Jumanji: The Last Level is an upcoming American fantasy adventure comedy film directed by Jake Kasdan, and co-written by Kasdan, Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg. It is a sequel to 2017's Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and 2019's Jumanji: The Next Level, the third follow-up to 1995's Jumanji, and the fourth installment in the Jumanji franchise. It stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Alex Wolff, Morgan Turner, Ser'Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Awkwafina, Rory McCann, Danny DeVito, Bradley Pierce and Kirsten Dunst reprising their roles from the previous films, while Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele and Tika Sumpter also join the cast.
Like in the 1995 original Jumanji, the game releases jungle-based hazards into the real world.
Spencer, Fridge, Martha and Bethany team up with their former avatars in order to save the city of Brantford from chaos and defeat Jurgen the Brutal, who turns out to be Peter Sheperd. Peter has been stucked in Jurgen’s body since his childhood, when he found once again the board game on a beach and played with his sister. Peter/Jurgen walks past the Parrish mansion which reminds him of who he really is.
Bravestone is angry at Spencer because he took from him his revenge against Jurgen. The teenagers have to convince Bravestone not to kill Jurgen after realizing he is just a child who has been trapped in this role for too many years.
With the help of Bravestone, Roundhouse, Oberon and Finbar, Spencer, Fridge, Martha and Bethany finds Judy Sheperd, who has lived alone since the tragic disappearance of her brother, just like Sarah Whittle in the original Jumanji film. Judy reunites with her beloved brother and manages to reason him by taking him to Alan Parrish’s grave.
The Brothers Kababik come to the real world too and declare war on Jurgen for not marrying their sister. She, a deadly assassin, hunts down Peter/Jurgen to marry him.
The confident Bravestone and Roundhouse learns humility with Spencer and Martha while the sidekicks Finbar and Oberon becomes the heroes they always dreamed to be with the help of Fridge and Bethany. Alex meet McDonough and thanks him for keeping him alive when he was trapped in the game.
The teenagers and the avatars manage to defeat the Brothers Kababik and beat the game once and for all. They return to the Parrish mansion where an aged Peter awaits them and reunites with his sister Judy after explaining he returned to 1996, thus allowing him to grow old. Bravestone and Roundhouse decide to stay in the real world to travel around the globe while Oberon and Finbar, who respectively started a romantic relationship with Ming Fleetfoot and Gwendolyn Kababic, return to Jumanji to protect its people.
In a mid-credits scene, the Jumanji board game transforms into Zathura : A Space Adventure.
