  • Originally, Mufasa wasn't appearing in the film, but James Earl Jones reprise his role instead.
  • The first Kung Fu Bear film to be released in 3D and it was also presented in digital 3D footage.
  • Piglet was originally going to appear, but was cut, if he did, Piglet's voice actor Travis Oates reprise his role.
  • The only Kung Fu Bear film to be presented in 2.40:1 aspect ratio, the widescreen showing more and more picture on the sides.
  • Disney/Pixar prepared a special trailer for Kung Fu Bear 2 to show before Up, during its initial theatrical release. The screenings were later attached to G-Force and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
  • The knife that Shere Khan is holding is Clayton's knife from Tarzan.
  • The dragon costume puppet that Kenai and his friends hide is the dragon costume puppet from Mulan.
