Zatanna Zatara (or simply Zatanna) is a fictional character and superheroine appearing in DC Comics.

Zatanna is both a stage magician and an actual magician, much like her father Giovanni "John" Zatara. As such, she has many of her father's powers and abilities relating to magic, typically controlled by speaking the words of her incantations spelled backwards.

She is known for her involvement with the Justice League, her retconned childhood association with Batman and even, by her crossing of the Vertigo line with characters such as romantic partner John Constantine.

• Zatanna appears in the alternate plot of Teen Titans Season 2, voiced by Lacey Chabert.
• Zatanna also appears in Comic Con Incorporated. She is a roomer in the titular fictional hotel, on which she shares a room with John Constantine.
• Zatanna appears as a main character in Justice League Dark: Mortal Kombat, voiced by Camilla Luddington. She and the rest of John Constantine's faction of the Justice League form an alliance with Raiden and the Defenders of Earthrealm to defeat Gideon the Black Knight, while also clashing with other hostile forces participating the overlord's tournament, including the Suicide Squad and Shao Khan's Elite. At one notable point, she absorbs the brighter portions of Shang Tsung's powers (as a result of a spell she conjured to revert the effects of Tsung's soul-eating sorcery) and becomes a more powerful amazon combatant (described by Raiden as the Dragon Witch), although her most powerful spells still require her to say them backwards. She stays in her warrior form in the remainder of the film until after the Black Knight's defeat.
• Zatanna appears as a playable character in Marvel/DC Heroes Unite!, voiced by Laura Bailey. She is avaliable via DLC in the "Running Away To The Dark" chapter, where she and her fellow members of the Justice League Dark team up with the Runaways to stop Iblis (the fusion between Mephisto and Trigon).
