Mantyke are a trio of Pokemon species that appeared in both the Pokemon games and the Diamond and Pearl anime. They first appeared in Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea, while one of them makes a major appearance.

Mantyke has had various voice actors throught its appearance, both Japanese and English. Its first voice actor was Daisuke Sakaguchi, who voiced it in Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea.

His voice work as Mantyke is only heard in the Spanish-translated versions of the Pokemon games from "Diamond and Pearl" onwards. The regular versions of the games had no voice acting for the Pokemon and instead had electronic Pokemon cries. This is the first time Frances has done voice work since the Phuuz dub of Doraemon, due to strict indentity laws that forced him to end his career before he landed the role of Mantyke. |
