Preshow and The Mystery of the Missing Creatures[]

Dashi: Attention! The music will play how many minutes to showtime! Please enjoy the wonderful sights of the Seafire Grill!

(While The Hall of the Mountain King aka The Tiger is playing ending with a tiger's roar, Captain Barnacles gives his spiel)

Captain Barnacles: Hi everyone! It's me, Captain Barnacles. George and his friends are getting the animals all set up, so we should be starting the show real soon. (laughs) Oh! I forgot. Just a little reminder to everyone, please wait OUTSIDE of the restaurant until you are seated and ready to dine. Thank you.

(The Bartered Bride, Polka, JB 1:100 aka the Tropical Bird and Dance of the Comedians aka The Monkey plays while Shellington gives his spiel)

Shellington: Hiya, everybody! It's me, Shellington! (Laughs) We’re almost ready to go, so hope you enjoy the show! Please be sure to refrain from smoking or using flash photography inside the show. Video recording cameras without any lights are okay. But please, stop using flash photography. Even the smallest flicker can startle a sloth or a chameleon, and we want happy performers! Okay? Thanks.

(While the rest of the monkey's music is playing, Owl gives his next spiel)

Owl (Little Bear): Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to George Boggs' Wildlife Odyssey, seating for the next show will begin in a few minutes, please remember to take small children by the hands, and be sure to remain calm. There’s nothing to worry about. Thank you.

(After the monkey's music, The Bartered Bride, Furiant, JB 1:100 aka the Squirrel, Anitra's Dance aka The Fox plays followed by Peer Gynt Suite No. 2, Arabian Dance, Op. 55, Grieg aka Bear., Serenade No. 6, 3rd Movement, Mozart aka Sea Turtle, The Moldau, Hunting Scene, Smetana aka Whale, Water Music, Suite No. 3 in G, Gigue aka Dolphin, Water Music, Suite No. 1 in F, Passepied, Handel aka Fish, Concerto in A Minor, RV356, 1st Movement, Vivaldi aka Penguin. And then Dashi tells the guests that the show begins in 10 minutes.)

Dashi: Here comes the last music on ten minutes to showtime!

(Symphony No. 4 in A Major aka Italian, 1st Movement, Op. 90, Mendelssohn aka Elephant, Excerpt from the Norwegian Dance in G Major, Op. 35, No. 3, Grieg aka Zebra, Piano Concerto No. 1, 2nd Movement, Mendelssohn aka Hippo, Etude No. 5 in G-Flat, "Black Keys", Chopin aka Cheetah, Symphony No. 9 in E Minor (New World), 2nd Movement, Op. 95, Dvorak aka Giraffe, Vltava, Ma Vlast, JB 1/112, No. 2, The Moldau, Scene, Smetana aka Lion, and finally, after the lion music, Animal Families in 43 seconds in A major is heard along with multiple spiels)

Dashi: (while Animal Families is playing) One more minute to showtime!

(After the last music is done in the queue, Captain Barnacles gives his spiel)

Captain Barnacles: Hey everyone, Barnacles here!

Shellington: And Shellington as well!

Captain Barnacles: We are so proud to welcome you to George's Wildlife Odyssey today! These are important safety instructions for you. Shellington if you please?

Shellington: Okay. First, when entering the show, please continue all the way across to the end of your row as possible. Stopping in the center row is a bit unnecessary, second, do not attempt to walk while seeing the animals behind you, you may stumble and frighten but suddenly, you may trip a vulture! They have very sharp claws! So don’t do it, okay? So don’t do it, okay?

Captain Barnacles: Thank you, Shellington. Now, the wildlife, prehistoric creatures, mythical animals, livestock, and domestic pets will all go in the show first, and then you guests here will soon be admitted.

Dashi: Video recording cameras without any lights are okay in the show. Thank you.

Captain Barnacles: That's right, Dashi! Photography without lights will be allowed, so you're welcome.

Shellington: Okay, here they come.

(We hear a gong bang. All of the animals from Noah's Ark and creatures from around the world, mythical animals, the prehistoric periods, zoos, aquariums, and farms cross from right to left of the queue, trampling over Shellington but the 100 animal dancers enter the Seafire Grill)

Shellington: Will someone please take over for me? I need an immediate structural assessment of my shell!

