Miyamoto Usagi: Samurai Rabbit is an animated TV-series based on the Usagi Yojimbo franchise.
Story[]
The series is set on Earth in a parallell reality, where anthropomorphic animals who've evolved dominate the planet. The stories take place in Japan, during the Edo period.
The stories take place in the same continity as the 1987–1996 animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV-series, but is much darker, and as mentioned it is set in a different location, era and reality. However, it is set after Miyamoto Usagi has visited the turtles during season 3, and the Ninja Turtles sometimes visit him when using Donatello's portal.
