1 A Scorched Heart A Horde super-soldier adjusts to her life with vikings.
Days after Adora and Catra defected from the Horde to the Princess Rebellion of Etherian alongside Entrapta and Scorpia, Horde Prime ordered the creation of several clones of the defectors, including Despara (a hybrid clone of Adora and Hordak) and Anala (a hybrid clone of Adora and Catra with fire abilities), which she would use as host bodies to lead the Horde forces. However, Anala awakened after developing memories from both Adora and Catra, and eventually escaped captivity, killing her creators and other clones (save for Despara, who is possessed by Horde Prime), and fleeing to places unknown. In present day, Anala is living with the Throatcutters, a tribe of vikings and valkyries in Eternia led by Kulf, who took Anala in after finding her unconscious in the wilderness. Encouraged by a shaman into undergoing her rite of passage, Anala settles to hunt and slay a dragon to earn a valkyrie recognition. Doing so after taming a three-headed tiger named Ghostfire who becomes her mount and companion, Anala is informed that the Throatcutters' village is being attacked by members of their old rivals, the all-male Blood Ravens, who seek to kill the men and children, and enslave the women. Rushing there, Anala kills the Blood Ravens, including their Sergeant Dolr, but finds Kulf wounded in the battle. Having seen her fighting spirit long before they met, Kulf bestows Anala with his sword Dragon Bane, naming her the new leader of the Throatcutters before dying. After Kulf's funeral, Anala accepts her role as the village's leader and protector and leads the Throatcutters to fight back against the Blood Ravens.
2 A Death Wish Bounty hunters endure a dangerous task at Jabba the Hutt's behalf.
Having become an aspiring bounty hunter for one year under the mentorship of Cad Bane, Boba Fett is sent for his first real mission on behalf of Tatooine's crime lord Jabba the Hutt: to kill two rogue Jedi in Mustafar. Seeking to escape his past as a Sith Inquisitor apprentice, Gallen "Starkiller" Marek, who has been apprenticed by former Sith assassin Asajj Ventress, is hired by Jabba to kill a duo of outlaws, with his mission also taking place in Mustafar. Both Bane and Ventress grow suspicious of Jabba's scheme. After a fight against several Imperial forces guarding Mustafar, Fett and Starkiller eventually fight each other, only to discover that they were both hired to kill each other by Jabba, who is seeking to manipulate bounty hunters into killing each other for their profits. After surviving the explosion of the base orchestrated by Jodo Kast (also known as the Sentinel), who is one of Jabba's spies, Fett and Starkiller agree to fight back against him. Also learning of Jabba's manipulations, Bane and Ventress agree to get payback against him. Fett, Starkiller, Ventress and Bane eventually break into Jabba's palace, and confront him, overpowering his henchmen, and overthrowing him, and feeding Jabba to his Rancor. As Bane and Fett claim control of Jabba's palace and mob on behalf of the Death Watch crime syndicate led by Darth Maul, Ventress and Starkiller settle to take the collected evidences of Kast's illegal activities to Luke Skywalker, so he can expose Kast's crimes to Mandalore.
3 Howling Phantoms A crew of rogue members of the Jackal Squad are on the run.
Having become relentless thieves, mercenaries and assassins over the years which went by, the members of the Jackal Squad continued their activities across Mobius, coming in conflict with Doctor Robotnik's robot forces and G.U.N.. One patrol led by Razor is sent to steal a Phantom Ruby prototype guarded by a G.U.N. Unit, until a shootout erupts between the Jackals and Captain Whisker's crew. After the jackals with him are killed, Razor (against the Squad's leader Zero's orders[1]) decides to destroy the Phantom Ruby prototype, resulting in an explosion which destroys the outpost, and Razor ends up missing in the nearby river and presumed dead. But Zero does not honor Razor's sacrifice because of his ways of disobeying orders. Three years later, Razor (now an outcast from the Jackal Squad society) is living a simple life in the Windmill Village as a farmer, until he finds himself having to defend the farm from a crew of robot pirates seeking to ravage the village. Knowing that the robots are hunting both active and inactive members of the Squad, Razor resolves that he must leave the village for his neighbors' safety. He also decides to form a crew of his own by recruiting other mutually disgraced, former members of the Jackal Squad who were either cast out or left behind. Razor manages to recruit tech expert Ada, experienced sniper and firearms expert Watcher, explosive expert Screwball, and muscular prison inmate Butch to his cause, while vowing they will not aim for innocents like Zero's Squad did before. Razor and his crew manage to track down and infiltrate Whisker's ship, where they end up rescuing and recruiting roboticized jackal Dynamo, who helps them sabotage the ship. Whisker discovers them, and a brutal fight issues. Razor manages to incapacitate Whisker, while Screwball and Dynamo set off the explosives in the ship. Razor and the crew evacuate while the explosives obliterate the ship along with Whisker and his crew. Razor continues travelling alongside his new crew, while vowing to be better bounty hunters than Zero and the rest of the Jackal Squad were in decades.
