Marvel x Sonic the Hedgehog: Rise of the New Warriors is a comic book limited series published by Marvel Comics. It serves as a prequel for the Disney+/Paramount+ crossover miniseries Marvel x Sonic the Hedgehog.
Premise
Taking place one year before the events of Marvel x Sonic the Hedgehog, the miniseries follows the origins of Peter Parker and his friends and teammates, the New Warriors, as well as the early days of Sonic and his old and new friends on their Earth.

| “Spider-Man”: As the Avengers are reported to be stopping Ultron from attacking Sokovia, Peter Parker is attending a science field trip with his classmates from Midtown High in an Oscorp science facility, until a genetically modified spider bites him. Rushed to hospital, Peter recovers to discover that he received superhuman abilities. He initially refuses to use his new powers until a teacher is injured by a robber seeking to kill Peter's rival Flash Thompson. Peter immobilizes the robber, gaining his classmates' respect, but decides to drop out of school, knowing he just used his powers in public. Peter also calls out Flash for claiming to be his "best friend" for the sake of popularity. He is eventually met with the Fantastic Four (consisting of Susan "Sue" Storm, Johnny Storm, Ben Grimm and their leader Reed Richards), who offer him a place in a new school the Avengers and their allies have recently opened. Accepting enrollment, Peter begins training to become a hero, dubbing himself Spider-Man. During his first day of heroics, Peter discovers a strange reality-warping gemstone which was powering up one of Ultron's units. Knowing that some other young metahumans are about to use their families and old homes, Peter uses the gem to create a floating island known as Angel’s Stone, where the Fantastic Four help establish a sanctuary for others like him.
“Super Sonic Racing”: As he races across the forest with Miles “Tails” Prower and Knuckles the Echidna, Sonic the Hedgehog recalls his early days on his Earth; ranging from when he first defeated Doctor Ivo Robotnik in the town of Green Hills[1], when he along with Tails and Knuckles retrieved the Master Emerald from Robotnik[2], and more recently when he redeemed Shadow the Hedgehog, and convinced him to help stop Robotnik's grandfather Professor Gerald from destroying the world with the Eclipse Cannon[3]. Sonic also recalls Robotnik having once mentioned the Multiverse, and asking himself if it is real, or not. A close-up reveals a mysterious hooded figure watching Sonic and his friends from a distance. | ||||

| “Sea Tiger”: Moments after Peter was bitten by the radioactive spider and rushed to a hospital, Michelle "MJ" Jones attempts to visit him, but is forbidden from doing do by her stepfather Morris Bench, who has been constantly trying but failing to hook her up with Flash, who is the son of his boss Harrison. However, after her mother is reported murdered by a member of the Kingpin's mob, MJ becomes stressed, triggering her mutant genes, which transform her into a humanoid tiger with water abilities, and runs away from Bench's homestead. She initially wants to hide until she learns that Harrison is a mob boss and rival of the Kingpin, and confronts him, exposing him to the public. As Thompson and his enforcers (including Bench) are arrested, MJ considers casting herself in exile now that everyone knows she is a mutant, until Peter meets with her, revealing that the New York citizens view MJ (whom some call "Sea Tiger") as a heroine for the good she did. With her spirit lifted, MJ decides to enroll at Avengers Academy, where she is mentored by T'Challa of Wakanda. She and Peter also start a romantic relationship, and move to Angel's Stone together.
