Transcript of the 2025 film Final Destination 7: Last Chance.

Part 1[]

(The New Line Cinema and Domain Entertainment logos play. Then fade in to a kitchen. We are shown a boy who is prepping his baggage. Cut to his passport, which displays his name, birthday, and other descriptors.)

TV: It looks like the weather will be nice today, so come out and put on some sunscreen.

(The phone rang.)

Marcus: Hello?

(Some chatter could be heard.)

Marcus: Yeah, I'm just about to leave. I just finished packing my stuff.

(More chatter.)

Marcus: No, I didn't pack last minute. Jenny, you know me.

(Marcus went out the door and walked over to his car. He opened the trunk.)

Marcus: Alright, give me a few minutes and I'll be there to pick you up.

(He closed the trunk.)

Marcus: Okay. See you later.

(He puts away his phone. Then he turns on the radio.)

TV: Although information is still coming in, we just received news that a train crashed in Cloverdale, New York just minutes ago. We believe that 68 people have been killed as the train plowed through the neighborhood.

(Marcus turns it off and takes a deep breath.)

Marcus: Okay, Marcus. Just calm yourself down.

(Marcus stepped on the gas pedal and drove away. Then cut to a girl who looks of Filipino descent, waiting on the sidewalk.)

Jenny: Jesus, what's taking him a while?

(Marcus' car finally pulls up right beside her.)

Marcus: Jenny! What's good?

Jenny: Took you long enough.

Marcus: I know. I just had to get gas.

Jenny: Sure you did.

(Jenny closed the door and puts on her seatbelt.)

Marcus: Have you told the others the time it'll leave?

Jenny: Yep. They said they're on their way.

Marcus: Good, good. Just makin' sure.

(Marcus pulled away. Cut back to the inside of his car. Jenny dialed someone on her phone.)

Jenny: Hello? Yeah, hi, Jamie. Yes, we're on our way now. What about the others? You, Simone and Martin are taking David's car, and Corey and Robin are taking the bus? Wait, wait, why are Corey and Robin taking the bus? Don't they have cars? Oh, they broke down. Okay. Well, it's nice to know they'll still make it in time. Good. Alright, catch ya later.

(Jenny puts down the phone.)

Marcus: Who was that?

Jenny: Oh, it's just my scammer. Who do you think I was calling? It was Jamie. He told me that the others will be there soon.

Marcus: Okay, lady. Just asking.

(Pan out as Marcus drove his car on a busy road.)

Part 2[]

(Fade to a parking lot, where Marcus drove and parked his car in it.)

Marcus: Well, here it is.

(Show a port with a ferry next to it.)

Jenny: Whoo, can't wait for this! It's gonna be exciting! Should we wait for the others?

Marcus: Yeah, obviously. We can't go without them.

(A bus pulls up to a stop and opens its door. Two other people come out of it.)

Robin: Thanks for the lift!

(The bus leaves.)

Robin: Hey, Marcus! Jenny!

Marcus: Hey, Robin!

Jenny: Hi, Robin!

Marcus: What's good?

Robin: Pretty damn well, if I say. You got your tickets?

Marcus: Never left home without them.

Jenny: Right here

Robin: Good. Corey here forgot his.

Corey: Robin!

Robin: I'm just messin' with ya. He has his.

Marcus: Okay.

Robin: You seen David and the others yet?

Marcus: Not yet. I was told he'd be here in a few minutes with Martin, Simone, and Jamie.

Robin: Well, tell 'em to hurry the fuck up. Or else we're going without them.

Marcus: Robin. Give them time.

Robin: Just sayin'.

Corey: Well, let's go inside, guys. It's getting cold out here.

Jenny: Agreed. Come on, Marcus.

(Corey and Jenny walked inside.)

Marcus: Robin?

Robin: Yeah?

Marcus: You ever get that nervous feeling where stuff goes wrong all at once? Because life's a bitch? And then you die?

Robin: What makes you say that?

