Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver is a 2025 computer-animated adventure comedy fantasy film produced by Warner Animation Group, RatPac-Dune Entertainment, Atomic Monster, Animal Logic and Michael Ende Productions and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film was written and directed by James Wan and based on the book of the same name by Michael Ende. It stars Blake Cameron James, Hugh Jackman, Rosalie Chiang, Helena Bonham Carter, Ryan Kwanten, Leigh Whannell, Jeff Goldblum, Simon Pegg, Margo Martindale, Chin Han, Izaac Wang, Ronny Chieng, Leonardo Nam, John Bradley, Seth Green, Nick Kroll, Danny McBride, Ben Schwartz and Thomas Middleditch and follows the titular characters as they embark on an adventurous journey through fantastic worlds to free the kidnapped Princess Li Si from the impenetrable Dragon City and solve the secret of Jim's mysterious origins. The film was released on March 14, 2025 and received positive reviews for its animation, visuals, direction, voice acting, characters, humor, musical score, representation and updates to the source material. A sequel, Jim Button and the Wild 13, was released on May 12, 2028.
