Jim Button and the Wild 13 is a 2028 American computer-animated adventure fantasy comedy film produced by Warner Animation Group, RatPac-Dune Entertainment, Atomic Monster, Animal Logic and Michael Ende Productions and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and written and directed by James Wan and based on the 1963 novel of the same name by Michael Ende. It is a sequel to Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver (2025). The film stars Blake Cameron James as Jim Button, with Hugh Jackman and Rosalie Chiang as Luke and Princess Li Si respectively. The story follows the adventures of Jim Button and his best friend, Luke the Engine Driver, from the island of Morrowland. Jim, now older and more experienced, learns of his true origins and sets off on a quest to find his birth parents. The journey is perilous as they face the notorious pirate gang, the Wild 13, who seek revenge on Jim and Luke for past grievances. The film was released on May 12, 2028 and received highly positive reviews for its animation, direction, visuals, cinematography, voice acting, characters, humor, musical score, emotional depth and faithfulness to the source material and was nominated for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Score at the 101st Academy Awards.
