Aquilapterus raptor is a species of small pterosaur that originally did not exist, but has since been created by SciiFii. Unlike many other pterosaurs, the species didn't escape into the wilderness because of the SciiFii Pterosaur Incident, but due to some illegal pet trade and had been deliberately released by some pet traders into the wilderness across Australia and New Guinea. Despite being a nonnative species, Aquilapterus raptor is not considered an invasive species due to not negatively impacting populations of native marsupials or other species. Aquilapterus raptor is rather small for a highly advanced pterosaur, having a wingspan of up to about 224 centimeters (7 feet 4 inches) across and weighing 9 kg (20 lb). Unlike other pterosaurs, Aquilapterus raptor has large, sharp claws for slashing and dicing up its prey and using its sharp beak for ripping out chunks of flesh. As indicated by its beak and claws, Aquilapterus raptor is entirely carnivorous and feeds primarily on any animal smaller than itself. Aquilapterus raptor is a solitary animal that prefers to live in most of its life alone except during the breeding seasons. The conservation status of Aquilapterus raptor is Least Concern due to successful conservation efforts, the pterosaur's wide range and its tolerance to many of the human activities.