“My Destiny”: In a flashback, a young Sonic ran for fun around his island, drawing the attention of pink hedgehog Amy Rose, who then secretly watched as Sonic's caretaker Longclaw the Owl opened a portal to Earth. In present day, Amy (having been inspired by Sonic into traveling to other worlds) decides to meet Sonic, whom she aids in defeating a horde of robotic hedgehogs[4] ambushing him. The two spend their time together, with Amy revealing she is a loner due to people not believing her talent with fortune cards, and viewing her predictions as fraudulent. Sympathizing with Amy, Sonic (who shares with her tales of when he himself, Tails and Knuckles also faced their forms of loneliness before) introduces her to the Wachowskis, who allow Amy to spend a night with them. Next day, Maddie tailors Amy a red dress which she accepts. | ||||

| “The Other Spiders”: Taking place during the first issue, Miles Morales, Cindy Moon, Martha “Mattie” Franklin, and Anya Corazon notice Peter being bitten by the radioactive spider before others prototypes which broke out bite them as well. Next day, Miles, Cindy, Mattie and Anya learn they also have spider abilities much like Peter, in addition to a few unique abilities due to their spiders' modifications[5]. The four, however, decide to keep their talents in secret after hearing the Oscorp facility was quarantined due to the lab spiders' breakout. Overhearing about Peter's and MJ's recent conditions and heroic actions, the four teens question if they should continue at Midtown High, with Mattie revealing to them about her estranged relationship with her maternal aunt Marla's husband J. Jonah Jameson following the Ultron incident. Eventually hearing about Jameson's son John / Hyperion attacking their neighborhood, they rush to fight and defeat him. Jameson intervenes, inadvertently allowing Hyperion to kill Miles's father (and Cindy's and Anya's caretaker) Joseph Davis along with Marla before escaping, leading Mattie to disown Jameson as her uncle, as she and her friends leave devastated. As Jameson faces more negativity from the public opinion, Miles, Mattie, Cindy and Anya mourn their loved ones before being consoled by Peter and MJ, and offered new schoolarship at Avengers Academy, which they accept in Joseph's and Marla's memory.
“Diamonds in the Sky”: While training with Amy at the forest, Sonic discovers a mysterious gemstone which crash-landed on Earth. Sonic begins mastering the gem's capabilities, including to rebuild broken and destroyed items, while being unsure of how powerful it can truly be. Just then, Sonic overhears news that Earth is becoming unstable due to the damage done to the Moon by the Eclipse Cannon. Sonic warps himself into the Moon with one of his Portal Rings, powers up the gem with his speed energy, and inserts it in the center of the Moon, restoring it, and re-stabilizing Earth. Sonic's actions are broadcast on live television, and he is cheered on as a public hero. Later on, Sonic is meet with G.U.N. director Rockwell, who praises him for his success while apologizing for their early conflict since the death of Commander Walters, for which she offers him and his friends G.U.N.'s support to make amends, which Sonic accepts, as he gets a perception of something coming to his world. | 4 | “Hulks and Wiccans”/“I Am All of Me” | |||
| “Hulks and Wiccans”: The Avengers continue recruiting and training new cadets for Avengers Academy, including young genius Amadeus Cho (who can transform into his own version of the Hulk via Gamma radiation gauntlets) and wiccan Nico Minoru, with both under the mentorship of Dr. Bruce Banner and Dr. Stephen Strange respectively. Just then, Nico envisions another young wiccan and two young Hulks hiding from both Ultron and Hydra, and she and Amadeus settle to rescue them. Nico encounters the wiccan, Billy Kaplan (who came from an alternate future where Ultron won, and is traveling in time to prevent his victory from happening), while Amadeus finds Teddy Altman, the son of a Skrull scout and a Renegade Kree soldier, and Rick Jones, a teenager who was experimented on with Gamma radiation by Hydra’s newly recruited scientist Dr. Samuel Sterns. Nico and Amadeus secure the three before being ambushed by Sterns (who earned a superhuman intellect from his own exposure to Gamma radiation[6] and technopathy from machinery) in his experimental mech suit, only for the five to defeat him, and secure the item which would ensure Ultron's victory: a cradle containing a Vibranium body powered by the Mind Infinity Stone, which Nico warps into Wakanda. The alternate future is undone, but Billy chooses to stay in the present since he cannot return, as he, Teddy and Rick enroll at Avengers Academy. Meanwhile, the Wakandans experiment on the cradle, and transfer Vision’s matrix into the Vibranium body.