Kwazii: Sure thing, Shellington. Ahoy there, mateys! It's me! Your pirate Kwazii! (laughs) Are you ready for the show? That's great, and you know why? Because I'm getting ready to open these built in automatic doors.

Dashi: Ladies and gentlemen, please stand clear of the doors, Kwazii will be opening them toward you.

Kwazii: Alright everyone, you heard Dashi! For those of you near our show entrance, please stand away from the color bars and behind the yellow line, and clear of the doors because when I push the button, they're gonna open towards you. Now, uh, where'd that button get to? Oh, there it is! (laughs) Ready? Here we go!

Scarlet Macaw: (squawks) Come along folks, it's showtime! Time to feather your nest in the best seat!

(The guests walk inside the show)

Kwazii: Oh, hi everybody! Now that you're here, go ahead and pick a row you want to sit in, and keep stepping until you're all the way across. That's right, matey. Keep on moving! (cellphone rings) And for your safety, please don’t make any LOUD noise until someone tells you, okay? Thanks. For all of you coming in, thanks for filling in all the available seats. And all of you going out, thanks for making the seats available. (laughs) If you're still coming in, it's great to see you! If you're bringing in any popcorn or sugary treats, please save them for AFTER the show! We can't have the animals getting a whiff and mistaking our audience for a snack bar! Once those doors open, we're going on a wild adventure!

Iris: (being heard) Now it's time to choose a row and move yourself all the way across from A to Z with EVERY animal name, so you can fill up all the empty seats. (Loudly) Take your seats, NOW! Don't forget you're sitting in alphabetical order with every animal's name! A through G is the first row! H through N is the second row! O through Q is the third row and R through Z is the last row. I'll be there with everyone else!

Kwazii: All right everyone, you heard Iris, show her how it's done! (a cougar sound is heard) Whatever that noise just was, summoning his 100 animals is George Boggs, and anyways, do not stop in center row, continue all the way across please. Aye, being a pirate sure is fun. Iris? Serena? Valerie? Little Bear? George? Everyone else? Yoo-hoo! HEY GUYS! Yaarrgh, wonder where they went? (humming the tune of Introduction and Royal March of the Lion, parrot squawks, Kwazii screams) Sorry, pal! (closes the door, opens the door, continues humming the tune of Introduction and Royal March of the Lion) Almost ready! Hmm. How'd it get unplugged? I know, I'll just plug one of them back in. (Kwazii plugs one of the cables back in, causing him to get electrocuted making him to scream, "YEOW!" in pain and thuds, birds twittering) Whew! That's better. (walks off the room and closes the door)

(George Boggs and his friends appear onstage)

Iris: Everyone, One hundred animals will be arriving here any minute, and we wanna make them feel welcome when they get here. So we’re gonna need your help.

Clemont: since this is SeaWorld Orlando, and we are surrounded by animals, but guess what? We should greet them like animals.

Serena: Yes! To start off our pep rally, each of us will lead one of the ten animal sections. Let’s see here… Yes! I’ll take the lions, tigers, swans, dolphins, vultures, bears, camels, crocodiles, wolves, and whales. Korrina, show us how to start with the King of the Savannah!

Korrina: All right, everyone. I’ve got my new friend (female name), and she’s gonna help us demonstrate and give you guys her best lion imitation. All right, (female name), let’s see those paws up. Now let’s hear that roar! (volunteer roars) How ferocious! All right, turn around. You’re gonna help me show the rest of the people. Guys, you get the idea. Let me see those paws up, and on the count of three, let me see those lions. One, two, three! (lion roars are heard) Now that’s a lion!

Goh: Next are tigers. Tigers are the LARGEST cats in the world! They use their stripes to blend into the shadows of the jungle. I have [NAME] here all the way from [STATE]. All right, [NAME], you’re here. Now, let’s listen to the call of a tiger. (volunteer calls like a tiger) That's a powerful tiger! Now, don’t forget. Turn around, [NAME]. Everyone, get ready on the count of three, let’s snarl like tigers! One, two, three! (tiger snarls are heard) Wow! That's so scary!

Misty: Let's try the swans. Swans are excellent water fowl. Let's listen to to the call of a swan. (volunteer calls like a swan) Wow! That's nice. Everyone, get ready on the count of three, let’s sound like swans! One, two, three! (swan honks are heard) Wow! This is it!