Marcus: I don't know. Just something I always thought of.

Robin: Well, don't worry about that, scaredy-cat. I'm sure we'll be fine. Besides, they got professionals on-board. So if something does happen, we'll be out of there in no time.

Marcus: 'Kay.

(A sound effect is heard. Marcus and Robin turn around. They see a Challenger swerving in the parking lot.)

Simone: Oh my god, David! Stop!

(The car stops just in front of a streetlight. Four people got out.)

David: And that, my friends, is how a pro drives.

Jamie: What kind of "driving" was that? You could've gotten us killed!

David: Relax, Jamie. I know what I'm doing.

Martin: David, please. For the love of God, think before you drive.

David: I can't believe you all are p****es.

(David sees Marcus and Robin.)

David: Yo, Marcus! Robin!

Marcus: Hey, David!

(David, Martin, Simone, and Jamie walked over to Marcus and Robin.)

Marcus: Care to explain what you were doing with that car?

David: Oh, I'm just showing these three how a pro like me drives.

Marcus: Why?

Martin: Exactly!

David: Oh come on, don't side with them! Side with me!

(Marcus looked at Jamie, Simone, and Martin, who tried to say "no" via hand signals.)

Marcus: Just don't be scared, you guys. David knows what he's doing.

(David pumped his fist.)

David: See? Even Marcus thinks I'm good!

Jamie: Oh, damn you to hell, David. I hope you get grounded.

Simone: Hey, Jamie, calm down.

Jamie: No! He was driving all recklessly! He deserves to get told off by his parents! In fact, why don't I just-

(Robin grabbed Jamie by the arm.)

Robin: Jamie, relax. I'm pretty sure we'll be fine.

(Jamie is furious, but exhales.)

Jamie: Fine. I'm sorry, David.

David: Nah, you're good. I should've thought twice.

Simone: Anyway, where's Corey and Jenny?

Marcus: They're inside.

Simone: Alright. Come on, guys. Let's go. The ship won't wait for us.

(The six went inside. Meanwhile, Corey and Jenny were waiting in line.)

Jenny: What's taking them so long? The ship's gonna leave any minute.

Corey: I don't know.

(Corey's phone rings.)

Corey: Just wait right here, Jenny. I gotta take this phone call.

(Corey walked out of the line. Jenny looked around. She saw the ferry being prepared for departure.)

Marcus: Hey, Jenny. Where's Corey?

Jenny: He's answering a phone call. He should be back any minute.

Marcus: Alright.

Jenny: Hey, guys.

Simone: Hi, Jenny. You're not gonna believe what happened out there, but Jamie almost started a fight with David.

Jamie: Simone...

Jenny: What? Why?

Simone: Because David was driving recklessly on the way here, and Jamie wanted to teach him a lesson.

David: But, Jamie and I are on good terms now, right, Jamie?

Jamie: Yeah.

Jenny: Jesus... Jamie, all of that?

Jamie: You know how hot-headed I get very easily, right?

Jenny: Yeah, but still.

Robin: Guys, let's not worry about all that. What we should worry about is this awesome trip we're taking on this ferry! Whoop whoop!

(Everyone looked at him, including the friends.)

Robin: Sorry.

Martin: Yeah, that was a bit too much, don't ya think?

(Corey came back.)

Corey: Hey, guys. I'm back.

Jamie: Hi, Corey.

Corey: Hi, Jamie.

(The friends got to the desk and gave their tickets to the clerk.)

Marcus: Thanks.

(Marcus looks over and sees the ferry slanting over a bit. He then looks at his smartwatch displaying "3:00 p.m." on the screen.)

Martin: Looks like we're right on time.

(The passengers got on the ferry. Marcus looks around. He sees a male passenger dropping his sunglasses in the water.)

Passenger: Fuck!

(He ignores him. They all went inside. David sat on the seats.)

David: Oh, yes! The luxury...

Simone: Don't get yourself comfortable there, David. We're only gonna be here for half an hour.

