Friday Night Funkin' is a 2005 Action-Adventure Musical game developed by Cartoon Network Interactive and published by Midway Games based on the film of the same name. It was released for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable and Microsoft Windows, released on April 19, 2005.

The Seventh Generation version was released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii on November 22, 2005 and December 6, 2006.

A sequel, Friday Night Funkin' 2 released on May 25, 2012.

Release[]

The game was announced at E3 2004 with the gameplay of Boyfriend and release as a playable demo.

The game was released on April 19, 2005 for the 6th Generation consoles, PC and Handheld consoles.

Seventh Generation version[]

The Seventh Generation version of Friday Night Funkin' was released for the Xbox 360 in North America on November 22, 2005 as part of the Xbox 360's launch title and Europe on May 1, 2006 while PlayStation 3 and Wii were released on December 6, 2006 in North America and Europe on May 8, 2007.

There were differences and changes form the original and Seventh Generation version.

  • The Seventh Generation version added Multiplayer and Online mode with up to 4 players while original is a single player only.
  • The Seventh Generation version added 30 Achievements for 1000G Gamerscore while PS3 version supports trophies for 1,584 XP as an update on March 7, 2009.
  • Additional Cutscene was added in the Seventh Generation version.
  • The Seventh Generation version runs with 1080p, 720p and 480p in both HDMI and Video with Black borders Above and Below on Xbox 360 while PlayStation 3 only runs 1080p and 720p in HDMI format and 480p on video with black borders left and right.