4 The Human Factor Two mercenaries achieve power from Cybertronian lore, but at the cost their humanity.
MECH mercenaries Dylan Manus and Josie Beller raid a Cobra facility after discovering that Cobra developed new weapons of Cybertronian technology, including a robotic body to serve as "Cobra's answer to Izabella Morgan's Bioformer project" for G.I. Joe. During the crossfire, the base is attacked by Lockdown, a former Herald of Unicron who is seeking resources to destroy both Autobots and Decepticons. He kills the Cobra scientists and obtains most of the Cybertronian technology, severely wounding Manus (whose consciousness is unknowingly transferred to the Cybertronian body) and Beller. As Lockdown escapes, Manus recovers Beller, whose body is fused with and healed by Energon-powered nanites which reanimate her as a cyborg. Both are now more powerful than before, but at the cost of their humanity. Seeking revenge on Lockdown, Manus (calling himself Tarn) and Beller (going by the alias Circuit Breaker) pursue him in his laboratory, where they discover Lockdown with MECH benefactor Harold Attinger, who is working with Lockdown in exchange for resources to clone his deceased daughter Ursula. Remembering that Ursula was a young agent of Cobra, Manus and Beller eventually realize that MECH and Cobra were actually business allies, and not enemies like Attinger said they were. As Manus / Tarn directly attacks Lockdown, Beller / Circuit Breaker pursues and confronts Attinger, killing him and destroying the prototype clones he created. She eventually helps Tarn kill Lockdown, and they destroy the laboratory. As they hear that Leland "Silas" Bishop is assuming Attinger's position as leader of MECH, Tarn and Circuit Breaker decide to leave MECH, abandon their human identities, and live what is left of their lives.
5 Child's Play Winter Soldier and Black Widow settle to find what created the universe they are at.
During the breakout of superhuman clones from Raymond Warren's laboratory[2], Kobik, a child girl who was cloned from Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier and Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow, escapes with a combined prototype of the Space and Reality Infinity Stones to an abandoned supervillain prison known as the Cube, unknowingly absorbing the substance, and achieving reality-warping powers, and reshaping the outpost into a reality of her desire. Sensing Kobik, Winter Soldier and Black Widow settle to investigate the anomaly and retrieve Kobik, while also learning that Taskmaster and the agents of the Red Room plan to capture Kobik, and train her to become a Hydra assassin. Winter Soldier and Black Widow enter the Cube, which has been converted into a darker version of their universe, with Black Widow deducing that it is based on Kobik's recent nightmares and the repressed memories of Winter Soldier's and Black Widow's past as Red Room operatives. Taskmaster and his crew also arrive, although most of his crew end up killed by the figures from the Cube. After overcoming the figures in the Cube, including twisted versions of the Avengers, Winter Soldier and Black Widow encounter Kobik, and comfort her enough to have her undo her virtual reality. Taskmaster confronts the pair, who defeat him and force him to retreat. Sometime later, Barnes and Romanoff have decided to raise Kobik (who is renamed Katrina Barnes-Romanoff) as their daughter, and vow to help her control her powers. Elsewhere, Melanie Castor, the young mastermind who ordered Taskmaster to capture Kobik is displeased by her operative's failure, but impressed by how other universes' beings could be useful for her plan to overthrow Norman Osborn. Using her abilities to traverse into the Multiverse, Melanie decides to initiate the next step of her plan.
