Hilda: The Songs from the Show is a soundtrack album released on December 6, 2024 by BMG Rights Management, containing all the original songs featured in the animated series Hilda by many artists. It also features a few new original songs recorded specifically for the soundtrack.
Background[]
A soundtrack album for Hilda was considered after production concluded on the show. Luke Pearson explained the reason for the album's creation, saying: "I think it would be a great treat to compile all the songs these fantastic artists created into a full-length album."
On May 4, 2024, the official Hilda social media accounts posted a video that included a faint image of the album's vinyl format and a date saying "7/1/2024" before cutting off abruptly.
On July 1, 2024, the album was announced on all social media, saying that tracks from the show are being incorporated into a new compilation album scheduled to release in December to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Hilda's conclusion. It also said that it will feature three previously unreleased original songs, all of which would eventually be revealed as "Tulips on a Sunny Day" by Walter Martin, "Final Shot" by Stereolab, and "Free" by Kishi Bashi.