PA: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard the New York-Stamford ferry. We're expecting smooth water currents on our trip, so just sit back and relax. Thanks for choosing us, and enjoy your ride.

(The ferry blows its horn and departs the port. Simone drank a bottle of water.)

Jenny: You know, I find it funny that we've lived in New York for a long time, and we didn't even get a chance to do this at all.

Jamie: Yeah. It's like déjà vu.

Marcus: Just don't talk about it too much, guys. Just be glad we're here.

(Marcus sat down. He exhaled. He looked around again.)

Marcus: (to himself) Something feels totally wrong here...

(Then, the deck shook.)

Jenny: What was that?

(The PA rang.)

PA: Ladies and gentlemen, sorry for the disruption. Everything is currently fine and our crew is working to fix the problem. Thank you and-

(The PA cuts off. The lights then go dark.)

Robin: Oh shit.

(A loud rumbling can be heard.)

Simone: Crap!

Crew member: Everyone, get to the back of the ship! Help is arriving soon!

(All the passengers were running out the deck except Martin, who was left behind.)

Martin: Guys, wait!

(Martin tried to get out, but is bludgeoned to death by a falling lamp. Meanwhile, the rest of the people managed to get to the deck.)

Marcus: Where are the others?!

Corey: I thought they were with you!

(Corey thought to look for them.)

Corey: Hold on, stay right there!

(Simone was nearly pushed off the ferry.)

Simone: Wait! Guys! I need some room- Whoa!

(Simone falls off and is decapticated by the ferry's propeller.)

Jenny: Simone!

(Jamie was also by the edge.)

Jamie: Ah, fuck! Gah!

(Jamie falls off the ferry as well, hitting a chair head-first, killing him. Meanwhile, Corey was inside the ship, looking for Robin and David.)

Corey: Martin! David! Robin! Where are you?!

David: We're right here, Corey!

(David and Robin were by a wall.)

Corey: Where's Martin?

David: He got hit by a lamp!

(A pillar cracks and crushes David.)

Robin: Shit! David!

(Water was rushing into the deck. An open wire fell into the water.)

Corey: David...

Robin: Corey, come on! We gotta go!

(As Corey was gonna go with Robin, he trips on a bottle, and falls into the water with the open wire, electrocuting him.)

Robin: Corey! Fuck!

(Robin ran to Jenny and Marcus.)

Marcus: Robin!

Robin: Marcus!

Marcus: Come on! Hurry!

(Marcus ran as fast as he could, but a wooden chunk splits his head open.)

Marcus: No!

(As the ferry begins sinking, an explosion occurs, killing Jenny, Marcus, and the rest of the passengers.)

Part 3[]

(Zoom out of Marcus' left eye, who was stunned over what he saw in his vision.)

Martin: Looks like we're right on time.

(Marcus looks over to the passenger who dropped his sunglasses in the vision, to which he did so.)

Passenger: Fuck!

(Marcus began hyperventilating and grabbed Jenny by the arm.)

Jenny: Hey? What are you doing?

Robin: Marcus, are you okay?

Marcus: We gotta get off this ferry.

Jamie: Why? We just got here.

Corey: Yeah. Plus, we paid for the tickets.

Marcus: Something bad's gonna happen. I know it.

(The others looked in confusion.)

Robin: What are you talking about?

Marcus: I saw it.

Robin: Saw what?

Marcus: This ferry's gonna explode.

Robin: The ferry's gonna what?

Marcus: We gotta get off this fucking ferry!

Jenny: Whoa, whoa, Marcus, take it easy!

(The other passengers looked at him.)

Marcus: No! I saw it! I saw it! It will explode! We gotta get off now!

Simone: What?

Marcus: Let me off!

(Marcus pushed Martin and Jamie out of the way and got off the ferry with Jenny.)

David: Sorry about him, guys. He's just being a little overdramatic.

(The others got off as well. Meanwhile, at the port...)

Jenny: Marcus, what's going on?

(The other friends caught up with them.)

