My Family (Atashin'chi English Dub)

My Family is a English dub of Atashin'chi that ran from 2004 to 2011. The first 52 half-hour episodes were dubbed into English by Vitello Productions from 2004 to 2005, when TV Asahi and Lacey Entertainment attempted to market a series suitable for families worldwide after work on their own Shin Chan English dub was completed. The Vitello dub aired on YTV in Canada, Nickelodeon in the UK, RTE2 in Ireland, Nine Network in Australia, TV2 in New Zealand and Disney Channel in Southeast Asia. In 2007, the English dub was revived when Funimation acquired the rights. The dub ran on Funimation until 2011, when the final episodes of the series in it's English-dubbed form was released on both the platform and Hulu. Funimation later dubbed Shin Atashin'chi into English in Summer 2016 as Welcome Back to My Family after the show ended it's original run in April 2016. The show along with Shin Atashin'chi both remained on Funimation until 2020, when Shin-Ei Animation took back the rights to both shows (the same year Funimation also lost the rights to Shin-chan, resulting in their own English dub of the show being removed from said platform). The show has gained a cult following in North America thanks to the English dub where it became one of Funimation's hit shows.
