Jab

Jab is an American boxing video game. It is developed by Rockstar San Diego and published by Rockstar Games, being released for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 16th, 2020.

Synopsis

Set in the bustling city of Rockerdale, an aggressive college student has learned of how skilled he is as a boxer, deciding to train himself to become stronger as he begins to go through the ranks of underground street fighting and soon professional boxing as well.

Main

• Kyle "Jab" Dakota (voiced by TBD) - an aggressive and anger prone college student who sometimes lets his anger take control as he decides to let it out in boxing, initially starting in underground fights before slowly becoming more and more mainstream.

Supporting

• Sally Dawson (voiced by TBD) - an aspiring model and dancer who is Kyle's roommate as she begins to be enamored by him, eventually starting to date him as well.
• Frank "The Paragon" Rose (voiced by TBD) - a former boxer who retired after an injury regards him unable to fight as he becomes Jab's trainer, wanting to not have him repeat his mistakes.
• Dean "The Dinosaur" Danvers (voiced by TBD) - Kyle's friendly rival who becomes his sparring partner as he is quite aware he can't become a champion but believes with the right push, Kyle can.
• Alanna Lake (voiced by TBD) - a fight promoter who is known for her aggressive tomboyish behavior as she sets up illegal street fighters with her being how Kyle gets his start in boxing.

Antagonists

• Steven "Predator" Abbott (voiced by TBD) - an egotistical and cruel professional fighter who is the champion of the Platinum Belt, as he becomes the last boxer Kyle has to face before he wins the belt.
• Juan "El Coyote" Suarez (voiced by TBD) - a strong and cold coyote themed street boxer who wears a coyote mask as he gains a rivalry with Jab, being the last boxer he faces before becoming professional.

Gameplay

The game is an open world game set in Rockerdale as you play as Kyle Dakota, with Rockerdale being a massive city you can explore. The game's main mechanic is the fighting as you have a light attack, medium attack and a heavy attack as well as a dodge. The mechanic is used for both professional boxing matches and street fights that you can either get into during the story or as side missions to get some cash. The fighting mechanic is also used for specific story or side missions where your character gets jumped. The game also has multiple side activities you can do including buying clothes and numerous part time jobs.