Lana: Next we have dolphins and vultures as aquarium and aviary. I’ve got my new friends (female name) and (male name), and they're gonna help us demonstrate and give you guys their best dolphin imitation and vulture imitation. All right, (female name) and (male name), let's listen to our next two animals. (volunteer squeaks and volunteer screeches) Wow! All right, turn around. You’re gonna help me show the rest of the people. Guys, you get the idea. Let me hear squeaks and screeches, and on the count of three, let me see those dolphins and vultures. One, two, three! (dolphin squeaks and vulture screeches are heard) Now that’s the next two!

Kaban: Now we want to hear three different sounds that mean serious business! Bears, camels, and crocodiles! Bears hibernate, camels store fat in their humps, and crocodiles... well, they just wait! Come on up, (female name), (female name) and (male name)! They're gonna help us demonstrate and give you guys their best bear imitation, camel imitation, and crocodile imitation. All right, (female name), (female name) and (male name), let's listen to our next animals. Try it! (volunteer growls, volunteer bellows, and volunteer hisses) That’s the sound of three animals from the forest, desert, and outback! All right, turn around. You’re gonna help me show the rest of the people. Guys, you get the idea. Let me hear growls, bellows, and hisses, and on the count of three, let me see those bears, camels, and crocodiles. One, two, three! (bear growls, camel bellows, and crocodile hisses are heard) Nice!

Kyururu: Okay, okay, my turn! I’m next! I love singing, and wolves are like the opera singers of the mountains! Everyone, this is my new friend [NAME], and she’s gonna demonstrate for us the sound that a wolf makes. Ready? Okay, [NAME], wolf! Go! (volunteer howls) We’ll take it! Great job! Now turn around and we’ll do it together, okay? All right, wolves, let me hear you howl really loud! (wolf howls are heard) Yikes! That's so scary! I'm off but I better go check on my polar friends! (She runs offstage)

Lillie: Our last animal is the whale. Whales are the largest animals in the world! Come on up, (male name)! He's going to to do a whale sound really really LOUD! Try it! (volunteer calls like a whale) How majestic! Let me listen to the loudest whale call, and on the count of three, let me see those whales. One, two, three! (whale calls are heard) This is one MASSIVE creature.

George Boggs: Very well. And now that you know your ten animal sounds, I think we’re all set. Watch us - we’ll make sure you’re cued and ready to go. I think we’re all set to meet them!

IRIS: Wait a minute! I don't hear them! Not even a single hoot, squawk, or meow!

GEORGE BOGGS: (Squints at the stage wings) Hmm. That's odd.

BOOTS: Where are they?

SERVAL: One hundred? Where is everyone? Even I can't sense any... one hundred in the wings. I can, however, detect a faint smell of refined flour and sugar.

CARACAL: (Tapping her shoe) This is highly irregular! An animal show with no animals is just... a show!

SKIPPER: (Jumping to the center) This has all the hallmarks of a classic Clandestine Animal Escape! Kowalski, analysis!

KOWALSKI: The 100 animals have implemented an organized, albeit messy, breakout! They've left one clue: a single, sticky, sugary substance. My readings indicate... Doughnut Glaze!

CLEMONT: (Gasps) Officer Clawhauser’s doughnuts! My prototype was right! They were too enticing! The scent signature is powerful enough to lure a Bengal Tiger!

Korrina: Hey, everyone, I think I hear them coming!

Alexa: Wonderful! Right on time! Okay, everyone, let’s use those sounds to call them in. All together…

George Boggs and his friends: (to the viewers) One, two, three!

(All ten animal sounds are heard as George Boggs and his friends rush offstage)

I. Opening & Missing Friends (Act 1)[]

(The audience finds the creature dancers under their seats.)

ANNOUNCER (Voice Over): Hello, ladies and gentlemen, lions, tigers, and bears, and welcome to George's Wildlife Odyssey. We kindly request that you refrain from smoking or using flash photography but feel free to dine and drink in the Seafire Grill. Okay, everyone. Get ready to clap your paws, stomp your hooves, ruffle your feathers and I wanna hear you roar! Say hello to the host of our show: everyone’s favorite friend, George Boggs and his friends on stage!