“I Am All of Me”: Shadow the Hedgehog has survived the explosion of the Eclipse Cannon, but has lost most of his memories of the incident. During which, he is met with Rouge the Bat, a treasure hunter and thief who has been hunting the Chaos Emeralds after they were scattered across the world following Shadow's team up with Sonic to stop the Eclipse Cannon. Coming in contact with two of the Emeralds which Rouge found, Shadow begins to regain some of his lost memories, and agrees to help find the other five. As they progress, Rouge also gets to learn more about Shadow's past, including when he was experimented on by G.U.N. scientists (including Professor Gerald) following his arrival on Earth, and when he bonded with the Professor's granddaughter Maria Robotnik, until she was killed in a crossfire. Rouge sympathizes with Shadow, as she herself experienced a similar loss when she was younger: on which Rouge was the sole survivor of an expedition crew in an island of monsters which was believed to be the location of a fabled treasure. Eventually, Shadow and Rouge find the last Emerald, which fuses with the other six into the Master Emerald. The two part ways on good terms with each other, with Shadow deciding to explore the world to make amends for his past, while Rouge decides to sign up with G.U.N. as a special agent, before Rockwell has her men send the Master Emerald back to Team Sonic. | ||||
| 5 | “The Next Hawkeye”/“The Last of the Echidnas” | |||
| “The Next Hawkeye”: In a flashback, a young Kate Bishop lost her parents during the Chitauri invasion of New York, and watched as Clint Barton fought alongside the Avengers against the Chitauri, saving Kate’s life. Inspired by him, Kate spent her following years training in archery, fencing, gymnastics and martial arts, winning many trophies and medals. In the present, Kate uses her archery skills to take down a group of thieves working for the Kingpin, during which she rescues a Golden Retriever she names Lucky. Her actions draw Barton’s attention, and he meets her in her caretaker's homestead. Impressed by her abilities, Barton begins training Kate, teaching her some of his moves, while considering recruiting her to Avengers Academy, which she requests time to think about it. As she fits Lucky with a high-tech device to replace his missing eye[7], Kate overhears Wilson Fisk, who is running for mayor of New York, announce his plan to end vigilantism in the city. Recognizing his voice, Kate learns that Fisk is the Kingpin, and plans to expose him. Arriving in the Kingpin mob’s hideout, Kate confronts Fisk, who then reveals his plan to take control of New York's underworld through iron fist following Thompson’s arrest, indirectly revealing his identity of Kingpin to the public through a camera hidden in Lucky’s bionic eye. Kate incapacitates Fisk, who is then sent to prison. Though pleased with the outcome, Kate determines that she cannot return to her caretaker’s home, and decides to enroll at Avengers Academy, with Lucky as her personal companion.
“The Last of the Echidnas”: After receiving the Master Emerald from G.U.N., Knuckles decides that the Emerald needs a more private place to stay safe. He decides to hide it in a fortress built in the hill where he trains every morning. Using the Emerald’s energy to build the fortress, Knuckles ends up envisioning the spirit of Tikal, the daughter of Chief Pachacamac. After sharing tales with her about his earlier experiences on Earth, including working with Sonic to stop Robotnik from harnessing the Master Emerald's power and training Wade Whipple in the ways of the Echidna Tribe[8], Knuckles overhears from Tikal that while he is the last of his tribe, he is not the last of his kind, revealing there are still other Echidnas from his world. Through the Master Emerald, he learns of a young female named Lyla, who is hiding on Earth, and settles to find her. He encounters Lyla (who resembles Tikal in appearance, voice and innocence), and saves her from a group of poachers attempting to kill her. Lyla is grateful for his help, despite revealing that she is no warrior. A sympathetic Knuckles decides to introduce Lyla to his friends, who might help her find her place and purpose on Earth. | ||||
| 6 | “Ironheart”/“Secret Agent Bat” | |||
| “Ironheart”: One month before Peter was bitten by the radioactive spider, Riri Williams was expelled from Midtown High after being unfairly accused by teacher Samuel Roark of selling weapons to other students, while a mysterious drone observed everything, and identified Roark as a wanted fugitive in disguise. In present, Riri currently works as an intern for Stark Industries while being supervised by James Rhodes and supported by Peter, and has been fighting the mysterious “Hood” in her newly developed "Ironheart" armor which is equipped with the "Fist of Memnon"[9] provided by the Wakandans, as she constantly refuses to help Flash regain his classmates’ trust following his father's arrest, since she resents him for supporting Roark's lies. One night, she is met with the drone, which she initially believes is an Ultron unit, until it reveals itself as a vessel for N.A.T.A.L.I.E., an A.I. designed after her deceased friend Natalie Washington. Seeing the footage collected by N.A.T.A.L.I.E. (which reveals that Roark is the Hood), Riri decides to hunt after Roark, who announces his plan to “enhance students” with armor suits of his design to make them equal to the Avengers Academy students. Riri confronts Roark, who then converts the “enhanced students” into demonic creatures. She reverts them to normal by destroying Roark's hooded cloak (the source of his powers), exposing his true self as Justin Hammer, further damaging Flash's reputation. As Hammer is arrested, Riri is offered her place back in Midtown High, but she refuses, and instead enrolls at Avengers Academy, as offered by Peter and Rhodes earlier. Meanwhile, an incarcerated Hammer envisions the demon Mephisto (who granted him the cloak in exchange for his soul) psychically torturing him for failing to honor his deal.
