The film revolves around Max, who decides to leave home with his friends due to frustration with Ruby's commands. After noticing that Max has ran away, Ruby realizes the impact of her behavior and, with the help of her family and friends, tries to bring Max back home to reconcile. Meanwhile, Max and his friends become even more further away from home and set off on a dangerous journey to a new location called Bunny City. This film serves as the series finale for Max & Ruby.
The film was exclusively released on June 7, 2023 on Paramount+.

Following the conclusion of the seventh season of Max & Ruby, a feature film based on the show had entered development. Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures each shared that this film was intended to serve as a finale for the series. Fast forward to January 2, 2023, a teaser trailer was released, a second trailer was released on February 28, and a third one was released on May 27.