6 Punisher vs. The World Punisher struggles to survive a universe of cannibals.
[3]Frank Castle the Punisher is sent by Norman Osborn for a mission to hunt after a thief who carries evidence of a new scheme carried by Wilson Fisk the Kingpin. During a shootout against Kingpin's mob, Punisher is knocked out by an explosion while others are killed. Castle awakens to see New York in ruins, and humans (including even superheroes) having been infected by Survivor 118, a virus which converts the victims into mentally unstable cannibals, with Spider-Man having been reportedly the first infected, and having been dubbed Patient Zero. After a struggle against an infected Daredevil, Castle is met with a group of survivors, including Anne Weying, who is hostile towards Castle as she blames him to starting the infection in first place. Other survivors plan to evacuate the ravaged New York via a ship at New York's docks, while planning to nuke the city to stop the infection from spreading. Castle eventually helps the crew cross over the streets, and do away with the cannibals. As he helps the survivors escape, Castle stays behind to fend off the cannibals, including Patient Zero, until both are pulled into a portal by Carlie Cooper / Moon Owl to a still intact New York. Both Castle and Patient Zero are confronted by an uninfected and still sane Spider-Man, who kills the latter with Phoenix Talon, and reveals to Castle that he had been warped into another universe by the Spot as part of a plan to drive Punisher insane. As Spider-Man leaves to capture the Spot, Osborn is enraged to see that Spider-Man knows of his plans, and insists on finding other ways to stop him, with his son Harry backing him up. Unknown to both, a mysterious woman is watching them, and holding a skull-marked coin with Harry's image on one side.
7 Sins Rising Harry Osborn is haunted by a nightmare foreshadowing his fate.
[4]While overseeing more projects to help his father and overhearing that Spider-Man is out of his universe, Harry intercepts a mysterious hooded woman invading Oscorp, and dons the Hobgoblin armor to pursue her. The woman continues eluding Harry, while taunting him over his blind hatred of Spider-Man and devotion to Norman, which led to Sally Avril's death and Harry's identity of Hobgoblin revealed to the public. A provoked Harry chases her into a warp hole which transports him into an alternate universe where Oscorp's weapons fell in the hands of Thanos, who used them to successfully conquer Earth, killing most of Earth's superheroes including Spider-Man in the progress. As he fights his way through the dystopian Earth, Harry is confronted by this universe's Peter Parker, who was converted into the most powerful member of Thanos's Black Order, and Mary Jane Watson, who became a Herald of Galactus, with the woman haunting Harry with memories of how his actions also fractured his friendship with Peter, Mary Jane and others he loved as well. Just then, Harry is warped into a wall of alternate realities, which showcases alternate versions of him dying similar deaths. The woman eventually reveals herself as the entity of Death, who taunts that Harry will die a similar death if he does not change his ways, and step out of his father's shadow. A traumatized Harry blacks out, and awakens in his reality, with Norman convincing him that what he saw was an illusion. Watching this from her drone, Melanie praises Death's good work while setting to start the next phase of her plan, which involves the newly assembled Goblin Force, a group of Norman's multiversal variants as Norman decides to take action as the Green Goblin.
8 Nightmare in Green Variants of the Green Goblin are on a rampage, and Harry hunts the mastermind.
Shortly after Harry left Horizon Academy to enroll at his father Norman's Osborn Academy, Melanie (who was an old friend of Harry's) interned at Oscorp while showcasing the dimensional portals she was working on, until her experiment went haywire, and caused an explosion which affected her DNA, for which she was kicked out by Norman, with Harry choosing not to defend her. In Present Day, Melanie (who had earned the ability to manipulate technology and create dimension-travelling portals, and dubbed herself Cyba) sends the Goblin Force to attack Tokyo, Paris, London, Cairo, Rio de Janeiro and Sydney as part of her plan to tarnish Osborn's reputation in revenge for Harry's betrayal of her. Several heroes (including Elektra, Blade, Elsa Bloodstone, and Moon Knight) answer the call to fight the alternate Goblins, issuing in a deadly battle. Also learning of the Goblin Force, Prime Earth Norman / Green Goblin pursues his variants, as Harry / Hobgoblin also joins the fight, although he becomes reminded of the trauma he endured in Death's alternate reality after unmasking Classic Goblin as a variant of his father, and Norman is pushed into his limits by his counterparts taunting him that they are the same. Learning that Cyba is responsible, Harry confronts and kills her in front of horrified witnesses, further damaging his and Norman's reputation. After most of the Goblin variants are killed, Doctor Stephen Strange, Moon Owl, Cloak and Dagger manage to banish the surviving variants into the Void. Harry soon watches in horror as Spider-Man, who had returned from the neighboring universes he traveled to rebuild the Infinity Sword and rescue the missing children and superheroes, exposes Norman's crimes and identity of Green Goblin to the world. Elsewhere, the Spider-Queen awakens overhearing the news, and mutters that the time has come.[5]
