In the Land of Imagined Things is the upcoming American musical fantasy adventure drama film produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Chernin Entertainment directed by Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise in his first live-action project film, screenplay by Allison Schroeder and Evan Spiliotopoulos and story by Jennifer Lee and Pamela Ribon, It is the second combination with live-action and traditonally 2D hand-drawn animation and reboot verison of the 1946 film Song of the South as the same and based on the same name of the book Uncle Remus by Joel Chandler Harris starring James McAvoy, Rebecca Ferguson, Bobby Cannavale, Eddie Redmayne, Ralph Fiennes, Colin Farrell, Sam Neill, Jennifer Garner, Jamie Lee Curtis with the voices of Zach Galifianakis as Brer Rabbit, Zendaya, Ken Jeong as Brer Fox, John Goodman as Brer Bear, Matt Lucas, Kit Harington, Julie Walters with Peter Capaldi and Jude Law as Brer Wolf.

The film has been released on November 22, 2023 (before Thanksgiving) by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

This is the only film is completey currently traditonally hand-drawn animation by Walt Disney Animation Studios for using 2D animated characters along with the live-action characters and backgrounds are both instead of the CGI animated characters.

The visual effects were provided by Cinesite, Framestore and Rise FX

Prinicipal photography on In Land of Imagined Things commenced in August 2021, at Pinewood Studios in United Kingdom and concluded in December 2021.

The first Disney film is fully live-action and traditonal animation (hand-drawn) after 6 decades and centuries of Pete's Dragon (1977).