“Secret Agent Bat”: After showcasing her talents with stealth, espionage and martial arts to G.U.N., Rouge is thrust on a mission with director Rockwell, which is to uncover the secrets of a mining field where it was once Professor Gerald's research facility before Shadow's arrival on Earth. Arriving there, Rouge and Rockwell overcome a series of traps and hazards in the cave, eventually uncovering treasures and a file for a project Gerald was working on: the E-100 Series, a series of artificially-intelligent robots meant to be his lieutenants, until Gerald abandoned them after taking interest in biological weapons. Just then, Rouge and Rockwell are ambushed by a group of thieves who were sent by their employer to collect Gerald's treasures, as one of them inadvertently activates ZERO, who ends up attacking both sides. With unexpected help from Gamma, Rouge and Rockwell destroy ZERO, and defeat the thieves, who are taken to custody. As the remaining E-100 units are taken by G.U.N. to be examined, Rouge and Rockwell share good compliments with each other before thanking Gamma, who departs to make his own decisions, as Rouge and Rockwell suspect that ZERO was being controlled by a much deadlier and more malevolent force. A close-up shows ZERO's optics igniting red, and a silhouetted figure in his face's reflection. | ||||
| 7 | “Nova”/“A Tale of Two Buddies” | |||
| “Nova”: A year ago, the Nova Corps sought to create the perfect soldier by requesting help from King Eitri of Nidavellir and Thor in forging a helmet which would grant the wearer cosmic powers. Despite the interference of a Kree armada seeking to conquer Nidavellir, Thor completed the creation of the helmet by casting an enchantment: to allow the mortal who is deemed worthy to wear the helmet, before casting it on Earth. In the present day, Sam Alexander (who has been seeking to learn his father's identity after the death of his mother) struggles to live up to the expectations of his foster parents, who disapprove of his decision to help “strangers”. One day, he saves a woman and her children from a mugger, inadvertently triggering the Nova Corps helmet when it deems him worthy, and chooses him as its wearer. Sam spends the day practicing his abilities, and using them to fight crime, drawing the attention of the Nova Corps, who take him to Xandar. There, he learns that his father, Jesse, was a Corpsman who died fighting a Kree armada led by Ronan. Just then, Sam is alerted that Ronan is leading an attack on Earth for two Infinity Stones which are located there, and arrives in time to confront and defeat him, removing the Power Stone from his warhammer, and forcing Ronan's fleet to retreat. Confronted by Thor, Carol Danvers and the Guardians of the Galaxy, Ronan attempts to contact the Kree High Council, only for them to exile him for his defiance of the peace treaty with Xandar. As Ronan is imprisoned, Sam is congratulated for his efforts, and offered a scholarship at the Avengers Academy, which the Guardians also join as teachers.