9 Bad Blood Elsa Bloodstone reluctantly protects Eddie Brock from strangers hunting him.
Since he was separated from the Venom Symbiote, Eddie Brock has been on the run from authorities after what he committed before he and the Symbiote bonded. While running from the San Francisco Police Department, Brock ends up suffering headaches while envisioning the Necrosword, allowing the SFPD to capture and arrest him. He is soon watched by Bloodstone, who senses a "bad blood" coursing through Brock's body. Imprisoned in the Raft, Brock encounters Carlton Drake plagued by the Curse of Prometheus inflicted on him by Spider-Man, and rejects his pleas to stop Spider-Man from killing the remaining Symbiotes with Phoenix Talon and the Iron Phoenix Force. Just as the police arrives with a likewise cursed and apprehended Mordecai Midas, the prison is attacked by a Xenophage which kills Midas and Drake, and pursues Brock. He is saved by Bloodstone, who warns Brock about other forces hunting him for what he has. These other forces include villains who were displaced from their universes by the incursion caused by Riot. Bloodstone and Brock are chased by Horde spiders sent by the Red Sirens, Death Watch enforcers dispatched by Darth Maul, Jackal Squad enforcers and Terrorcons; all sensing a darkness in Brock which even Doom is hunting for. Just then, Brock begins manifesting Symbiote-like tendrils, as Bloodstone reveals that Venom left a small fragment of his Symbiote on Brock after saving him from death once. This also created a Codex which the Symbiotes need to hasten Knull's resurrection. Concluding that both host and Symbiote must die, Bloodstone detonates a napalm grenade which vaporizes both Brock and the Symbiote, destroying the Codex in the progress. She soon resorts to investigate the anomalies which the incursion has caused.
10 Bring Me the Heads of the Sentinels! The fates of other universes' Sentinels are revealed.
Imprisoned in the Fire Dimension and plagued by the Curse of Prometheus after his confrontation with Spider-Man, Rowan Flynn is haunted by memories of his murder of his incarcerated mother Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (who mocked him as a failure like his father) before helplessly envisioning the lives and deaths of the other criminals who were known as Sentinel: the Etherian Sentinel was once a loyalist of the Royal Family of Grayskull until he betrayed the king and queen, and sold their infant daughter Princess Adora to the Horde. Years later, after Adora became She-Ra and revealed herself, Sentinel was exposed for his crimes, and banished to the Fright Zone, where he was ambushed by the Red Sirens, and fed to one of their spiders. The Mandalorian Sentinel, Jodo Kast, was once considered a hero in Mandalore, until he was exposed by Luke Skywalker of faking his "heroic deeds and battles against the Death Watch organization", and banished from the Mandalorian Senate. He was subsequently captured by the Death Watch assassins and executed by Maul. The Mobian Sentinel was the leader of a village of foxes who faked his battles against the Jackal Squad using holograms projected by a Phantom Ruby he stole, and also persecuted foxes who "were not the same" like Miles "Tails" Prower and Zooey Blossom, until Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails exposed his fraud by destroying the Phantom Ruby, and showcasing footage of him cowardly fleeing the Squad. After being banished from his village, Sentinel was ambushed by Infinite and the Jackal Squad, and brutally executed. And the Cybertronian Sentinel (self-named "Sentinel Prime") named himself leader of Cybertron while claiming to be "protecting his people from the Quintessons and searching for the Matrix of Leadership", until Orion Pax (who would soon be known as Optimus Prime) exposed him for killing the original thirteen Primes, selling Cybertron's Energon to the Quintessons, and for removing the Miners' T-Cogs before they became operational. Moments after this, Sentinel was brutally executed by D-16, who took the Cog of Megatronus Prime, and became Megatron. Rowan is soon haunted by hallucinations of the corpses of the Sentinels demanding his head and limbs, and the Symbiote God Knull taunting that he is leading his world to extinction. He freaks out until he escapes the Fire Dimension, and returns to New York, only to learn that Spider-Man has already exposed his crimes, including his masquerade as a superhero, and his killings of his mother and Midas's daughter Meredith. As he runs away from protesting New Yorkers and the police, Rowan is confronted by Carnage, who devours his head for failing him and Doctor Doom. Rowan's spirit awakens in Hell, where he is tortured endlessly by Mephisto, along with other victims of the Curse of Prometheus.