Corey: Marcus, what the hell was that?

(Marcus exhaled.)

Marcus: I don't know how to explain this, guys, but... I saw the future.

Jenny: The future? Marcus, what are you going on about?

Marcus: The ferry, it... it exploded, we died, and... (sighs) that's pretty much it.

(Simone watched as the ferry moved away from the port.)

Simone: There they go, here we stay.

David: Do you realize how much money we wasted because of you? Now we can't even get back on, let alone get a refund!

Jenny: David, calm down.

David: You calm down! Marcus, I hope you're happy, because all of that time and money is gone! Down the drain! So why don't I-

(An explosion is heard in the distance. Everyone turned, seeing the ferry up in flames.)

Simone: Oh my god...

(Everyone looked at Marcus in horror.)

Jamie: How the hell did you...?

(Marcus didn't say anything, as police boats and firefighters come to the scene.)

Part 4[]

(Cut to an FBI room.)

David: I can't believe this, man...

Simone: Well, be thankful we got off before the ferry exploded.

Jenny: Yeah. Thanks to Marcus. Marcus?

Marcus: Yeah?

Jenny: How'd you know that was gonna happen?

Marcus: I told you, it just appeared in my eyes. And then, I saw it happen.

Jamie: Who or what sent you the vision?

Marcus: I don't know. It just randomly came up.

(A door opens. An agent walked through.)

Agent Davis: Hello, guys. I'm Agent Davis. I just want to ask you questions about the New York-Stamford ferry disaster. Starting with you in the grey sweatshirt.

Marcus: Who? Me?

Agent Davis: Yes, you. Come with us.

(Marcus got up and followed Davis.)

Marcus: Look, I don't know what's happening here, but please don't hurt me.

Agent Davis: I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to ask you questions. Is your name Marcus Brandon?

Marcus: Yes.

Agent Davis: Okay. First question: how did you know the ship was going to explode?

Marcus: I don't have an answer. I just saw it in my head.

Agent Davis: Are you, by any chance, affiliated with a terrorist group?

Marcus: What? No, I'd never be a part of such!

Agent Davis: Okay. Second question: why didn't you warn the rest of the passengers to get off the ship?

Marcus: They pretty much didn't care about my warning, nor did they know me. Only my friends did.

Agent Davis: That still doesn't excuse you for leaving the rest of the people behind in the ship. Had you told them about it, they probably would've gotten off. Even a few.

Marcus: Look, I don't have a lot of answers here.

(Cut to Davis and Davis with Jenny.)

Agent Davis: So, your friend of yours... did he take any prescription medicine, or drugs, or anything like those?

Jenny: No. We were clean. I know Marcus wouldn't take 'em, even if he was peer-pressured.

(Cut to the same, this time, with Robin.)

Robin: We got off because we wanted to make sure he's okay.

(Cut back to Marcus.)

Marcus: All I know is that something told me it was going to explode.

Agent Davis: Hm...

(A door knocked.)

Agent Davis: Give me a moment.

(Davis walked over to the door. An assistant was there.)

FBI Agent: Investigation concluded that a major gas leak, along with the exposure of smoke, was the cause of the explosion.

Agent Davis: What?

FBI Agent: Yeah. They all seem to be innocent; send everyone home.

(Davis turned to Marcus.)

Agent Davis: You and your friends are free to go.

Marcus: Now?

Agent Davis: Yes.

(Marcus got up.)

Agent Davis: But don't think this is over just yet. We're still keeping an eye out on you.

Marcus: Got it.

(As the eight friends walked out the FBI building, we pan down to a girl in a leather jacket, who was watching them leave the site.)

Kimberly: What you did was a grave mistake.

Marcus: What?

(She left without saying a word. Cut to a rainy night, as Marcus walks to his house.)

Marcus: (on the phone) So the funeral starts next week? Alright, got it. I'll be there.

