All of the doors close on the train and the train chugs away from Squeeks, Gwendolyn, Hal, Nature Cat, and Daisy as they look on.)
Gwendolyn: The circus may be leaving, but the friendships and experiences we've shared will stay with us forever.
Nature Cat: (to the viewers) Well kids, that wraps up the “Nature Cat's Big Circus Adventure“ movie. We had a blast with you on board for the ride!
Hal: And I gotta say, we really blew that circus show out of this world!
Squeeks: (to the viewers) We hope you enjoyed watching us perform!
Daisy: That's right! (in agreement) And Fred got to make amends with Billy and Harmony too, even if they didn't work together at first.
(Nature Cat, Squeeks, Gwendolyn, Hal, and Daisy then look to the viewers and smile as they wave goodbye.)
Nature Cat: (to the viewers) Bye!
(The scene fades in to a shade of green as there are pictures from the movie, which are shown during the scrolling credits, as the score suite plays in the background.)
