Barbara "Bobbi" Morse is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in Astonishing Tales #6 in 1971 as a supporting character and eventual love interest of Ka-Zar, with a Ph.D in biology. She is soon revealed to be the highly trained Agent 19 of S.H.I.E.L.D., taking the moniker Huntress in Marvel Super Action #1 in 1976, and Mockingbird in Marvel Team-Up #95 in 1980, before going on to be a member of several Avengers teams, briefly marrying and subsequently divorcing Clint Barton / Hawkeye.

Mockingbird has been described as one of Marvel's most notable and powerful female heroes.

In media set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Bobbi Morse appeared in the second and third seasons of the television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2014–2016), portrayed by Adrianne Palicki, while the role of Agent 19 of S.H.I.E.L.D. is adapted to Laura Barton, portrayed by Linda Cardellini in the 2015 film Avengers: Age of Ultron and the Disney+ miniseries Hawkeye (2021).

• Barbara Morse / Mockingbird appears in Marvel's Spider-Man: Webbed Champion, voiced by Kari Wahlgren. Depicted as a teenage S.H.I.E.L.D. trainee under Yuri Watanabe's tutelage, this version sports a nanotech flight suit with artificial golden wings, and is equipped with a pair of battle staves and night vision glasses. She is also a great admirer of the Avengers, a fan of Black Widow, and Mary Jane Watson's best friend, who is aware and supportive of her identity as Tigra, as well as her secret romance with Peter Parker (whom Barbara is also aware of and supportive of his secret as Spider-Man). She first appears as Barbara Morse (or Barbie for short) in "City of Heroes, Part 3: American Cats", where she is introduced as Marcus Thompson's high school crush-later-girlfriend, who showed admiration of his work as a party entertainer, and begun dating him after she learned of his double-life as the superhero vigilante Lion King. She makes her first official appearance as Mockingbird in "The Parker Errand", where she is assigned by S.H.I.E.L.D. to assist She-Hulk in seeking evidences to prolong J. Jonah Jameson's prison sentence. This also leads her and She-Hulk to team up with Peter / Spider-Man (who was at the time seeking to expose the truth about his parents Richard and Mary Parker's death) in hunting down Truman Marsh (who possessed evidences of Jameson's involvement with the Parkers' deaths by the hands of the Red Skull) and an A.I.M. squad sent by MODOK to obtain the Tesseract. Mockingbird eventually succeeds on her mission, which resulted in Jameson being sentenced to prison for life. She makes silent appearances in "Sons of Fathers", on which she is shown having a inaudible conversation with Mary Jane about Harry Lyman's condition. And later in "Seeds of Life", assisting S.H.I.E.L.D. on battling the Oscorp robots under Madame Masque's control, and later restraining an defeated and apprehended Norman Osborn, whom she punches in the face. She later makes minor appearances in the "Legendary Universes" arc; appearing in the end of "Part 3: Unlimited Speed", where she overhears of Spider-Man and his team's adventure in Sonic the Hedgehog's universe, and later appearing in "Part 6: Ultimate Alliance", where she is among the heroes who unite against the Regent's army of Negative Zone insects. She can be shown taking out some insectoids alongside Watanabe, Black Widow, and Tigra as well as Arcee, Sticks the Badger and Rey Skywalker. She is later shown in the end of the episode with Lion King, and the couple is shown greeting Knuckles the Echidna.

  • Mockingbird returns in the show's Disney+ sequel miniseries Marvel's Spider-Man: Rising Legend, voiced again by Kari Wahlgren. She is shown to have joined Spider-Man's team of the Champions following the battle against the Regent's army.
  • She also appears in the show's follow-up Disney+ TV special A Marvel Christmas Carol, voiced again by Kari Wahlgren. She is first seen battling alongside the superheroes against the invading Frost Giants led by Ymir in New York City, before helping prepare for the Christmas parties in the F.E.A.S.T. facilities. She and Mary Jane Watson also advise Cassie Lang (in response of her suggesting they should invite Vincent Dawson and his family for the ceremony) that Vincent is having trouble with his abusive boss Franklin Todd, prompting Peter Parker, Cassie, Groot, Cloak and Dagger to consult Doctor Strange. During Peter's act as the Ghost of Christmas Present, Barbie's Mockingbird alias is shown dancing with Lion King in the Christmas parade. Later during Cloak's act as the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come/Future and Dagger's second act as the "Soul Chain", Barbie is shown in the alternate future as one of the teenagers showing little sympathy over the fate of the dead man (Todd) being taken away Rocket and Hulk, while her Mockingbird alias is shown working with the Avengers and Champions on stopping the riots near Todd's workplace. Later in the epilogue, Barbie is shown exchanging gifts with Mary Jane, and dancing with Marcus Thompson. She later watches joyfully as her best friend and Peter share a kiss under Groot's mistletoe.
  • Mockingbird returns in the sequel film Marvel's Superhero Adventures: Infinity War, voiced again by Kari Wahlgren. Still a member of the Champions, Mockingbird is shown with Hawkeye battling some Chitauri, while Nighthawk exacts to capture some supervillains chosen to be brainwashed by Thanos for his new Black Order. Although she and Hawkeye defeat the Chitauri, Barbie is injured by an explosion caused by a roboticized Silver Sable. Later, Barbie is shown in the Titanian Tigers' village, being nursed by the villagers with Mary Jane Watson / Tigra, Marcus Thompson / Lion King, and Hawkeye sitting next to her, and with Alana Jobson / Jackpot wishing her well before setting out with the superheroes assigned to search the remaining Infinity Stones. A fully recovered Mockingbird is later seen taking part in the final battle against Thanos's armies on Earth. During the battle, she is revealed to have earned the metahuman ability of supersonic-level screaming (due to a Vibranium pill she ingested to heal her injuries), which she uses to defeat some Klyntauri. In the epilogue, Barbie is shown attending to Alana's marriage with Jessica Reilly, and watching the New Year fireworks.
  • Mockingbird returns in the show's Disney+ sequel miniseries Marvel's All-Star Multiverse, voiced again by Walhgren. First appearing in the short-episode series Free Adventures, Barbie is among Peter's friends who join the world road trip onboard their personal jet plane provided by Tony Stark. In the second short "Seaside Bliss" where the gang is enjoying the Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Barbie is shown surfing with Marcus Thompson at the sea. In “Colosseum of Champions”, Barbie watches as Marcus defeats his half-brother Flash Thompson in a match at the New Colosseum, where she among others give Flash a Pollice verso. She is later seen sitting next to Marcus during the banquet with Rey Skywalker, Knuckles the Echidna, and Hulk in Hulk’s personal Roman Palace-themed hall. Appearing in the main episodes, Barbie / Mockingbird is shown in “The Sky’s the Limit” watching the news of Princess Athena's public presentation of the Skycruiser Commandos, and among the heroes battling supervillains aiming to attack Babylon-6. She is shown teaming up with Rouge the Bat and Windblade in defeating a group of female Red Room assassins.
• A version of Mockingbird appears in Marvel: All New, All Different Chronicles, voiced by Colleen Villard. This version (renamed Barbara "Barbie" Danvers Rogers) is presented as Liz Danvers Rogers's 13-year-old younger cousin and the daughter of Steve Rogers's brother Bucky and Carol Danvers's sister Sharon.