“A Tale of Two Buddies”: Since Sonic used the Chaos-powered gemstone to restore Earth's Moon, several portal rings have been opening, allowing inhabitants from Sonic's planet to enter Earth. Two of these lucky few include best friends Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel. Inspired by the stories they heard about Sonic, the two explore Green Hills the same way Sonic did before, while getting to know more about Earth's culture. During their trip, Mighty and Ray also undertake heroic activities, from helping a little girl get her cat off a tree to stopping robberies. Among these activities, they encounter young student Bonnie, who begs them to save her mother from a group of bandits in San Francisco who were clients of Robotnik. Mighty fights off and overcomes the bandits while Ray frees Bonnie's mother, earning heroic recognition, as Sonic and his friends arrive to praise their good work, and invite Mighty and Ray to join their team. | ||||

| “The Patriots”: As Peter stops a crew of robbers from stealing Pym tech, his best friend Ned Leeds comes in possession of a self-sustaining Pym Particle vial which he uses for his home experiments, eventually crafting his own version of the Ant-Man suit with a replica of the Stark Industries Fabricator which Peter provided. Meanwhile, Harley Keener and Joaquin Torres are expelled from Custer's Grove High School and sentenced to attend military school after being incriminated by vice-principal Darren Cross of blowing up the school's science lab with their latest scientific project. Spying on everything, Ned knows Harley and Joaquin are not responsible for the incident, and decides to expose Cross and clear the boys’ names out of their accusations. Ned further spies on Cross, who is revealed to be selling technology to Hydra scientist Arnim Zola in exchange for resources to take over Pym Industries. Seeing Ned's gathered evidences, Colonel Rhodes approaches Harley and Joaquin, and provides them with a Stark Fabricator which they use to craft their versions of the Iron Patriot armor and Sam Wilson's Falcon armor respectively, and join Ned in confronting Zola, who transfers his mind and consciousness into the body of Cross's newly built android M.O.D.O.K.. The trio defeat Zola, leaving his consciousness permanently trapped in the damaged android body, and forcing him to retreat. As Cross is arrested, Harley and Joaquin are cleared out of their accusations, and offered to be re-enrolled at Custer's Grove High. Having lost their faith in their principal however, Harley and Joaquin decline, and (along with Ned) they instead enroll at Avengers Academy as suggested by Peter, with Ned, Harley and Joaquin training under Scott Lang, Rhodes and Wilson respectively.
“Men of Motion”: G.U.N. Agent Randall investigates a breakout in Prison Island, and discovers that two agents who have gone rogue are responsible. Noticing that the rogues wield weapons powered by Chaos energy, Randall decides to recruit his sister-in-law Maddie’s husband sheriff Tom Wachowski and his co-worker Wade for help, given their experiences with Sonic and Knuckles. Checking on the devices, Wade determines that the rogues’ employer known as the Buyer, who was presumed vanquished after Knuckles’s battle with him in Reno[10], is still alive, and still at large. Intercepting a rogue, Tom, Wade and Randall find out that the Buyer (who is now dependent of his mech to move following his defeat) is after the gemstones which Sonic used to fix the Moon, and plans to use it to ascend to Robotnik’s level, and become the “Apex Kingpin”. After infiltrating the Buyer’s hideout, Tom, Wade and Randall hijack and take over some of the Buyer’s experimental mech suits, and confront him. Using their skills combined with their mechs, Tom, Wade and Randall defeat the Buyer, and incapacitate his armor. As the Buyer is incarcerated in Prison Island along with his henchmen, Tom, Wade, and Randall earn director Rockwell’s congratulations, and rejoice with a bowling match, although Tom remains uncertain if Robotnik is gone for good. | ||||
| 9 | “Dazzler”/“A Star is Born” | |||
