Ever since the release of Ocarina of Time 3D, the game has been under speculation for three years. In A Link Between Worlds, the Majora's Mask itself could be found on wall your house. This hinted that there would be a Majora's Mask remake for the 3DS.
Differences from Original
The first difference from the original game are the graphics. The look the exact same as the graphics in Ocarina of Time 3D. Also being able to equip up to four items instead of three. The Ocarina is also shown at the bottom left of the bottom screen of the 3DS. So the player can tap it instantly to play it. Also, times of the day run a little slower than usual, while the text runs a little faster.
Like Skyward Sword, Wind Waker HD, and A Link Between Worlds, the game also contains a Hero Mode. It is exactly like the Hero Mode in Wind Waker HD. It is available at the start, and can be changed at any time from the file select screen. In Hero Mode, Link takes twice as much damage, and won't find recovery hearts at any point in the game, so he has to potions and faries to recover health.
