Namorita Prentiss is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer and artist Bill Everett, the character first appeared in Sub-Mariner #50 (June 1972). Namorita belongs to the subspecies of humans called mutants, who are born with superhuman abilities, and to the species of humanoid aquatic beings named Atlanteans, who are born with supernatural powers. She is the cousin of Namor the Sub-Mariner. She was a prominent member of the New Warriors since their inception. However, some may say she was the cause for her and her teammates to die in the catalyst explosion of the Civil War. She recently returned displaced from time.