| “Dazzler”: Midtown High schooler Gwen Stacy aspires to be a singer and actress like her late mothers, while also struggling to live up to the expectations of her teachers and foster father Raymond Warren, as all of them disapprove of her interests, and want her to support their attempt to restore Flash’s reputation, which she protests. Supported by Peter’s aunt May Parker, Gwen eventually attempts to perform her first recorded song at the F.E.A.S.T. stage, but is interrupted by Warren and principal Sadie Deever, who attempt to force her out of the stage. The emotionally stressed Gwen eventually manifests her mutant ability to convert sound into light matter, with which she partially blinds Warren and Deever before fleeing in shock. After putting a restraining order against Warren and Deever, May contacts Gwen’s closeted girlfriend Anya, who finds her in Coney Island and comforts her. After practicing her abilities with help from Wanda Maximoff and Salem witch Agatha Harkness, and being provided by Anya a nanosuit which can manipulate sound, Gwen overhears news from Betty Brant that Flash is being thrust into becoming “Midtown High’s superhero” called Sentinel in a power suit provided by Warren and his unknown benefactor, with Anya soon discovering that the benefactor is Dr. Sterns from Hydra, who takes remote control of Flash’s Sentinel suit, and uses him to attack Stark Expo, wreaking havoc in the streets. Gwen makes it there in time to stop and disable the Sentinel suit, with Flash being later held accountable for the disaster, and facing negative public opinion. Warren attempts to defend him, only for Anya to expose him for negotiating with Sterns, resulting in his arrest. As Gwen (called by citizens “Dazzler”) becomes a beloved figure in her community, she decides to drop out of Midtown High, and enroll at Avengers Academy, while also earning a new home in Angel’s Stone.
“A Star is Born”: Living alongside Amy with the Wackowskis’ neighbor Helen Argo, and having decided to become an actress and singer on Earth, Lyla demonstrates her talents at Green Hills’s local theatre by performing a number of Mamma Mia, with her performance being positively reviewed. Meanwhile, Vector the Crocodile has recently opened the Chaotix Detective Agency alongside Espio the Chameleon and Knuckles, as they also settle to pursue the criminal jerboa Fang the Sniper and his henchmen Bean the Dynamite and Bark the Polar Bear, who are searching for the Muse’s Echo, a gem powered by Chaos energy on Earth. Meanwhile, Lyla is preparing for another role before receiving a necklace which Helen found in a lake, soon learning it is the Muse’s Echo, which she believed was a myth. Upon envisioning that Fang and his henchmen are searching for the necklace, Amy contacts Knuckles, and alerts him and the Chaotix team about it. While practicing for an opera number, Lyla is confronted by Fang, Bean and Bark, who want the Muse’s Echo. The three are soon ambushed by Knuckles, Espio and Vector, and a fight ensues. Having been told that her moment of courage would come, Lyla uses the necklace’s magic to help defeat Fang and his henchmen, who surrender. As Fang, Bean and Bark are imprisoned by G.U.N., Kncukles, Espio and Vector voice their good compliments with Lyla over her performance, as she is accepted to Sonic’s team. The next day, Lyla performs on stage, while Knuckles and Vector discuss training more new members for the Chaotix crew. | ||||

| “Warlock”: In a flashback, the Guardians of the Galaxy fought against an Abilisk to protect the Sovereign race in exchange of liberating Nebula, Gamora's surrogate sister, who was imprisoned for attempting to steal the Anulax batteries. However, the Sovereign began pursuing the Guardians when Ayesha and her loyalists were ordered by their mysterious master to capture Rocket. In the present, the Sovereign have used the last of their batteries to create their warrior Adam Warlock, whom they send to directly attack the Guardians on Earth. Adam first ambushes Quill and Gamora, who are at the Angel's Stone attending Gwen's concern. Her songs soon cause Adam to relent, as the Vision gives him therapy, soon learning that the Sovereign were created by Rocket's creator, the High Evolutionary, the leader of the organization Orgocorp who wants to “perfect other life forms” into his liking, and deprive them of their freewill. Convinced by Peter and Gwen to step out of his creators’ shadow, Adam agrees to help take down the High Evolutionary by removing the kill switch systems implanted into himself and Rocket. Assembling a crew of Ravagers commanded by Kraglin and Nova Corps commanded by Rhomann Dey, Adam guides the Guardians to Orgocorp, and a battle ensues. As others free the prisoners and subjects, Rocket and Adam confront the High Evolutionary himself, defeating him, as the Guardians, Ravagers and Nova Corps destroy his spaceship the Arête. As the High Evolutionary is imprisoned by the Nova Corps, Ayesha and the Sovereign make peace with the Guardians, as Adam decides to live in Angel's Stone, where he is also enrolled at Avengers Academy.
