Heroes and Supporting Characters

Returning from Webbed Champion

  • The Champions - A group of young superheroes who aspire to become the next generation of the Avengers.
    • Spider-Man / Peter Parker (voiced by Robbie Daymond) - A former student from Midtown High and currently a Horizon High School student who received spider-like powers after being bitten by a radioactive spider of Oscorp, and the leader of the Champions.
    • Tigra / Mary Jane Watson (voiced by Ashley Johnson) - Peter’s girlfriend and classmate in Midtown High School-later-Horizon High School, and the second-in-command of the Champions. She is a half-human, half Titanian Tiger hybrid (daughter of F.E.A.S.T. deceased nurse Mary Watson and Titanian Tiger Soto (also known as "deceased" Stark Industries scientist Dr. Phillip Watson)) who has the ability to shapeshift into a humanoid tigress with the abilities of Fire and Ice Breath, Hypnosis and (according to her teammates) the “strength of ten tigers combined” (provided by Superhuman Strength and Stamina, wall climbing, Superhuman leaping, unbreakable claws and teeth, and able to run and swim in superhuman speeds). She is also a skilled master archer, and is equipped with a tribal bow and Vibranium arrow set.
    • White Wolf / Harry Lyman (voiced by Max Mittelman) - Peter’s best friend and a chief executive at Horizon Labs, who operates as White Wolf, following exposure to a small shard of the Lunar Crystal (but without the same side-effects of John Jameson’s Man-Wolf form), and donning a Vibranium suit provided by T'Challa / Black Panther.
    • Kid Arachnid / Miles Morales (voiced by Nadji Jeter) - One of Peter’s friends and classmates at Horizon High and Spider-Man's primary partner-in-justice who was bitten by the Electrolis Arachnatis spider created by Raymond Warren, and became his own incarnation of Spider-Man.
    • Ghost-Spider / Gwen Stacy (voiced by Laura Bailey) - A student at Horizon High, and one of Peter’s friends and classmates, and a member of the Champions who is also a spider-powered superheroine.
    • Spider-Girl / Anya Corazon (voiced by Melanie Minichino) - A top student at Horizon High and Gwen’s best friend as well as one of Peter’s friends, and a member of the Champions who is also a spider-powered superheroine.
    • Ms. Marvel / Kamala Khan (voiced by Kathreen Khavari) - A member of the Champions, a close friend and classmate of Peter and Mary Jane, and a teenage superhero fangirl who manifested her size/shape shifting abilities due to exposure to the Terrigen Mist and her status as a Inhuman descendant. Since the events of Princesses of Destiny Issue #3 "A Magnificent Change", Kamala has donned a new costume (a replica of Carol Danvers’s classic black leotard) composed of nanotechnology which allows Kamala to assimilate Captain Marvel’s abilities to fly and absorb energy. She is also revealed to have started dating Sam Alexander / Nova.
    • Groot (voiced by Jessica DiCicco) - A member of the Champions and the Guardians of the Galaxy who is a toddler tree-like humanoid. He is close friends with Spider-Man, Tigra, Speed, Ant-Girl, and Spider-Boy.
    • Firestar / Liz Allan (voiced by Natalie Lander) - Harry's girlfriend, one of Peter's and Mary Jane's friends and former classmates at Midtown High School, where Liz was ranked class president. Liz became Firestar, a superheroine with Flight and Pyrokinetic abilities, due to exposure to a small active shard of the destroyed Blood Gem which duplicated Molten Man's powers.
    • Wave / Michelle Jones (voiced by Alanna Ubach) - Liz's best friend, a former Midtown High School-later-Horizon High School student and aspiring professional swimmer who (due to exposure to an Oscorp Super Soldier formula which was accidentally dropped by Spencer Smythe in a gym pool she was swimming at in Midtown High) developed water-bending abilities and superhuman speed running and swimming. Despite terrified with her mutations, Michelle became inspired by Peter's heroic actions as Spider-Man, and became the new heroine Wave. Along with a Stark Industries nanotech wetsuit, and a underwater-breathing mask, she also wears a "Cuttlefish Circuit" wristband (which allows her to camouflage, switch hair color, and design artificial tattoos on her skin) and wields a pair of Atlantean nano-tech Escrima Sticks which can extend themselves into a pair of Adamantium swords and (when fused together as a bo staff) can extend itself into a trident which can fire concussive heat beams, and electro-blasts.
