G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero (also known as Action Force in the UK) is a half-hour American animated television series created by Ron Friedman. Based on the toyline from Hasbro, it is a reboot of the 1983-1986 sunbow series of the same name, and will feature new episodes and new stories different from the original series, with some storylines being inspired by the original cartoon from the 80s. Also, most of the original voice cast will return for the series, with new voice actors and ones from other G.I. Joe cartoons joining as well. The show will air on Discovery Family.

The cartoon focuses on G.I. Joe, an elite counter-terrorist unit formed to combat the threat of the evil Cobra Organization. Plots generally centered on a Cobra plot or invention, and the Joes' efforts to stop the plan.
