Synopsis[]

One fateful night while having to take out the trash at his dorm room, Billy Hall discovers a seemingly normal young woman named Amanda Frightengale with a not so normal secret - she’s the daughter of the one and only Cthulhu. From making friends to summoning demons to trying not to get sent back to Hell, there’s a lot in store for this Lovecraftian woman.

Characters[]

Main[]

  • Amanda Frightengale (voiced by Melissa Bardin Galsky) - a cheerful, bubbly, and kind-hearted young Lovecraftian and cultist that befriends Billy, using her Lovecraftian nature mostly for good. However, she’s had moments where she can get rather unhinged and go off the deep end. Her favorite thing in the whole world is fluffernutter sandwiches.
    • Stone (voiced by Alfred Molina) - a sarcastic and irritable, yet incredibly wise Shoggoth and Amanda’s pet + conscience who takes the form of a cat in order to blend in with the mortals of the world, and is usually annoyed with her and Billy. However, he does still like to give them advice, as he wants them to succeed later in life.
  • William "Billy" Hall (voiced by Benjamin Diskin) - a somewhat snarky and easily annoyed, yet caring and somewhat social young man who serves as Amanda’s best friend and roommate after discovering her for the first time. He can be a bit overprotective of her and his other friends, but it’s because he just wants the best for them.
  • Aurelie Martinez (voiced by Jamie Marchi) - a somewhat snobby, seductive, and absolutely ruthless queen bee who used to bully Billy in elementary school, but became good friends with him as they enter college together, now being in his friend group. If you dare to hurt her friends, she will completely roast you to a pulp. She eventually develops a crush on Amanda as the series progresses, too.
  • Samantha Chen (voiced by Kelly Hu) - a smart, clever, wise, and incredibly nerdy young Asian-American woman who’s been Aurelie’s best friend since childhood and the top student in almost all of her classes. She has often been the target for flirting, but she never minds it as she’s been looking for love ever since high school. Ask her about anything and she’ll most likely talk about it for hours.

Supporting[]

  • Cthulhu (voiced by Greg Baldwin) - a terrifying Lovecraftian God who is Amanda's father as he surprisingly friendly and caring of his daughter.
  • Natalia Frightengale (voiced by Mindy Sterling) - Amanda's mother who is a devoted priestess to Lovecraftian Gods as she abandoned her in order to spend most of her time worshipping the Gods, believing they will wipe the world and rebirth it again.
  • Lena Hall (voiced by Kristen Wiig) - Billy’s somewhat childish, yet well-meaning and imaginative mother who is incredibly loving of her son and would be willing to do anything for her - especially since it’s what her deceased husband would have wanted. She also loves to work out in her spare time, especially with her legs.

Antagonists[]

  • Nyatherolep (voiced by Tony Todd) - Cthulhu's old rival who is another Lovecraftian God as he learns of Amanda and makes it his goal to make her life as miserable as he can.