    • Ant-Girl / Cassandra "Cassie" Lang (voiced by Jessica DiCicco) - Gwen's rather enthusiastic, but highly intelligent 8-year-old younger cousin, who received a prototype Pym Particle suit after coming in contact with a nano-tech wrist device which duplicated the functions of her father Scott's Ant-Man suit. Her suit comes out of the device, which she uses to design and redesign her suit. She strongly loves her cousin, and is shown to have a very soft relationship with Peter Parker and the rest of the teenaged heroes, who view her as a little sister. She is also a very close friend to Marcus Thompson's younger brother Jack, whom she occasionally nicknames "Jackie".
    • Stormranger / Teresa Parker (voiced by Mae Whitman) - Peter's 11-year-old younger sister, and a Bilderberg Academy student who donned a flight nanosuit of Stark Industries and Kree technology (which includes the same functions of Tony Stark's Iron Man suit, as well as camouflage and phasing functions) with arm blades and optic beams and begun to operate as the new superheroine Stormranger.
    • Nova / Sam Alexander (voiced by Jack DeSena) - A teenager who was chosen to become a member of the Nova Corps like his father Jesse before him. He is a friend of Ms. Marvel (whom he has begun dating) and Kid Arachnid.
    • American Knight / Kevin Walker (voiced by Cameron Bowen) - The son of decorated U.S. Military captain John Walker, and a student in Horizon High who sports his own prototype of the Iron Man suit which is inspired on Captain America's attire. Along with the same functions of Tony Stark's armor, Kevin's suit also has a Vibranium-powered blue construct projector which allows him to conjure a sword and shield for close self-defense. He is Gwen's boyfriend.
    • Lin Lie the Sword Master (voiced by Matthew Yang King) - One of Shang-Chi's first students, and the last descendant of Fuxi who received his ancestor's ancient sword, which has mysterious magical powers.
    • The Lion King / Marcus Thompson (voiced by Jason Marsden) - A teenager who, after becoming the host of an alien lion's spirit, earned increased abilities similar to those of Black Panther's, and the abilities to liberate fire solar energy from his eyes and hands, and let out a sonic wave lion roar, operating as a lion-based superhero. The lion spirit is recognized by T'Challa / Black Panther as a spawn of the Egyptian wargod Maahes. In his off-time, Marcus is a party entertainer who brings joy to children in orphanages and hospitals dressed as a cartoon lion called "Lyle the Happy Lion", impressing his high school crush-later-girlfriend Barbara Morse, but clashing with the interests of his estranged older half-brother Flash Thompson, whom Marcus only prefers to address to by his real name Eugene.
    • Speed / Jack Thompson (voiced by Katie Leigh) - Marcus's 9-year-old younger brother, and Flash's youngest half-brother who (due to exposure to an Kree power gem which duplicated Quicksilver's powers) manifested the ability to run into super-sonic speeds. He is a very close friend to Gwen's younger cousin Cassie Lang, who occasionally calls him "Jackie" and he usually blushes about it. Like Marcus, Jack also has a estranged relationship with Flash due to his previous bully behavior; it is also mentioned that Jack hates him due to Flash always making fun of Jack's friendship with Cassie.
    • Brawn / Amadeus Cho (voiced by Eric Bauza) - A 24-year-old young genius and college student who is described as Earth's Seventh Smartest Person and, due to partial exposure to Gamma Radiation, he had become an younger version of the Hulk (although he retains his original personality and voice).