(He hangs up. He enters his house, putting his bag on the tabletop and laid on the couch, taking in a few deep breaths. Then, he began sobbing quietly, feeling guilty for not warning the rest of the people. He looked at a picture of him and his friends at an amusement park and continued crying for a little bit. He kept on doing this until he fell asleep.)

Part 5[]

(Cut to a cemetery a week later, where all the friends except Marcus gathered in the entrance.)

Robin: So when does the funeral start?

Jamie: Probably in a few minutes.

David: If I'm being honest, I don't know any of these people, yet we still have to go?

Jamie: Even if we don't know 'em, it's still pretty sad. Cuz think about it. All their family members are grieving over their deaths.

David: Who asked you, four eyes?

(Jamie was offended.)

Simone: Have you read The Five People You Meet in Heaven, David?

David: No.

Simone: Nevermind.

Jenny: Have you seen Marcus? He's gonna be late.

Corey: I'm sure he'll be here in a few.

(A few minutes later, the funeral was in session. Many of the attendees were saddened, crying over their lost loved ones.)

Reverend: Now, you may see strangers, walking about, not caring about the others. But deep inside, there was a connection we had. We had each other. Disasters, they're a challenge on who or what we are beneath. So the people that left us that day, they had a bond we never knew we had.

(Timeskip a few hours later, it started raining. Marcus and the others walked out.)

Marcus: So what? We'll see each other later?

Robin: Yeah. Maybe we'll go grab a coffee or something later in the week.

Simone: Mhm.

Martin: Alright. I parked all the way in the back. So I gotta go now before the weather gets worse.

Marcus: 'Kay. See ya.

(Martin walked away. While he walked along the sidewalk, the wind started to get stronger.)

Martin: Oh, man. It's getting worse.

(With a sudden jolt, the umbrella slipped out of Martin's hand.)

Martin: Hey-!

(Martin chased his umbrella, which was going down a hill. Martin had to use the stairs to grab it. However, he trips on the wet surface of the stairs and tumbles down. The umbrella landed on its front and impales Martin in the chest, killing him. Bystanders screamed as Martin fell limp to the ground.)

Part 6[]

(Cut to some eggs being cooked on a pan by Marcus. The phone rang.)

Marcus: Hello?

Jenny: Marcus, turn on the TV.

Marcus: Why?

Jenny: Just turn it on and go to the news.

(Marcus reached for the remote and turned on the TV, showing the aftermath of Martin's death.)

TV: -of what appears to be the body of 25-year-old Martin Ambrose. Police are currently investigating as to what caused the death of this poor man, but as of right now, no other information appears to be available.

(As the TV continued indistinctly, Marcus stared in disbelief at what he was witnessing.)

Jenny: Marcus? Marcus, are you there?

(The phone just hung up. Jenny was confused.)

Marcus: Shit, shit, shit. No, no, no, no. This can't be happening.

(Marcus sat down. Then someone knocked on his front door. Marcus opened it. It was Agent Davis and his assistant.)

Marcus: Agent Davis? What are you doing here?

Agent Davis: Do you know a person by the name of Martin Perry Ambrose?

Marcus: Yeah. Why?

Agent Davis: Then you must have been informed by his death.

Marcus: Yes. Yes, I have. Why do you come here?

(Agent Davis exhaled.)

Agent Davis: I am convinced that you may have something to do with his unfortunate passing.

Marcus: What? What makes you say that?

Agent Davis: His umbrella was not able to close before his death. It only closed after. And after we checked the problem, there appeared to be a lock-up switched on in that umbrella. We feel that you are responsible for this.

Marcus: No. No, that is false. I did not tamper with his belongings in any way, shape or form.

Agent Davis: And how can I believe you?

Marcus: Look. You did fingerprints, right? Surely, they would've shown I'm not responsible!

Agent Davis: Hmm...

(Davis looked at his assistant, who shook his head.)

Agent Davis: Okay, Mr. Brandon. You are off the radar for now. But don't think I'm not finished yet. We still need to look for more evidence.

(Marcus sighed.)

