John Alberto Leguizamo Peláez (/ˌlɛɡwɪˈzɑːmoʊ/; born July 22, 1960 in Bogota, Colombia) is a Colombian-American actor, voice actor,

stand-up comedian, film producer, singer, songwriter, musician, playwright and screenwriter. He came to prominence with a co-starring role in the infamous 1990s Science fantasy comedy Super Mario Bros. and a supporting role in the crime drama Carlito's Way (both released in the year of 1993). Other kinds of recognizable roles include Sid the Sloth in the Ice Age franchise (2002–2016), Bruno Madrigal in Disney's Encanto (2021) and the narrator of the television sitcom The Brothers García (2000–2004). As now, he has appeared in over 75 films and counting, produced over 10 films, starred on Broadway in several productions (winning several awards), made over 12 television appearances and has produced or starred in many other television shows, regardless of medium.