    • Mantis (voiced by Hynden Walch) - A naive but innocent, genetically engineered alien girl with the abilities of Empathy, Astral Projection, Superhuman Leaping, Healing Factor and Plant Manipulation. She started out having a psychic link with Peter during her awakening, but soon grew to become a independent lifeforms.
    • AC-5 / Ace - An A.I. drone who is part of one of Richard and Mary Parker’s science projects. Despite not able to speak in human language, Peter and his friends are shown to be able to understand his beepings. He is also shown to have (as Gwen describes) a “very human personality”, which is represented by the Emoji-like images on his holographic face.
    • Jarvis / J.A.R.V.I.S. (voiced by Patton Oswalt) - Richard Parker's old A.I. robot assistant who was stored in the main computers of the Triskelion before Richard and Mary were ambushed and killed by Red Skull. He was soon found and reawakened by his master's son Peter, who then relocated Jarvis into the brain of a robot body (hidden in the undergrounds of Horizon High) which was part of the Parkers' second project. The robot uses the Tesseract (a cosmic-powered cube housing the Space Infinity Stone) as a power source and enhancer and has the functions of analyzing and identifying organic individuals (able to scan humans' identities and personal profiles) and create teleportation portals.
    • Arsenal / Chris Cooper (voiced by Roger Craig Smith) - An army sergeant who was assumed killed by the Red Skull while leading his men to an assault on Hydra. Flashbacks reveal that he was vaporized by Red Skull with a Neuro-Cortex-powered gun which not only disintegrated his body, but absorbed his consciousness into a micro-card which ended up lost when Truman Marsh double-crossed Skull and Osborn for his own plans. The card with his consciousness was later recovered by Teresa Parker / Stormranger, who then delivered it to Spider-Man and his team and transferred Sergeant Cooper's consciousness into an alien robot body which Peter and Teresa's parents were working on as part of their third project. Now named "Arsenal", Sergeant Cooper earned the abilities to manipulate technology and change his body to the form of any vehicle he scans. He eventually took the shape of one of the Avengers' Quinjets. He now acts as a guardian to Spider-Man and his friends, including his daughter Carlie.
  • Carlie Cooper - Peter’s paraplegic friend and classmate in Horizon High, who oversees the activities of superheroes through her owl-shaped drones. She formerly underwent the alias of Alpha-Owl, but disused it due to her lack of presence in certain places.
  • The Avengers - A group composed of Earth’s mightiest superheroes who dedicate their lives protecting their world from several threats which no hero can fight alone. They consist of:
    • Iron Man / Tony Stark (voiced by Mick Wingert) - The second-in command and benefactor of the Avengers, who is the CEO of Stark Industries and a self-described genius, billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist with electromechanical suits of armor of his own invention. He is one of Peter’s idols and mentors and a benefactor of Horizon High School.
    • Captain America / Steve Rogers (voiced by Roger Craig Smith) - The leader of the Avengers and a World War II veteran, who was enhanced to the peak of human physicality by an experimental serum and frozen in suspended animation before waking up in the modern world. He eventually becomes a mentor to Spider-Man and his friends.
    • Captain Marvel / Carol Danvers (voiced by Jennifer Hale) - An Avenger and former U.S pilot who was imbued with the metahuman abilities of flight, superhuman strength and stamina, and Energy liberation following an encounter with the Kree Empire. She is Kamala Khan’s superhero idol and inspiration.
    • Thor (voiced by Travis Willingham) - An Avenger and the crown prince of Asgard, based on the Norse mythological deity of the same name.
    • Hulk / Bruce Banner (voiced by Fred Tatasciore) - An Avenger and a genius scientist who, because of exposure to gamma radiation, transforms into a monster when enraged or agitated.

Returning from Princesses of Destiny

  • Spider-Woman / Jessica Reilly (voiced by Janet Varney) - Peter’s 24-year-old older cousin, and a college graduate who earned spider powers from a Super-Soldier serum inflicted on her by A.I.M. Scientist Supreme Monica Rappaccini during a fight against Iron Man.
