Jay is the mascot of the Jetix channel brands. He served as the mascot for Toon Disney's Jetix block. When the Jetix block (along with Toon Disney) was replaced by Disney Channel's sister channel, Disney XD, he embarked on a trip. He returned from his journey upon learning about Jetix Network, which launched on March 23, 2010, and he has been its mascot ever since.

History[]

Jay, a well-mannered mascot, was born on February 14, 1999, in Toon Nursery. As he developed new skills, improved his conduct, and became more sociable, he grew into a well-trained and smart character. In his later years, he moved to Jetix City (rebranded as Jam-Packed Town in 2015), home to several television characters from Toon Disney's Jetix block.

On February 14, 2004, Jay made his Jetix debut, appearing in the show's bumpers and promos until 2009. After the Jetix block ceased broadcasting on February 13 that year, he continued to visit his Jetix friends.

Jay stayed with his friends until November 16, 2009 when Disney announced the rebranding and revival of Jetix under the name Jetix Network,. Since March 23, 2010, he has been the mascot for Jetix Network.

Appearance[]

Jay is a unique silver cat-like creature with one black eye and a red outline. Despite his small size and the absence of a mouth, hands, or arms, he possesses the ability to make sounds, eat food, and perform various tasks like a human. Additionally, he's a skilled dancer.

After the launch of Jetix Network, he gained the ability to speak. Jay is not limited to his cat-like appearance; he can transform into various forms, as seen in the bumpers for Jetix and Jetix Network, by briefly sprouting his legs. Furthermore, he can fly, as demonstrated in the first Jetix All-Stars film.

Personality[]

Jay is a quick-witted and intelligent mascot known for staying out of trouble most of the time. He's well-trained and always ready to defend his friends in times of danger. Despite his positive outlook, he easily becomes bored when there's nothing to do, so he often explores various activities to keep himself occupied.

In addition to his adventurous nature, Jay is a confident part-time gamer, as evident in his appearance in the second Jetix All-Stars film, where he's seen playing on the Jetix Power console.

While he generally maintains a positive attitude, he can be brutally honest when needed, as demonstrated in Jetix Network's 3-hour special, "Jetix All-Stars and the Beanstalk."

Jetix / Jetix Network[]

In both Jetix and its revival, Jetix Network, Jay remains in his regular silver physique without wearing clothes.

Jetix Network's Nighttime Hour[]

In Jetix Network's Nighttime Hour, he wore a blue nightcap with stars.

Jetix Network Kids Cup[]

In Jetix Network’s Kids Cup, he sported a grayish blue soccer uniform with the number "1" printed on it.
