Marvel Zombies: The Video Game

Marvel Zombies: The Video Game is an American horror video game based on Marvel Comics. It is heavily inspired on the Marvel Zombies comic book series.

Premise[]

When New York gets devastated by a zombie virus outbreak, Mary Jane Watson and Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier now have to navigate the streets of New York while dealing with numerous zombies (including zombified super humans, like even superheroes), and working with a group of survivors to find the cure.

Plot[]

Tony Stark / Iron Man and Bruce Banner / Hulk are in space searching for Hank Pym, who went missing following the Avengers' battle against Thanos. They find Pym in a Stark Satellite, but are unaware that Pym had contracted a virus which corrupted his brain, turning him into a zombie. Pym quickly infects both Stark and Banner as soon as the three of them enter Earth's atmosphere. Within 24 hours, the virus spreads across the Northwestern United States, creating more zombies. The Avengers respond, but are infected themselves and turn the virus into a worldwide zombie apocalypse.

One month later, Mary Jane Watson is living a nomadic life after her aunt Anna and mother were killed, and her fiance Peter Parker/ Spider-Man was zombified by Felicia Hardy / Black Cat. Upon rescuing Cassie Lang from a zombified J. Jonah Jameson, Mary Jane encounters Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier, another survivor of the zombie infestation who has heard from a group of survivors hiding in an abandoned Stark Industries building about the news that a cure is being found.

  • Mary Jane "MJ" Watson (voiced by Danica McKellar) - One of the main protagonists, and one of the survivors of the zombie virus outbreak. Her tragedy begun when she witnessed her mother and aunt Anna getting killed and Peter Parker/Spider-Man getting infected and turned into a zombie, all by the hands of a zombified Black Cat.
  • James "Bucky" Barnes / Winter Soldier (voiced by Matt Lanter) - One of the main protagonists, and one of the survivors of the zombie virus outbreak. Acting as an older brother-figure for Mary Jane, Barnes himself struggles to cope with the loss of his lover Natasha Romanoff, and his best friend and former brother-in-arms Steve Rogers having been infected and turned into a zombie.
  • Ultron (voiced by Fred Tatasciore) - the disembodied head of the killer Android who now joins MJ and Bucky on their journey, claiming that he can find a cure for the zombie virus.

  • Nicholas "Nick" Fury (voiced by Khary Payton) - The only non zombified agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. who leads a safe haven for survivors.
  • Peter Quill/Star-Lord (voiced by Jason Spisak) - The half-human, half-alien former leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy. His tragedy begun after Gamora was infected during the outbreak and turned into a zombie, killing Rocket and Groot and infecting Drax as well, forcing Quill to kill her. He is shown to be Mary Jane's new lover, and they sympathize with each other over their losses.
  • Cassandra "Cassie" Lang (voiced by Katie Leigh) - The 6-year-old daughter of Scott Lang / Ant-Man. She is initially traumatized over father's death by the hands of a zombified Hank Pym, but is soon comforted by MJ, whom she grows close to view as a new mother.
  • F.R.I.D.A.Y. (voiced by Kath Soucie) - An A.I. system which formerly assisted Tony Stark until he was infected by the zombie virus. She now assists MJ in her journey.