  • Jackpot / Alana Jobson (voiced by Peyton R. List) - Jessica’s 23-year-old roommate and girlfriend who earned superhuman strength and speed on par with Captain America from a Super Soldier serum inflicted on her by A.I.M. Scientist Supreme Monica Rappaccini during a fight against Iron Man.

Introduced in Rising Legend

  • Fantastic Four - A crew of astronauts and outer space explorers who developed their powers following a freak accident in space. • H.E.R.B.I.E. (voiced by Laura Bailey) - The Fantastic Four's robotic assistant.
  • Spider-Dog / Buster - A German shepherd dog who earned Spider-Man’s powers from a Super-Soldier pill containing Spider-Man’s DNA. A new member of the Champions, he also becomes the Parker family’s companion pet.
  • Spider-Boy / Ben Parker Stacy (voiced by Benjamin Valic) - A de-aged binary clone of Peter and Gwen created by the Jackal for his plan to uncover Spider-Man’s identity, until Spider-Boy (who shared Peter's and Gwen's recent memories) turned against his creator, and went out to search for his templates. Despite being a clone, Spider-Boy is well treated by Peter and Gwen as their equal and as their "little brother". He is currently living with Peter, Teresa and Aunt May, who names him Ben. He is also very close friends with Jack Thompson / Speed, Cassie Lang / Ant-Girl (who calls him her "cousin"), and Groot.

1 Brand New Day Peter Parker resumes life anew as Spider-Man following his victory against the Regent.
A week after the defeat of the Regent and his army of Insectoids from the Negative Zone[1], Peter Parker continues life anew as a high school student and as the superhero Spider-Man, while Horizon High School is endorsed by Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic and new teacher Celeste Wang, and the Champions welcome Barbara "Barbie" Morse / Mockingbird and Inhuman couple Cloak and Dagger to the team. During which, Peter and his sister Teresa and Aunt May are visited by his older cousin Jessica Reilly (also the superheroine Spider-Woman)[2], who comes out to her family about her relationship with her girlfriend and superhero partner and Max Modell’s niece Alana Jobson / Jackpot after graduating from college and joining the Avengers, and with Jessica planning to host a family dinner night at her townhouse. After teaming up with the Fantastic Four to defeat a group of Symbiote-infected Latverian soldiers, Peter also continues spending time with his friends, including his girlfriend Mary Jane Watson / Tigra, as they recall the previous events of their lives. Meanwhile, Eddie Brock (still haunted by his mistakes against Peter[3]) is in San Francisco trying to adjust to his new life as a hero with the Venom Symbiote bonded to him, although most citizens still distrust the pair following the previous incidents. Brock and Venom are eventually challenged by the presence of the Carnage Symbiote, which had survived its apparent demise[4], and bonded to Ravencroft Institute convict Cletus Kasady, who escapes and breaks into a Oscorp facility to steal an experimental pill containing Spider-Man’s DNA, until Brock and Venom emerge and fight Carnage and Kasady, who lose the pill in the process. Notified of the fight between Venom and Carnage which soon takes place in New York, Spider-Man arrives and (just as Brock and Venom cannot) defeats Carnage, with Jarvis teleporting the Symbiote to the sun, and Tigra disabling Kasady mentally. As Brock and Venom flee after being blamed for the disaster, Peter joins his friends and family for a dinner night in Jessica’s townhouse. Meanwhile, the Spider-Man pill falls in a plate of sausages which are eaten by Buster, a German shepherd from New York’s animal shelter who unknowingly ingests the pill, and manifests Spider-Man's powers. In a mid-credit scene, a mysteriously hooded Ravencroft convict who had escaped with help from Kasady is hiding in the sewers of New York, with a capsule containing an upgraded Hobgoblin Suit.
