Michael "Mike" Shires (January 5, 1910–December 15, 2010), was an American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, and animator. One of the most famous and well-known motion picture producers in the world, Shires is the co-founder with his brother Roy O. Shires of Michael Shires Pictures.

He is known for producing his theatrical animated comedy short film series Shiresland, which is known for introducing such famous cartoon animal characters as Matthew & Michelle Mouse, Greedy Cat, Finnia Crow & Finnigan Fox, Edward P. Bear, Oscar the Ugly Rabbit, Clammy and George Mouse and some television-exclusive such as Dr. Pepsi, Silly the Chef and The Newsman, as well as producing animated, live-action and live-action/animated films.
