Hello Elric, you don't know me and I don't know you, but I'd like to talk to you about something
so you say you'd like to be a voice actor, particularly working in anime, specifically Funimation. Well with the way things are going with the #KicVic vs. #IStandWithVic fiasco, I doubt that's likely seeing as the voice actors are all at each others throats. And another thing you seem to have a bit of an ego problem, the way I see it, you want to be somebody in the industry but you think that you should be the only somebody.
It doesn't help that almost all your voicework sounds like you're bored out of your mind, you have the passion, but the actual emotion isn't there at all
And just because you follow all these VAs, doesn't mean they necessarily know who you are, lying to get attention and clout is a scummy thing to do.
If I were to give you some constructive criticism, get a better mic and try to improve your range (how is your range BTW?) And most importantly act like you care about what you're doing, it sounds like you're not having fun.
But hey I'm just some random guy on the Internet, you're not gonna listen to what I have to say anyway.
I am mainly a deep voiced voice actor, who backs up Amanda Winn-Lee, Monica Rial and Jamie Marchi and therefore against Vic. I used to have an ego problem from 2017 to January of 2019 when I announced my gigs before they were out, publicly. But now, I don't post my gigs before they are out on Social Media anymore. I had help around the way from the Voice Acting Club members and with that, Kira Buckland, who founded the Voice Acting Club, I post the projects and my roles when they are out now. I am currently working with a RODE NT1-A microphone and Focusrite Scarlett Solo that I ordered a few days before 2019. I desire to be somebody in the industry.
I am usually at a medium to low vocal range. Because sometimes, I would alternate my vocal pitch. But not all the time. I given you, my opinion about Vic Mignogna and that, I actually supported the decision that Rooster Teeth and Funimation did to fire Vic Mignogna. I'm working on improving my range on my voice, while with a RODE microphone but it was hard for me. But I sound like the stern/strict characters that are in anime and video games: Yu Jin from Dynasty Warriors and Kyosuke Munakata from Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School. But sometimes I sound like Qrow or even Jia Xu, due to my voice acting sometimes, Oblivious to know who I care about when I was doing in the first place in projects that I voice in for. Therefore, I lack emotion like the voice actors in VOXX Studios that Koei hired for Dynasty Warriors 9. But I am also a theater actor too. Reason why I went to theater, it is so then I can do something about emotion.
But why though? Everyone else hates the other VAs now
We don't know if Vic actually did what he did, so you're on the KicVic side? There just as toxic as the StandWithVic side (it's less "I stand with Vic" and more "I Stan Vic" stans and rabid fanboys are the worst kind of fans) Vic is gonna sue the people that wronged him and Funi are gonna need to clean house.
Advice: You should do voice acting because you love it, not to get popular, 'cause then it means you're trying to get attention, when nobody really knows you,'cause if you don't know voice acting doesn't pay much, 'specially for anime.
On a happier more positive note, what are your favorite roles from the VAs ya mentioned? Which actors have you met? I know you know Kaggy (Alejandro)
I am not trying act like a douchebag but... I am following a piece of advice that I got from Kira Buckland and I am keeping myself from promoting my own voice over work on Social Media till the gigs are out publicly.
