Matthew Imre Splavec (né Barsi, born December 7, 1936) is a Hungarian former singer, songwriter, composer, actor, and instrumentalist. He is the father of Monica, Natalie, Nolan, AJ, Meg, Adam, and Timothy. He is famous for writing and preforming his songs such as Rock Around the Clock (1955), Run, Rudolph, Run (1958), Move It (1959), So Long, Caroline (1962), You're All I Want For Christmas (1962), Beyond the Sea (1964), Santa Claus Is Coming to Town (1964), I Fought the Law (1965), Home Sweet Caroline (1967), and Frosty the Snowman (1969).
