Jurassic World: A New Era is an upcoming American live-action science-fiction film that serves as a sequel to Jurassic World: Dominion and the overall storyline that began in the original film, Jurassic Park (1993). It will be directed by Jace Dorion, Produced by Gareth Edward, and written by Steve Spielberg and David Keilberg.
The film is set to be released on June 10, 2026. It was announced that the film was the first of a new trilogy.
Synopsis[]
Six years after the events of Jurassic World: Dominion, the Earth was proven to be largely inhospitable for dinosaurs, but those remaining now exist in a massive island, Ile Saint-Hubert, around isolated equatorial environments because the climates there resemble the one in which they once thrived. Until a deadly disease emerged, from unknown sources, killing about 50% of the human population. Now a team of mercanarys and palaeontologists go on a mission to get DNA from the three biggest dinosaurs on land, sea, and air to make a cure for the disease until they got in a ship wreckage with a civilian family whose boating expedition was capsized by marauding aquatic dinos. Now they get stranded on the island, filled with dinosaurs. Now they must work together to survive and get off the island, until they discover a dark, shocking, and sinister secret that was hidden from our world.
Plot[]
In 2008, a incident took place on Ile Saint-Hubert, a massive island located in the Atlantic Ocean, 226 miles east in the French Guiana where InGen conducted crossbreeding experiments at a secret research facility. The incident started with a Snickers wrapper getting stuck in an airlock to the door of the pen of a dangerous mutant, the Distortus Rex. Scientists were inside of the pen getting samples from the dinosaur when the doors started initiating emergency closure. All were able to get out to evacuate, all except a scientist named Williams, where another scientist tries to help get him out, until the Distortus appeared behind him. The other scientist leaves the door closed and the deadly mutant grabs and kills the scientist.
19 years later, in 2028, Earth's environment has been proven to be inhospitable to the de-extinct dinosaurs. Until a deadly disease emerged, from unknown resources, killing about 50% of the population of humans, causing panic around the world. Much of the species, and some from the old Biosyn Sanctuary, now live near the equator. On a massive island, Ile Saint-Hubert, is the last place on Earth resembling the prehistoric environments in which the dinosaurs once lived. Martin Krebs was in a traffic jam in New York, caused by rogue dinosaurs, escaped from a zoo, about three adult Apatosaurus, and Stygimoloch, and a herd of Nasutoceratops, and an aggressive Ceratosaurus in a big street. Whilst in traffic, operation expert Zara Bennett was able to sneak into Kreb's car. The two talk about a secret upcoming mission that Krebs and his employer PGPE had recruited her for. Zara said he was easy to find. Eventually he mentions about her previous mission and she, for some reason, leaves the vehicle. Krebs followed her to the Brooklyn Bridge Park after parking the car. They talk about a mission to Ile Saint-Hubert, a former InGen R&D facility, now a sanctuary for the de-extinct dinosaurs. Krebs mentioned that the mission is illegal and they could face criminal prosecution, then revealing that a civilian is on the mission, although the civilian doesn’t know this yet. He promises that Zora would be paid a high amount of money for the mission.
The two then head to a nearby museum where Dr. Miguel Loomis is closing on the dinosaur expedition due to low attendances. Dr. Loomis had advised Parker-Genix on Paleodioxin, a drug intended to cure the deadly disease using dinosaur DNA. Whilst there, Krebs mentions Zora’s mother. However, Zora says she doesn’t like talking about personal issues. After Miguel tells the Zora and Krebs that which dinosaurs they need blood samples from - the Titanosaurus from the land, the Mosasaurus from the sea, the Quetzalcoatlus from the air - Zara is surprised to learn that they need samples from living creatures. While there, Krebs was able to convince Miguel to come along.
The next day, Zara, Miguel, and Martin travel to Paramaribo, Suriname, where an herd of Brachiosaurus, and Parasaurolophus were seen migrating through a river, and an Allosaurus was seen being carried in a cargo ship, and flocks of Pteranodons fly by, and a Dunkleosteus corpse was found by fishermen. They to recruit Zara's old friend, Duncan Kincaid, and arrange transportation. They meet Duncan at a local bar. He refuses to help them, but Krebs agrees to double Zora’s pay and she will distribute the money evenly with Duncan and his crew. Duncan then agrees to take them to the island. They also meet Bobby Atwater, the chief of security for The Essex, and leave for the island. Meanwhile, Reuben Delgado takes his two daughters Teresa and Isabella along with Teresa's boyfriend, Xavier Dobbs on a sailing trip across the Atlantic Ocean, when they are shipwrecked by the Mosasaurus. A few hours later, the crew approaches Ile Saint-Hubert to get the first of the blood samples from the Mosasaurus, M142. while traveling, Zora and Duncan talk about their pasts and then eventually get a few miles away from the Mosasaurus to extract the blood. However, they hear the Delgados' mayday signal, and Duncan diverts the boat to rescue the stranded family. The Delgados question why the crew are there, but no one tells them why. The crew then see they are close to the Mosasaurus and prepare to extract its blood. Zora is able to successfully extract blood from the Mosasaurus with help from Henry.