“Broken Stone”: Agent Stone continues his usual routine as owner of the Mean Bean Coffee Café while still mourning Robotnik's apparent death. He is met with Tails and Wade, with whom he shares his history with Robotnik, whom Stone viewed as his best friend despite having been often mistreated by him. Taking pity of Stone, Tails and Wade decide to give him company to help him cope, including spending time with him on the way he wished he and Robotnik did had he not been too attached to his grandfather Professor Gerald. With his spirit lifted, Stone comes to terms with Robotnik's demise, and moves on grateful to Tails and Wade. The two however are still unsure if Robotnik is really gone for good after the destruction of the Eclipse Cannon. | “Ms. Marvel”: Kamala Khan has been living with Peter and his aunt May since she lost her family to the Hammer Industries drones under Ultron's control. Inspired by the stories she heard from May to help her cope, Kamala has also been writing online fanfiction about her superhero idols, including Danvers. One day, Kamala visits her late parents’ former home, and discovers a chest of old relics, including a bangle which once belonged to her late grandmother, and she puts it on. The bangle manifests a mystical energy which awakens Kamala's mutant ability to create light energy constructs, and is detected by Danvers and Monica Rambeau. Seeing Kamala practice her abilities, Danvers and Rambeau take her in as their protegee, while revealing that the bangle is one of the Quantum Bands, ancient relics created by the Djinns before they were wiped out by the Kree Accusers, revealing that Kamala is half-Djinn. After earning a new suit, Kamala aids Danvers and Rambeau in fighting back against a horde of Sakaarians led by Kree Accuser Dar-Benn, who wears the second Quantum Band, and plans to obtain Kamala's to become unstoppable. While the Sakaarians are later overwhelmed and devoured by Danvers's pet Flerken Goose and her offsprings, Kamala duels with Dar-Benn and defeats her, taking her Band, and sending it somewhere else beyond everyone's reach to someone who is deemed worthy. As Dar-Benn is imprisoned by the Nova Corps, Kamala (dubbed by media as Ms. Marvel) is hailed as a heroine, as she continues training under Danvers and Rambeau with May's approval. She also adopts one of Goose's offspring, whom she names Jasmine.
“This Is Me”: Revisiting his homeworld, Tails recalls his past: when he was being admired by some foxes, including Flora, from his former village, until they were forced by their leader Sentinel to shun him, to the point he cast himself to exile. Back in the present, he meets young opposite twin foxes who were recently banned from the fox village by Sentinel: Coal, a red fox, and Crystal, a polar fox, who can control fire and ice respectively. They also meet Stella, a young fox/wolf hybrid who can create light matter constructs, and recently lost her parents to a clan of wolf bandits who have been hunting Sentinel since he faked his “heroic deeds” to be named leader of the village. Infiltrating the fox village, Tails, Coal, Crystal and Stella spy on Sentinel, who has been staging his fights against the bandit wolves through illusion projected with the Phantom Ruby. Later on, when Sentinel begins faking another fight for the foxes to see, Coal and Crystal enter on scene, and destroy the Phantom Ruby, with Tails using the recorded evidence to expose Sentinel, turning the villagers against him. Just as the real wolves arrive, Tails, Coal, Crystal and Stella fight back, and defeat them, forcing them to retreat, while the wolves also drag Sentinel off into the darker woods to execute him as retribution for making a mockery of them. Tails, Coal, Crystal and Stella are hailed by other foxes, who are now led by Flora, as the four decide to continue living on Earth. Coal and Crystal earn a new home with one of Maddie's co-workers while Stella is accepted by Helen along with Amy and Lyla. Later at night, Stella discovers a mysterious bangle pulsing with energy, and puts it on. | ||||