2 Man’s Best Friend A dog with spider-powers emerges in New York, and earns the Champions’ friendship.
Following a fight against a criminal gang attempting to break Wilson Fisk the Kingpin out of jail[5], Spider-Man is approached by Carolyn Trainer, with whom he shares knowledge of how he produces his web-shooters. Next day, while teaming up with Hawkeye against the Silvermane mob and a new individual who donned the Hobgoblin suit, Spider-Man and his Spider-powered teammates (Miles Morales / Kid Arachnid, Gwen Stacy / Ghost-Spider, and Anya Corazon / Spider-Girl) are joined in by Buster (who is now known as "Spider-Dog"), who helps the four defeat Silvermane and his henchmen, and forces the new Hobgoblin to retreat. As they deduce that Carolyn asked for knowledge about the web-shooters to design a nanosuit for Spider-Dog, and discover that Buster had consumed the Super-Soldier pill which Carnage lost, Peter and his friends (including Harry Lyman) volunteer to look after Buster. Doing so, Peter, Gwen, Miles, and Anya also acknowledge and become impressed with Buster’s high level of intelligence and reputation, and with the four and their teammates growing close to Buster. During a walk, Peter and Buster find clues about the new Hobgoblin, who is revealed to be Russell Osborn, the biological son of Norman Osborn who was sentenced to Ravencroft after having been subjected to an unstable Oscorp formula which physically enhanced him, but at the cost of his sanity. Spider-Man and Spider-Dog stop Hobgoblin’s rampage in Central Park, and pursue him into his lair, where they discover that Hobgoblin is planning to subdue citizens with a pack of robotic wolves. Spider-Man fights Hobgoblin, distracting him long enough for Spider-Dog to communicate with and control the robot wolves, commanding them to turn against Hobgoblin and destroy his lab, including the cloning resources Hobgoblin stole from Jackal, and to be self-destructed. As Hobgoblin retreats, Spider-Dog reportedly joins the Champions, while Buster is adopted by Peter and his family. Meanwhile, a mysterious child boy who shares Spider-Man’s powers dons a prototype of the Spider-Man suit, and swings around New York, drawing Russell’s attention. In a mid-credit scene, Professor Wang also learns of the child boy’s existence, and exacts to help solve the case, as she is revealed to have the metahuman ability to manipulate and transform matter through physical contact.
3 Sibling Dynasty Peter and Gwen Stacy discover a child boy who shares their same powers, and has a strong connection with them.
Unable to deduce the identity of the mysterious child boy but noticing that he acts like Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider, Russell hires Kraven the Hunter to hunt down and capture him before his brother Aaron does. Meanwhile, Peter and Gwen are training Buster until the three sense the lingering presence of “another spider” in New York City, and investigate. They are confronted by Kraven, who plans to use the pair to lure the child out of hiding, but Kraven is soon attacked and defeated by the child boy, who dubs himself “Spider-Boy”. Following Spider-Boy into the lab where he came from, Peter and Gwen discover that Spider-Boy is a hybrid clone made of their blood-samples, which Raymond Warren / Jackal stole from Horizon High following the Man-Spider incident[6], and created Spider-Boy for his attempts to discover Spider-Man’s identity, and replace his deceased daughter Sarah[7]. Acknowledging that Spider-Boy shares not only their physiology, but their minds and partial memories as well (which led to him turning against Jackal, and destroying his lab), Peter and Gwen agree to keep him safe from Hobgoblin. The three are discovered by Professor Wang, who (aware of and supportive of their superhero aliases) offers to help them protect Spider-Boy, while advising the pair that “another Jackal” is hunting him. Growing tired of Kraven’s failures to track down Spider-Boy due to the Champions (who had learned of Spider-Boy’s existence, and agreed to help protect him) constantly defeating Kraven wherever he goes, Russell dons the Hobgoblin suit, and exacts to capture Spider-Boy personally. Using a Life Model Decoy disguised as Spider-Boy, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider lure Hobgoblin into the Brooklyn Bridge, and confront him and Aaron (who operates as the psychopath Dark Jackal). Seeing everything through his LMD, Spider-Boy (recalling his visions of Peter fighting in memory of Uncle Ben) decides to help Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider, and the three defeat the deranged brothers, who are unmasked and exposed to the public. As the Osborn brothers are declared wanted fugitives and forced to go into hiding, Spider-Boy is congratulated for his bravery before meeting Aunt May, to whom he reveals that he has no name or official home. Unmasking him, Aunt May sees Spider-Boy as a good child, and names him Ben, with Peter and Gwen accepting him as their “little brother”. As Ben joins the Champions and is welcomed to the Parker family by Aunt May and Teresa, Peter and Gwen thank Professor Wang for her help, before she reveals her true self as the Eternal sorceress Sersi. In a mid-credit scene, Russell is met with his agents Josh Richardson and Zoe Zimmer of the Discord Gang, who have found and captured Flint Marko / Sandman[8]. Russell confidently begins thinking of his plans with Sandman, whose daughter Penny sees everything in horror through her father’s tracking devices.
