Legend of Zelda: Heroes of Hyrule is an animated adaptation of the critically-acclaimed Legend of Zelda video game series by Nintendo, developed by DHX Media with animation by Studio B Productions. This animated adaption has better voice-acting and character development that its precessor, along with vivid high-quality animation. It is non-canon to the games itself, but borrows elements and concepts from them.

Link: An unlikely hero, this young boy is devoted, loyal and courageous, yet adventurous and inquiring at the same time. He welds a sword in his left hand that leaves a good strike or blow to anyone who messes with him, along with a strudy metal shield and a cozy green uniform with a matching knit hat.
Zelda: A lively tomboy princess who lives with her father in the kingdom. As she is old enough to serve and care for herself, she watches over the land from danger. She's wise, kind-hearted and tough when she needs to be, as she possesses magic given by the goddesses to fight evil. She entrusts Link to help get all the scattterd pieces of the Triforce back together, while developing a strong friendship.
Ganon: A fierce beast, he is feared and disliked by all on the surface world. He resembles a bipedal pig-like monster with human qualities, aside from mastering dark magic and the forces of evil. His desire is to obtain the Triforce as well, but for his own needs to take over the world and destroy everything, yet is it unlikely as the heroes always manage to outwit his plans.
Epona: Link's entrusted steed, a horse from a neighboring ranch that has been enstrusted to her rider after being taught a special song. Link cares for her in the stables, and will always ride upon her to get going on a journey.