11 Assassins' Code A group of exiles team up against a common enemy.
As Spider-Man is reported to have joined the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy in their battle against Thanos, Elektra settles to find answers about the strangers who arrived from other universes. She is informed about some "exiles" who are running loose, and coming in conflict with her former clan, the Hand. She first encounters barbarian princess Anala and her three-headed tiger Ghostfire, with whom she teams up in slaying a Chitauri Leviathan summoned by the Hand. Elektra then has a brief fight with Starkiller and Ventress, who assume Elektra is working for the Hand, until they reach a stalemate, and learn otherwise. Elektra soon comes across the Renegade Jackals (Razor, Ada, Watcher, Screwball, Dynamo, and Butch) when they try to steal from the mob of Kingpin, who had hired some of the Hand's enforcers for their services. She then encounters Tarn and Circuit Breaker fighting a horde of zombies unleashed by the Hand headmaster Shingen Yashida / Silver Samurai. Knowing that Yashida and the Hand are taking great advantage of superheroes' absence, Elektra settles to confront them in their hideout. Initially outnumbered and outmatched, Elektra is joined by the self-named "Exiles", and they wipe out the Hand ninjas, as Elektra is likewise able to defeat and kill Yashida, ending the Hand's reign. Just then, Elektra is met with the Midnight Suns, who request hers and the Exiles' aid with another threat which Thanos unleashed.
12 Midnight Exiles The Exiles and the Midnight Suns work together to destroy the last Klyntauri.
In the moment Riot caused the incursion by breaking the Star Siege apart, the Klyntauri were driven berserk by the awakening of the Necrosword, leading to Thanos and his lieutenants to contain them until the Necrosword was destroyed. However, one of the Klyntauri escaped, and landed on Earth, where it obtained the last prototypes of the Space and Reality Stone, and a Serpent-like Asgardian amulet. In Present, the Midnight Suns and Exiles are updated on the Klyntauri, which is gaining a sense of intelligence of its own, with Bloodstone sensing it is being possessed by the consciousness and soul of Cul Borson (the Asgardian God of Fear known as the Serpent who was slain by Thena with Phoenix Talon centuries ago) through the Asgardian amulet. The Midnight Suns and Exiles pursue and confront the Serpent, who has assembled his heralds known as the Worthy by sending their hammers to convert and corrupt some of Earth's most powerful metahumans (Juggernaut, Titania, Absorbing Man and Wendigo King), and multiversal variants of General Grievous, Metal Sonic, Green Goblin[6] and the Punisher. A fight issues until Ventress and Michael Morbius give Punisher a vision of his main universe counterpart's fate, causing him to break out of Serpent's control and hold off the other members of the Worthy, allowing the Midnight Suns and Exiles to pursue the Serpent into the Void, where he plans to perform a ritual to transfer his soul into the body of a variant of Omega-Level Mutant telepath Cassandra Nova, and become unstoppable. The team disrupts the ritual, and defeat the Serpent, destroying his amulet, and sending him to the Sanctuary X, at the same time Spider-Man and the Knights of the Multiverse defeat Thanos and send the Klyntauri away from Earth. The Punisher is likewise able to kill the Worthy, while choosing to atune for the crimes he committed in his universe by guarding the Void. The Midnight Suns and Exiles return to the main universe, vowing to work together until the multiversal incursion is undone.