(MUSIC: Pictures at an Exhibition: Promenade (arr. C. Simpson for orchestra) - 43 seconds. George Boggs and his friends enter the stage, waving excitedly.)

GEORGE BOGGS: Hey, guys! George Boggs here! We are so excited to see you all ready for my Wildlife Odyssey so let's get this...

(George is interrupted by his friends.)

ASH KETCHUM: Whoa, whoa, wait up, George!

MAX: Hold on a minute! Where are they?

BROCK: Yeah, the stage looks awfully empty.

MISTY: It's supposed to be 100 animals! And Kyururu too!

GEORGE BOGGS: What?! My 100 animal friends and Kyururu are missing?! But the show is about to start!

CLEMONT: According to my calculations, that means we have a whole lot of looking to do, fast! A delay of this magnitude is entirely unacceptable for a production of this scale!

SERENA: Oh dear, maybe they just got caught in traffic? Or perhaps they stopped for a practice? No, wait, they're animals. Zoo animals mostly.

LILLIE: Oh, how terrifying! Missing creatures! Do you think they wandered off to find some rare berries? Or maybe they're just shy?

BONNIE: Don't worry! If they're lost, we can always invent something to track them! Clemont, do you have a "Missing Mammal Finder" yet?

CLEMONT: (Adjusting his glasses) The "Omni-Species Tracking Device" is still in prototype, Bonnie, but I have a theory! They must have followed the delicious scent of Officer Clawhauser’s doughnuts!

CHIEF BOGO: (Stepping forward, adjusting his uniform) Doughnuts are a distraction, Cadet. This is a matter of public safety! Officer Wilde, Hopps, are you documenting this scene?

NICK WILDE: (Scoffs) Relax, Chief. It's not a crime scene; it's just a classic case of pre-show jitters. Maybe they’re hiding to see who can find them first.

JUDY HOPPS: We need to prioritize, Nick. One hundred animals means ten times ten different habitats to check. We need a plan.

KING JULIEN XIII: (Leaping onto center stage) Plan? I, King Julien the Thirteenth, shall lead the royal search! My feet will glide, my tail will swish, and my eyes will spot them all! Maurice, prepare the royal fanfare for the triumphant return of the creatures!

SKIPPER: (Pushing Julien aside) Negative, Ringtail. This is a classified operation. Kowalski, analysis! Where would a hundred performers go right before curtain?

KOWALSKI: (Flipping through a small notebook) Based on known behavioral patterns for stage fright, delayed meal service, and potential unauthorized reconnaissance missions: The highest probability is... The first habitat on the schedule.

PRIVATE: Ooh, so we check the Savannah first! Good thinking, Kowalski!

KION: (Stepping up with Fuli and Beshte) The Circle of Life is about balance! We can't have a show without the animals. The Lion Guard will help! We'll use the Roar to... gently encourage them to come back.

FULI: No roaring, Kion. It’s a show, not a scare tactic. But I can run ahead and scout the area. Huwezi!

BUNGA: (Beaming) Zuka Zama! Let’s find the animals! I'll check under all the rocks!

SUPER SEMA: Don't worry, George! We'll use our smarts to find them! My Super Power is ready to track!

DORA: We need to find the animals! Where should we look first? We need to check our Map! (Holds up a simple drawing of the stage areas.)

BOOTS: Ooh, ooh! Map, map, map!

DIEGO: The Map says the first stop is the Savannah!

BOOTS: That's right, Diego.

IRIS: The Savanna is the biggest part of the show. Let's start there! We need to make sure they're all there, from the smallest gazelle to the biggest elephant!

GEORGE BOGGS: Together, we need to find all 100 animals from the Savannah to the Polar Regions! This is going to be a Wildlife Odyssey just to find them! Let’s go! (George Boggs and his friends go offstage)

II. Wildlife Journey - Savannah to Aviary[]

LIKO: (Looking up) I see something! Is that a Sloth? It’s moving... incredibly slowly.

ROY: It's practically a statue! How are we supposed to encourage a Sloth to be on time for a show?

NICK WILDE: (Watching the air) Look, guys! Look at those animals! They're hiding in the trees!

SERVAL: They think it's a game of 'Japari Hide and Seek!'

KABAN: (Pointing to a prop tree) Look! Mrs. Tiger is camouflaged! And Mr. Gorilla is mimicking a jungle vine! We need to lure them out!

