Hellbound Academy (Alternatively known as Hellbound High and Kid Lucifer) is an adult stop-motion fantasy comedy film directed by Helluva Boss creator Vivienne "VivziePop" Medrano. A somewhat satire to Disney's teen flicks, the film follows a teenage boy from earth who lost his memory attending a high school in hell where he must find a way to get back only to falls in love with the principal's daughter. It's the second adult stop-animated film to hit theater since Hell and Back.

Premise[]

Simon Sinner, a dean of Hellbound Academy wants to make the best for his daughter before graduation and moving on with his life. But things started to change when a human teenager from Earth was sent to Hell without any memories. When he and his best friend Zeke must hide the human from campus and the public, he enrolls the teen to the school for the semester where he must learn about the environments and inhabitants of Hell, fit in with the other students, and fall in love with his daughter.

Voice cast[]

  • Alex Wolff as Carter Baldwin, a teenage lost soul from earth, trapped in Hell as a Sinner without any memory. He later attends Hellbound Academy by Simon to hide his real identity until he meets Ruby and falls in love with Ruby.
  • Kelsey Grammer as Simon Sinner, a demon dean of Hellbound Academy School and an overprotected father to his daughter Ruby who attends school there. He was once a right hand to the devil.
  • Arielle Carver-O'Neill as Ruby Sinner, Simon's sensitive daughter and a student of Hellbound Academy who hasn't fulfilled her purpose as a demon her father wanted her to do. Her appearance is similar to Charlie Magne from Hazbin Hotel.
  • Vince Vaughn as Zeck, Simon's best friend and a imp-like teacher of Hellbound High.
  • Zac Efron as Josh Grime, Ruby's childhood sweetheart and the main antagonist of the film. He's Hellbound's popular student. His appearance is based on Alastor from Hazbin Hotel.
  • Joel Tobeck as Booker Grime, Josh's father and the Judge for Pentagram City.
  • Noah Schnapp as Boomer, a cyclop-like demon and the first friend Carter makes whn he enroll to Hellbound High.
  • Lena Waithe as Zulla, a transgender centaur and one of Ruby's friends who teaches Carter how to ride horses. He's always flirting and making sexual remarks to him.
  • Dana DeLorenzo as Dawn, a female jackal demon dress as a punk rocker and Ruby's close friend who is street-smart and short-tempered. She falls for Leslie and flirts' with him for his skills.
  • Jordon Peele as Troy, a buff-looking hellhound and one of Josh's friends who serves the high school football team. He soon becomes friends with Carter for helping him out.
  • Keegan-Michael Key as Zill, a black arachnid-like demon who is Troy's befriend and secret love interest.
  • Sam Marin as Jinx, a demon lynx-cat who suffers from anxiety and panic attack.
  • Misha Osherovich as Leslie Baldwin, Carter's eccentric/queer brother who like to draw pictures of anthropomorphic animals.
  • David DeLuise as Mr. Baldwin, Carter and Leslie's father.
  • Toni Collette as Mrs. Baldwin, Carter and Leslie's mother.
  • Jack Black as Dennis, Leslie's best friend and a metalhead.
  • Macaulay Culkin as Dustin Peck, a 17-year-old roughneck who's sexist and anti-Semite. He bullies Leslie for his sexuality (torts his artwork).
  • Marilyn Manson as Beth, the school's superintendent and a goat-headed demon.
  • Nick Kroll as Bronson, a sociopathy demon clown.
  • Ted Raimi as Ghoulash, the school janitor who always gets killed on the job. He's similar to Kenny from South Park.

Trivia[]

  • Some of the cast in the film were from Ash vs. Evil Dead.
  • This is the second computer-animated film with a R-rated to hit theater since Sausage Party.
  • There will be some Easter eggs referencing VivziePop's other works.
    • The characters from Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel will make a cameo.
  • Some of the characters' appearances are similar to the ones from Hazbin Hotel.
  • This will be VivziePop's fourth animated project set in Hell. However, this will be different:
    • Being the first animated project to hit theaters.
    • Trying to have a light-hearted moment while keeping in touch with its dark humor.
