Amazon is one of the biggest companies in the world, famous for its assets in retail, technology, cloud computing, streaming, and film and television production (as it's in the progress of acquiring the MGM film studio). Hasbro, on the other hand, is the world's leading toy manufacturer, but also has gaming assets like Wizards of the Coast, and content distribution assets with Entertainment One. But with the announcement of the Amazon-MGM merger, here's an idea I've come up with: What if Amazon merged with Hasbro for $87.6 billion in early 2023?

On July 16, 2022, three months after its acquisition of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, CNBC reported that Amazon was in negotiations to merge with Hasbro for $87.6 billion. The proposed merger was officially announced the next day, subject to regulatory approval; The combined company would be known as Amazon Hasbro, with combined operations in retail, technology, consumer products, film, television and streaming, would be led by Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner, with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos serving as executive chairman, while Amazon and Hasbro would retain their separate brands. In addition, all films and television programs based on Hasbro properties would be made exclusively available on the Amazon Prime Video library.

Changes[]
- Amazon Studios, including Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, will be merged with Entertainment One to form Amazon Hasbro Studios.
- Amazon Hasbro Entertainment will acquire the remaining 50% of United Artists Releasing from Annapurna Pictures, and will be rebranded as Amazon Hasbro Studios Releasing, releasing films in the United States under the Amazon Hasbro Studios, MGM, Orion Pictures, and American International Pictures labels. Films from Annapurna Pictures will continue to be released by AHS Releasing.
- Amazon Hasbro Studios will acquire a controlling stake in Amblin Partners. As a result, Universal Pictures will end its distribution deal with Amblin, meaning that films produced by Amblin Partners under the Amblin Entertainment and DreamWorks Pictures labels will be distributed by AHS Releasing.
- Amazon Games will be rebranded as Amazon Hasbro Games, and will be brought under the same umbrella as Twitch and the Amazon Luna cloud gaming platform.
- Amazon Hasbro will acquire the remaining 60% of Discovery Family from Discovery, Inc. (to be merged with WarnerMedia), and place it under Epix Entertainment, rebranding it as Allspark.
- Any co-productions between Hasbro and Netflix will be moved to Amazon Prime Video. By extension, all films and television programs based upon Hasbro properties (Transformers, My Little Pony, Power Rangers, etc.) will be available exclusively on Prime Video.