Suddenly, the Mosasaurus returns to attack the boat accompanied by a group of Spinosaurus, demonstrating symbiosis, and a mysterious boat with enemy rivals of Zara's team, led by James Lockwood. One of the Spinosaurus kills Bobby after he fired darts at them. Knowing the boat is going to crash, Zara and Miguel prepare to secure the supplies. Teresa tries to call the radio for help but Martin attempts to stop her, resulting in her falling off the boat. Xavier jumps in after her, followed by Reuben and Isabella. Duncan is able to lose the Mosasaurus in the shallow waters after a chase and instructs everyone to jump off the boat. The team swims to the beach with Zara and Miguel pulling the supplies from the sea. Nina, a crew member, attempts to pull supplies on the beach, but is ambushed by another Spinosaurus. Everyone witnesses her demise but are unable to help her. Sometime later, Zora argues with Krebs about the island, which they learn that it was an R&D site for Jurassic World, and states that he didn’t tell them everything. The team then leaves the beach and heads into the jungle. After a while, the team crosses a swamp, where they see a herd of Ouranosaurus and Apatosaurus pass by, while seeing a pair of Therizinosaurus, eating with their claws from the trees. Zora asks Krebs if he had anything to do with Teresa falling overboard. Krebs says he doesn’t know what happened and denies that he had anything to with her falling. While in the swamp, Zora feels something swim near her leg and tells everyone to be careful. An eel lunges out of the water and startled him but is unharmed.
The mysterious boat with the mercanaries, stops at the northeast docks of the island. James Lockwood, the ruthless leader of his own team, reveals the plan that his employer called him and ordered him a new mission, to capture dangerous mutated dinosaurs and follow Zara's team to let them get the samples and then they will steal the cure and sell the patent and get it's high profits as his bonus.
The Delgados swim through an underwater cave and arrive at the island. Reuben commends Xavier for showing bravery by jumping in after Teresa. While searching for the abandoned InGen settlement, and even startling a mixed herd of Parasaurolophus and Maiasaura. Isabella befriends a Aquilops, which she names Dolores. At night, Xaiver heads to the forest to use the bathroom, and two rivaling pairs of Utahraptors and Velociraptors stalk him, only for one of them to get ambushed by a Mutadon, a mutated raptor-pterosaur hybrid.
A aggressive male Carnotaurus was eating the corpse of an Iguanodon, until being captured by James and his team to be used as a tamed weapon as part of their capture list, along with two Allosaurus and three Baryonyx.
The Delgado family then find a river with a half-eaten Parasaurolophus, though they see a flock of Pteranodons leave, and startle a pair of Pachycelophosaurus. Teresa swims to the side of the river and finds a raft in emergency shelter, which she slowly pushed towards the river. However, a pack of Dilophosaurus emerges from the undergrowth. Just as they were about to spit venom at Teresa, something causes them to flee in fear, a male adult Tyrannosaurus Rex along with it's mate beneath the bushes. Despite Reuben and Xavier warning her not to, Teresa opens the raft, which awakes the adult male to get a drink from the river. All of them rush to the raft and paddle away as the Tyrannosaurus pursues them downriver. The family are only able to escape by hiding beneath some rocks, causing the male Tyrannosaurus to lose interest.
Several hours later, the team were shocked by a massive flock of Gallimimus passing by in a valley. Then the team tracks a herd of Titanosaurus in a valley. They are amazed by the sight of the giant herbivores, along with other herbivores gathered in a watering hole, like Parasaurolophus, Edmontosaurus, Triceratops, and Stegosaurus, and Sinoceratops, and fellow sauropods like Brachiosaurus. They also watch a pair of Titanosaurus mate. Miguel and Zara are able to extract the Titanosaurus' blood successfully and move on to the Quetzalcoatlus, where they would have to extract a sample from an egg as the Quetzalcoatlus is a large and dangerous flying carnivore. As the team prepares to enter the nest, they notice there is an ancient temple with unknown origin, where Duncan encounters a flock of Anurognathus. Zara, and Miguel and LeClerc rappel down the cliffside, and they begin extracting blood from an egg. However, an adult Quetzalcoatlus arrives at the nest and attacks them. LeClerc, who was on the side of the cliff, is able to distract the pterosaur. He attempts to climb up the cliff with assistance from Krebs and Duncan, but is swallowed whole by the Quetzalcoatlus before he can reach the top.
While in the temple, Miguel is thrown from the cliffside. He is able to activate the parachute on the extractor, but his rope breaks, sending him falling straight into a pool, where he lands in a pond while emerging to startle a pack of Compsognathus away from him. Zara rappels down the cliff and they regroup with Krebs and Duncan, who arrive from a secret passage. Sometime later, the team observed the abandoned compound and see the helipad. They proceed to the compound, and Krebs and Zara argue about the family, with Krebs wanting to leave them and get to the helicopter. Zara grabs the samples and walks away from him. The team then arrive at the gas station.