Marcus: Thank you, Agent Davis. Wait, how'd you know where I live?

Agent Davis: It's not hard to tell.

Marcus: Okay. See ya, I guess.

(Agent Davis and his assistant walked away. Then, Marcus spotted the same girl he ran into back at the FBI building. He runs to her.)

Marcus: Hey! Hey!

(He taps on her shoulder.)

Marcus: You're that girl who told us we "made a grave mistake."

Kimberly: Indeed. Because you did.

Marcus: What do you mean "I did"? What's going on?

Kimberly: You shouldn't have got on that ferry to begin with, nor should you have got off it.

Marcus: Why? What's happening?

Kimberly: He's coming for you.

Marcus: Who's coming for us?

Kimberly: Death. (beat) 24 years ago, I had a premonition about a major traffic crash. I was lucky enough to have avoided it, but all the others, they weren't so lucky. They died in the way they were meant to in the premonition.

Marcus: So what? Can you just explain what you're trying to tell me?

Kimberly: You avoided Death the first time. So now Death is making a new plan to take you and your other friends for granted. This is why one of your friends died immediately after the explosion.

Marcus: So what does that mean? No matter what we do, we'll still die early?

Kimberly: Not always. If you manage to intervene in the way of one of your friends before Death can capture them, the chain will be broken. Or, if you die initially but then come back to life, the chain will be broken. And then, Death will stop coming for you.

Marcus: So that's what I need to do then?

Kimberly: Yes.

(Kimberly gives Marcus her phone number.)

Kimberly: If you have any more questions, just call that number.

Marcus: Wait, where are you going?

(Kimberly walked away without answering Marcus' question, as the latter stands there, puzzled.)

Jenny: So he said if you can stop one of our deaths, we'd be free?

Part 7[]

(Cut to a cafe, where all the other friends were sitting at a table.)

Marcus: That's what she told me, but nothing else.

David: Should've thought of that before Martin left us.

Jenny: David!

David: Okay, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Robin: If that's the case, who are you gonna save?

Marcus: Well, she never said how many I could save, so maybe the rest of you.

Jamie: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait, Marcus. Are you just gonna believe some girl who told you all of this just to, I don't know, scare you?

Jenny: Honestly, Jamie's got a point. You can't just believe someone you just randomly met on the street.

Marcus: But what if she's right? What if we're not supposed to be alive right now, and that Death is coming for us?

David: What do you know about Death?

(Marcus said nothing.)

David: Exactly.

Simone: Look, all this talk about Death is killing me, can we just finish our food and get over it?

Corey: Simone's right. I'm starving.

(Marcus looks at the street and sees a pothole in the middle of the road, along with a fire hydrant. Fade to Agent Davis and his assistant looking back at the site of Martin's death.)

Davis' assistant: This is some impossible shit right here. There's no way someone could die like this.

Agent Davis: Try recreating it. Maybe we could find something.

Davis' assistant: Alright.

(Davis' assistant used his pen to trace how Martin could've died like this.)

Davis' assistant: Yeah, I can't do it. I don't know how this could've worked out.

(Agent Davis grew a bit suspicious about this. Cut back to the main group, who were finished with their food.)

David: Damn, shame Martin isn't with us.

Simone: Yeah. I kinda miss him.

(Simone's phone rang.)

Simone: Oh, shit. I gotta go. I'll see you guys later.

(Cut to a car that was approaching from behind. It then hits the pothole, causing it to lose control and hit a fire hydrant near Simone.)

Simone: Ah! Fuck!

(Simone was blinded by the water splashing onto her and walked backwards into the road, where a truck was driving.)

Marcus: Simone!

(The truck driver saw Simone and tried to brake, but it was too late. When Simone managed to clear the water off her eyes, she saw the truck moving towards her. Then snap. Blood was stained on the road. The other friends and bystanders were in shock. The camera then moves over to show Simone's mutilated corpse. Then cut to police and EMS at the scene.)

David: So what now?

Marcus: I don't know.