GOH: I know! The sound of a rare jungle rooster with a siamang! (He imitates a rooster call extra loud like Peter Pan ending with a siamang's whoop.)

KORRINA: Fifty animals found! We’re halfway there, but the Forest, Desert, Outback, and Mountains are still empty! And Kyururu is still missing!

CHLOE CERISE: (Checking her tablet) I'm cross-referencing our data! The last known location of the Mountain animals was near a very high point, possibly looking for a better Wi-Fi signal.

MAYOR WIND DANCER: (Trotting forward) Worry not, citizens! My tracking abilities as a horse are unparalleled! We shall gallop to victory in Act Two!

Intermission and Act 2 (Wildlife Journey - Forest to Mountains)[]

(Intermission plays as the guests enjoy the dining. After the intermission, but during the dining, George Boggs and his friends appear behind fifty animals.)

GEORGE BOGGS: Welcome back! We found fifty animals today. But fifty more animals and Kyururu are STILL missing! We've got to find them. Kaban! Where to next?

III. Polar Regions & Rescue[]

(The stage transforms into the Polar Regions. George's friends and the now 90 found animals enter.)

GEORGE BOGGS: We found all the animals except the ones from the Polar Regions! And Kyururu is still missing!

IRIS: This place is freezing! How can the animals even survive out here?

CLEMONT: Well, the Arctic Fox possesses a magnificent thermal-insulating coat, and the Polar Bear has a thick layer of blubber! It's a natural marvel of biomechanical engineering!

SERENA: That’s interesting, Clemont, but it’s still cold! Kyururu must be completely chilled.

JESÚS THE BASILISK: (Shivering intensely) You have no idea! I’m a basilisk, I need warmth! I’m pretty sure I’m going to turn to ice right here!

DR. FUZZBY THE QUOKKA: (Cheerful despite the cold) Think positive, Jesús! The cold air is excellent for preserving the freshness of my medicinal licorice root!

NIBBLES THE BEAVER: (Trying to build a small wooden fire) I'm trying to start a dam, I mean, a fire, but the wood is too wet! Where’s a good patch of dry ice when you need it?

(MUSIC: A simple, slow piano introduction starts for a moment.)

GEORGE BOGGS: Wait... is that singing?

(Kyururu enters, singing "Hello" by Lionel Richie as a 4-minute and eight second solo. She is on the ice floe.)

KYURURU (Australian Accent):

I've been alone with you

Inside my mind

And in my dreams I've kissed your lips

A thousand times

I sometimes see you

Pass outside my door

KYURURU (Cont.):

Hello!

Is it me you're looking for?

I can see it in your eyes

I can see it in your smile

You're all I've ever wanted

And my arms are open wide

'Cause you know just what to say

And you know just what to do

And I want to tell you so much

I love you

(As Kyururu sings, the seal, albatross, walrus, caribou, polar bear, arctic fox, puffin, muskox, penguin, and whale gather around her. The Polar Bear is on the ice floe.)

KYURURU (Cont.):

I long to see the sunlight in your hair

And tell you time and time again

How much I care

Sometimes I feel my heart will overflow

KYURURU (Cont.):

Hello!

I've just got to let you know

'Cause I wonder where you are

And I wonder what you do

Are you somewhere feeling lonely?

Or is someone loving you?

Tell me how to win your heart

For I haven't got a clue

But let me start by saying I love you

(Kyururu sobs and sits alone on the ice floe. The seal, albatross, walrus, caribou, polar bear, arctic fox, puffin, muskox, penguin, and whale watch her sob and calm down as George Boggs and his friends are yelling, "Kyururu!" "We're coming!" "We'll get you from the ice floe!")

KYURURU (Cont.):

Hello!

Is it me you're looking for?

'Cause I wonder where you are

And I wonder what you do

Are you somewhere feeling lonely?

Or is someone loving you?

Tell me how to win your heart

For I haven't got a clue

But let me start by saying I love you

(Kyururu finishes the song slowly in A major note, a little weak, and collapses after the ice floe is cracked. The Polar Regions animals look distressed.)

GEORGE BOGGS: Kyururu! She’s in trouble!