Miguel and Zara and Duncan get ambushed by James's gang and team, along with the captured male Carnotaurus, two Allosaurus, and three Baryonyx, and the Delgado family that they captured. Teresa was angrily asking on where Krebs is. Krebs was revealed to be James's s unknown employer, who contacted them to get the carnivorous dinosaurs they needed, and the samples to sell the cure for high profits. Zara asks why they were here for the dinosaurs, which Krebs reveals that a war for the cure will foil and cause a debate for the bid of the cure, while waiting for the helicopter. Then Isabella interrupts them that she hears something, until a mixed pack of Utahraptors, and Velociraptors surround the three group. They were all of a sudden spooked away from the conversation. Then the compound's power turns back on.
Suddenly four Mutadons appear and attach the groups, one chasing Miguel and Duncan, the second one chasing Zara and Krebs and James and the Delgado family, while the other two kill and chase off James's men, freeing the male Carnotaurus, and two Allosaurus, and three Baryonyx, back into the wild of the island. The Delgados hide inside the convenience store, while Zara and Krebs and James remain outside. One Mutadon enters the store through a hole in the ceiling but the Delgados are able to escape through an underground tunnels. Zara then runs to a jeep parked outside near the refueling area of the gas store and hides underneath alongside Krebs and Lockwood. Krebs shoots at the other Mutadon but fails to do any damage. Zara is able to grab the gun from Krebs, who is then thrown for one side of the vehicle to other. Zara stays under the jeep but Krebs see the rescue helicopter, grabs the keys and starts the vehicle. The rescue helicopter circles the island, which Zara said it would hover for two minutes. Miguel is able to get their attention with a flare gun, but the D. rex emerges from the fog and destroys the helicopter. Zara witnesses the Mutadon enter the tunnels via the drain, then shooting and killing it. The survivors come across the exit but can’t open it as the other Mutadon finds them. Isabella is able to squeeze through the bars and opens the gate despite the D. rex lurking in the background. They escape from the second Mutadon, and Zara kills it by shooting it in the tunnels.
Miguel and Duncan walk through the lab, tanks contain mutated dinosaurs made by InGen to entertain people' interests. Miguel see the D. Rex walk by the door of it's pen in the facility, which then he sees the rescue helicopter. Then he tries to get the helicopter's attention to prevent them from leaving them behind, until the D. Rex emerges from the fog, with the rescue helicopter in its mouth and it throws it away, destroying it which explodes and Duncan and Miguel go down to the tunnels to meet Zara and the Delagdos family too.
When Krebs and Lockwood was trying to dock to get to the boat, an herd of Ankylosaurus walked in front of their car, making them swerve out of the way. Then they get stopped by the massive mutated Tyrannosaur, Distortus Rex.
James attempts to escape, but gets stopped by Miguel, causing both to physically fight near the edge of a cliff and then Miguel was able to knee-kick James off the side of the waterfall, falling and hitting the cliffside to his crushed death, where a adult Majungasurus eats his remains.
After closing the gates, the group witnesses Krebs getting devoured by the D. rex. Krebs' severed hand falls to the ground alongside the briefcase, which Zara was able to grab the briefcase. The survivors then head to the docks and start to figure out how to access the boat which is on a crane. However, the D. rex arrives. Duncan lures it away with a flare, and with Reuben's help, Zara was able to successfully get the boat into the water. They all board the boat, where Zara calls out Duncan's name, until an adult Spinosaurus, the one illegally cloned on Isla Sorna back in 2001. The Spinosaur fights the D. Rex where the male Tyrannosaur, Tiger, joins the Spinosaur fight against the deadly mutant and they kill the lethal and deadly mutant by snapping it's neck, killing it and they roar victorious .
They are able to escape the D. rex and eventually find Duncan in the sea and rescue him. Zara and Miguel decide to give the cure to the world without a patent to be able to save humanity from going extinct from the mysterious disease. They watch a pod of dolphins swim by as the sun rises above them.

Trivia[]
- This is a re imaginable scenario of Jurassic World: Rebirth, but better and it’s got more dinosaurs and a better plot and added some scenes we wished to see in the Rebirth (2025) film.
- Ile Saint-Hubert was declared a global island sanctuary after the dinosaurs, on the mainland, were dying off or dead. It was revealed that some species from Biosyn Sanctuary, 11 specifically, and some from the main land were transported to the island since the public interest was reducing and the dinosaurs were still an endangered protected species.
- The film has marked the return of Asset 87, the Spinosaurus, in the end, from the previous Jurassic Park films and the only known character to return from the previous films, and it appears as one of the only two dinosaurs to interact and fight against the Distortus Rex, alongside the male Tyrannosaurus, Tiger.