4 A Fantastic Meeting Peter uncovers more astonishing secrets, while battling alongside the world’s greatest superheroes.
In 1943, Sersi and her fellow Eternals Ikaris, Shang-Chi, and Eros the Star-Fox helped Captain America and Doctor Stephen Strange on a mission to stop Red Skull from using the Tesseract to summon the Kraken, an octopus-like Deviant from Planet Zero, to become the “Champion of Hydra”. In the present day, Peter overhears from Sersi about her past before overhearing news about reckless, self-proclaimed “new hero” named “Stone Boy”, whom Spider-Man and Tigra recognize as former Midtown High School classmate Seymour O’Reilly, who was given his powers by Meredith Midas with a Super-Soldier serum designed in Midas Industries. While he and his teammates agree to keep O’Reilly in check, Spider-Man also volunteers to help Captain America, Sersi, and the Fantastic Four stop Hobgoblin, who is seeking resources for Red Skull’s interdimensional machine. During which, Peter and Mary Jane sense that an unknown entity is observing them and their universe. While befriending Jack Thompson / Speed, Cassie Lang / Ant-Girl, and Groot, Ben / Spider-Boy encounters Penny, who pleads for help in saving her father from Hobgoblin. Seeing through Penny’s memories, Tigra informs the others of the location of Hobgoblin’s lair, where Hobgoblin plans to use Sandman’s energies as a battery for his machine (which is made of technology stolen from Doctor Doom and Hydra). Spider-Man and the heroes battle Hobgoblin’s henchmen (including the Discord Gang, and the renegade members of Oscorp’s Vulture Force). The battle becomes more intense when Doctor Doom (seeking to retrieve his stolen technology) and Dark Jackal arrive to attack both sides, and Stone Boy (seeking to win the heroes’ approval) tries to join the fight. Spider-Man defeats Hobgoblin, and frees Sandman, while Captain America and Mister Fantastic work to contain the out-of-control machine, and Iron Man and Tigra defeat Doctor Doom, and banish him back to Latveria. Dark Jackal soon provokes Stone Boy into trying to destroy the machine directly, inadvertently causing an interdimensional wormhole to open and engulf Captain America and Mister Fantastic, to the shock of superheroes and citizens watching on live television. Stone Boy tries to fight back against Dark Jackal, who outsmarts him and unmasks him to the public. In a mid-credit scene, Captain America and Mister Fantastic are in another dimension, where they meet four superheroes from alternate timelines.
5 Heroes and Menaces Stone Boy faces the consequences of his recklessness, while Peter and Mary Jane Watson embark on a rescue mission.
