Murders & Mysteries is an upcoming neo-noir mystery crime thriller anthology film directed by James Kent and Gerard McMurray, written by Kelly Marcel,Tana French, Simon Beaufoy and Gillian Flynn. It is loosely based on French's Dublin Murder Squad novel series, this film is American-British-French-Canadian co-production, It will released through Warner Bros. Pictures Worldwide and Studiocanal UK in the United Kingdom.

Development

WB, MGM and Studiocanal UK acquired equal rights Tana French's Dublin Murder Squad novels and will be adapted into an anthology films, Kelly Marcel, French herself, Simon Beaufoy and Gillian Flynn will each a different segments each based on French's novels In the Woods, The Likeness, Faithful Place, Broken Harbour, The Secret Place, The Trespasser and The Witch Elm James Kent and Gerard McMurray both handpicked by MGM to direct the film. Gaumont Film Co. and StudioCanal in France signed on to co-produce the project, Heyday Films' David Heyman have joined up with Working Title Films marking Heyday's first colladeration with Working Title Films. Hoyte van Hoytema and Rob Hardy will be directors of photography. Two Canadian studios will also be involved eOne Films in Toronto and Bron Creative in Vancouver Pete Beaudreau, Lee Smith and Lance Pereira are film editors.

Music

British composer Henry Jackman and French Alexandre Desplat were personally handpicked by WB to score the film with Hans Zimmer as record producer, scoring will be held at his Remote Control Productions.

Filming

The film will be shot in three locations: Neuilly-sur-Seine, France and Westminster, London, England and Calgary, Canada. Some shots will be held at Elstree Studios.
