Furgrounds is a 2019 American computer-animated crime comedy film directed and written by by Nicholas Stoller, William Richard Smith, and Edgar Wright, It stars the voices of Freddie Highmore, Peyton List, Hayden Rolence, Kevin James, Brad Garrett, Mark Wahlberg, Kristen Bell, Whoopi Goldberg, and Patrick Warburton.

Produced by Amblin Entertainment, Mikros Image, Draft 2, and Savage Cat Studios, and distributed by 20th Century FoxFurgrounds was theatrically released in the United States on January 16, 2019 with 2D, Real-D 3D, and IMAX formats. It grossed over $178 million worldwide and received positive reviews. The movie was originally set for a release date of February 24, 2019, but changed to a release date of January 16, 2019 due to worrying competition with Disney's The Lion King Reborn. It is the first theatrically-released animated movie produced by Amblin Entertainment in a while since 1995's Balto and 20th Century Fox's non-Blue Sky animated movie since The Book of Life.


Alexander Howlburn is just an average teenage wolf until he joins a group of 3 called the Furgrounds, which consists of a badass female wolf, a know-it-all puppy, and an obese bear. Alexander later finds out that a mad business-man lion named Gordon is on a mission to create the world's biggest crime ever, So Alexander and his gang must stop until it's too late.

The theatrical trailer premiered on September 5, 2018 and is shown before Laff-a-Lympics and Batman Beyond.

The 2nd theatrical trailer premiered on November 6, 2018 and is shown before Big Hero 6: Project Titanitron, The Radical Teens, and X-Men: The First Charm.
