Zira, Queen of Endless Night.
Zira is Scar's conniving widow, who is consumed by years of anger and hatred directed towards Simba and the Pride Landers. Her plan is for Kovu to kill Simba and become king, thereby fulfilling her vengeance on the heroic lion.
Previous History in Kingdom Hearts[]
Originally, Zira was previously a Pridelander during Scar's reign as king, where she bore Nuka and Vitani. Zira took Kovu in as her own after killing his parents, Chumvi and Kula. While Scar was still alive, he and Zira raised Kovu to be Scar's successor; his protege. After Scar's death, they were exiled immediately afterward by Simba for their remaining loyalty to Scar.
It is revealed her and her pride had some type of authority of during Scar's reign.
When the Pride Lands was destroyed by the Heartless, Zira and Scar managed to escape their world's destruction thanks to Maleficent, in exchange for future servitude to her. They agreed, if only to betray her sooner or later. During the events of the first Kingdom Hearts game, Scar and Zira stayed on Hollow Bastion's deepest dungeons, in order to avoid the notice of Ansem, Seeker of Darkness. They were eventually returned to their homeworld when Sora sealed the door to darkness in the End of the World.
It was during the events of Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories to II that Scar regained control over the Pride Lands with Pete's help. Zira stayed loyal to her king, remaining as queen of the Outsiders until Sora arrived to help Simba defeat Scar and his Heartless self. Again, Zira escaped to the Outlands with the rest of her pride on banishment decree from Simba.
During her exile to the Outlands, Zira met with Maleficent, as the two discussed future involvement in the Hellfire Club and the possible conquest of Kingdom Hearts, which leads to Zira beginning her nefarious deeds for retaking Pride Rock. However, her plan is being watched over by Ansem, in the form of a lion, who seeks to turn Zira into a Heartless by cultivating the darkness in her heart through secret whispers about her past and wish for vengeance so that Master Xehanort can turn her Nobody into a possible vessel of his heart.

The Battle: Zira will constantly jump around and slash you from behind, so be on your guard! Be sure to have the Ars Arcanum and Second Chance abilities equiped. Lock on to Zira and use fire magic from a distance. If she gets close, with good timing you can cast Stop/Stopra/Stopga from a distance to get a chance for an Arcanum attack. You earn a Firewind summon gem (it's Kovu) and another White Fang for defeating Zira.
