George Kusunoki Miller[N 1] (born September 18, 1993), known professionally as Joji Miller, is a Japanese-American musician, comedian, author, and former actor. Miller began his career portraying eccentric and oddball characters in comedy films such as After School Special (1997), The High School Movie (1999), and Asian Dudes (2002).
Miler began his television career with The Filthy Frank Show (2007–2011), on which he played the title character among various others. The show quickly garnered attention on the Internet and helped Miller's career take off. He also starred in its sequel film The Filthy Frank Movie (2013). His final film role, Mike Wu from Your Face (2016), won him the Academy Award for Best Actor.
Early life and education[]
Miller was born on September 18, 1993 in Osaka, Japan to a Japanese mother and an Australian father. He moved to Brooklyn. New York City at the United States in late 1996, and attended the Brooklyn High School of the Arts. He graduated from the New York Institute of Technology in 2004.