As their teammates and other heroes hunt for Stone Boy (who is now on the run for supposedly betraying Captain America and Mister Fantastic, and after Dark Jackal exposed his identity), Peter and Mary Jane are monitored by Carlie Cooper, Sersi, Nick Fury, and Doctor Strange on their goal to travel into the dimension Captain America and Mister Fantastic landed on, while Miles and Harry suspect that Dark Jackal played a role in the creation of the serum responsible for O’Reilly’s Stone Boy powers. Meanwhile, Captain America and Mister Fantastic are in Planet Zero with the alternate heroes (consisting of a Super-Soldier version of Peggy Carter dubbed Captain Britain, a corrupted version of Doctor Strange dubbed "Strange Supreme", a teenage version of Loki, and a younger, but bitter version of Hank Pym who became Yellowjacket), who are forming a resistance movement against an older, more ruthless variant of Otto Octavius / Doctor Octopus (dubbed "Lord Octopus") who rules Planet Zero with his Octobots, and a brainwashed Kraken. Peter and Mary Jane arrive on Planet Zero, and battle their way through, during which they learn of Hobgoblin’s plan to bring interdimensional beings from Planet Zero to form his new, more powerful army from an Octobot, and are assisted by their universe’s secret observer Uatu the Watcher, who advises the pair that they must destroy the Kraken to end Lord Octopus’s rule over Planet Zero, and ensure that they can escape with Captain America and Mister Fantastic. Avoiding the heroes attempting to apprehend him, Stone Boy begins entering a berserker state which causes him to attack anything which moves in his sight. Miles and Harry discover that the berserker state is a trait from the serum, which Dark Jackal corrupted with his own blood-sample while infiltrated in Midas Industries. The two eventually confront Dark Jackal, and defeat him, neutralizing Stone Boy, and allowing the heroes to insert the antiserum on him. Spider-Man and Tigra encounter the heroes, who assist them in the battle against the Kraken. Strange Supreme and Yellowjacket sacrifice themselves to weaken the monster, allowing Spider-Man to impale its heart with Sersi’s dagger, killing it. Tigra notifies Sersi and Strange of the Kraken’s death, and they open the portal to summon Spider-Man, Tigra, Captain America, and Mister Fantastic back home with Carter and Teen Loki. Elsewhere, Hobgoblin uses and activates a backup prototype of his machine, but unwillingly summons Lord Octopus, who begins to take interest in conquering the heroes’ dimension. In a mid-credit scene, Venom continues hiding from the authorities, until he senses Lord Octopus’s lingering presence, and decides to take action.
6 Rise of a Legend When Hobgoblin’s plans get out of hand, Peter stands tall to defeat an unspeakable, unbound evil.
As a powerless O’Reilly is taken to custody, Peter and his friends watch as Mordecai Midas faces a crowd of angry protesters until Peter senses Lord Octopus’s presence, as Lord Octopus invades a Midas Industries laboratory, and converts its technology to his own will, summoning an army of robots which go for a rampage in New York. As the rest of the heroes hold the robots off, Peter sets out to confront Lord Octopus himself, who voices his plans to conquer the heroes’ dimension in a way his counterpart failed to do. Meanwhile, Hobgoblin and Dark Jackal confront each other, and begin to fight over the dimensional device, until they are knocked unconscious by Tigra and White Wolf, who take the device to Modell and Anna Maria Marconi. Spider-Man engages Lord Octopus in a fight across the city, eventually taking place in the New York sector of Life Foundation. Right after Venom joins the fight, Lord Octopus empowers himself with his version of the Venom symbiote, which is soon absorbed by Venom, causing him to be engulfed by a black hole. Despite Lord Octopus using another serum made of the Kraken’s DNA to transform into a mindless octopus-like monster, Spider-Man still manages to outsmart and defeat him, and revert him back to his human form with the antiserum, also disabling Lord Octopus’s tentacle harness, and his control over the robots, which are soon destroyed by the Champions and Avengers. In the aftermath of the battle, Hobgoblin and Dark Jackal are arrested under S.H.I.E.L.D. custody, Lord Octopus is brainwashed by Teen Loki, who returns with him to Planet Zero, and Captain Britain decides to stay on the heroes’ dimension to become England’s new local superheroine. Spider-Man is hailed for his efforts, and awarded the honor of “Hero of the Year”. Next night, Peter and his friends hold a dance in Stark Expo, with Peter dancing with Mary Jane. In a mid-credit scene, Venom awakens on another planet, where he is chained up and confronted by Thanos, who has personal uses for him.[9]
