Grotesque is an upcoming 2020 Horror-Comedy film directed by Kevin Greutert and produced by Jason Blum, it is an American remake of the controversial 2009 Japanese splatter film of the same name.
The movie was released on October 30th, 2020 and was a moderate financial success, making $15,875,400 on its opening weekend and $30,468,660 worldwide on a budget of $10,000,000.
Synopsis[]
Aki and Kazuo, a young couple who have both just met, get snatched off the streets by a mysterious doctor, it only gets worse for the two love-birds, as their captor conducts sadistic experiments on them.

Critical Response[]
This movie has mixed reactions from both critics and audiences alike, Rotten Tomatoes gives a 46% to the film claiming this consensus: "While the special effects in this film are rather impressive, "Grotesque" is pretty much an hour and 30 minutes of nothing but gore and cheap jumpscares, and on top of that, follows a rather confusing plot line". This movie currently sits at a 5.9/10 rating on IMDb.