(William Tell Overture, The Storm by Rossini is heard softly as the albatross flies around the stormy sky, then the music becomes dramatic as Kyururu falls into the water as the seal, albatross, walrus, caribou, polar bear, arctic fox, puffin, muskox, penguin, and whale react in horror and swim around Kyururu.)

KORRINA: (shouting loudly) GET YOUR FRIEND OUT OF THE WATER! DON'T LET YOUR WHALE SWALLOW KYURURU!

SIMBA: (Roaring with concern) We must act quickly! Nala, form a path with the Caribou!

SKIPPER: (To Kowalski) Deploy the emergency rubber raft! Wait, we don't have one! Improvise, men!

PRIVATE: (Using a penguin’s natural slide) I'll slide across with a rope! (He fails dramatically but is grabbed by Korrina with a rope and Korrina tosses the rope to Kyururu.)

SUPER SEMA: (shouting loudly) ALL TOGETHER NOW!

(George Boggs, Super Sema, and the main friends along with the 100 animals rush to her. The Whale rescues Kyururu from the icy water and onto snow. After William Tell Overture, The Storm by Rossini ends with a B major chord, Kyururu is laying down.)

CLAWHAUSER: (tearfully sobbing over Kyururu) Please, Kyururu! Speak up! Speak up!

KORRINA: (sobbing with tears) No! No!! Wake up! Open your eyes!! Please, answer us! (wails like Rafiki and the lionesses from The Lion King Musical and collapses)

GARY DE'SNAKE: Kyururu! Listen to us!

(The Albatross and Vulture dancers circle around Kyururu. Kyururu starts breathing loudly and the Albatross and Vulture dancers back away slowly and stop next to the Zebra and Jaguar.)

KORRINA: Kyururu? Kyururu, can you hear me?

VALERIE: Wake up. Wake up.

(Kyururu wakes up after she breathes.)

VALERIE: Kyururu!

GEORGE BOGGS: You're all right!

(George's friends started clamoring in wild excitement)

KORRINA AND SIMBA: (happily) YEAH!

YAX: (Sighing) Oh man, that was almost a total bummer, duude. Glad you're chill, Kyururu.

CHIEF BOGO: (Clearing his throat, trying to hide emotion) Cadet Kyururu, next time, notify a commanding officer before engaging in unauthorized ice-floe musical theatre!

KYURURU: (Weakly, but cheerfully) I just wanted to practice my song for the finale! And the animals were my audience! We found the last ten animals! (She points to the Polar Animals who nod.) Thank you, guys!

GARY DE'SNAKE: (sobbing in excitement) She's safe!

GEORGE BOGGS: All right! We picked all 100 animals as our gang and Kyururu!

(Coyote and Wolf dancers howl in excitement.)

KYURURU: I'm okay!

GEORGE BOGGS: What was going on, Kyururu?

KYURURU: Well, me and the animals were on the ice floe. I sang solo but I fell down into the water. Luckily, you saved me, guys! Thank you! (She hugs George Boggs tightly)

GEORGE BOGGS: Well, let's get this finale started!

IV. Grand Finale & Exit[]

(All 100 animals are now on stage with George and his friends.)

(MUSIC: Carnival of the Animals, Finale (from Fantasia 2000). This is a massive dance number. The Numberblocks and Wonderblocks characters lead a final flourish of choreography. The whole cast bows.)

(George Boggs and his friends go down from the stage to the auditorium floor.)

GEORGE BOGGS: (Center stage) We did it! We had a Wildlife Odyssey adventure, and we found all 100 animals, plus Kyururu! Thank you all for coming!

Kwazii (Voice Over): Your attention, please. We ask that all honorary creatures remain seated so the monkeys, otters, armadillos, and numbats may exit safely.

ASH KETCHUM: This was a bigger adventure than any battle!

(The Monkeys, Otters, Armadillos, and Numbats begin clamoring underneath the seats scrambling out.)

MONKEYS (Walking away): Excuse me! Coming through!

ARMADILLO (Walking away): Little room here. How about it, huh?

Captain Barnacles (Voice Over): At this time, gather up your personal belongings and take your children by your hands as you exit.

GEORGE BOGGS: You heard the announcer! Thanks for helping me find all 100 animals. Now please exit carefully out of the Seafire Grill and have a wonderful day in SeaWorld Orlando.

IRIS: Remember your alphabetical rows on the way out!

(George and friends wave as the audience exits.)
