Ocean Depths, alternatively known as Disney's Ocean Depths, is an American animated surreal science-fiction comedy series created by Bert Youn. It is produced by Disney Television Animation and has aired on Disney Channel from June 20th, 2020 until October 21st, 2023.

Synopsis

Two young adults working for W.A.T.E.R. along with a talking shark as a result of a freak accident and a robot attempt to investigate various unsolved mysteries of the deep ocean while facing challenges.

Characters

Main

• Ronald (voiced by Bobby Moynihan) - a nervous young man who is rather cowardly when it comes to the deep ocean and tends to be paranoid.
  • Shank (voiced by Tom Kenny) - a rowdy talking great white shark who likes having fun and usually goofs off. He used to be a regular shark thirsty for blood until a freak accident that made him like he is now.
• Amanda (voiced by Anna Akana) - a somewhat stern young woman who is the rational and serious one out of the bunch and helps out Ronald whenever he's having trouble.
  • D3-EP (voiced by Danny Jacobs) - an intelligent robot given to Amanda that is used to explain facts about stuff.

• Director Nemo (voiced by Stephen Root) - a director of W.A.T.E.R. who gives out various missions for Ronald and Amanda to do.
• Assistant Ariel (voiced by Felicia Day) - Nemo's sleep deprived assistant who often aids him out.
• The Lonely Whale (vocal effects by Dee Bradley Baker) - a hybrid whale who swims around empty areas all alone.
• Shockjel (voiced by Jason Marsden) - A friendly jellyfish who lives inside an underwater cave.
• Heather Canvas (voiced by Haley Tju) - a young woman who is Ronald and Amanda's rival, claiming she'd be more successful at solving mysteries of the ocean than them.
• Timothy Premo (voiced by Aries Spears) - an African-American young man who is chill, yet tends to get himself lost sometimes.
• Lele (voiced by Grey Griffin) - an islander who is very friendly, yet slightly offputting.

Antagonists

• Creature X (vocal effects by Frank Welker) - a malicious mosasaur-like monster who lurks into the deep ocean and will kill and eat any living thing.
• The Monster Jellyfish (non-speaking) - a giant jellyfish that is pretty deadly and has been attacking the W.A.T.E.R. headquarters.
• The Alpha Orca (vocal effects by Fred Tatasciore) - an orca who leads a large pod of other orcas who has been invading the area around the W.A.T.E.R. headquarters as Shank has been trying to fight them off.
• Apex (non-speaking) - a genetically modified shark that is meant to be the most dangerous of all sharks.
• Ruler of the Clams (non-speaking) - a giant clam who appears to rule a bed of other clams.
• The Albino Shark (non-speaking) - TBD
• The Grouper (non-speaking) - a giant fish who is very brutal and dangerous.
• Sylvester Pierce (voiced by TBD) - a former agent of W.A.T.E.R. who plots to destroy various W.A.T.E.R. bases.
• Feist (voiced by Alex Hirsch) - an anthropomorphic anglerfish who was once a regular anglerfish until he consumed a chemical that turned him like that, as he now owns a lair and wants to take over the world's oceans.
• Captain Noeye (voiced by Paul Eiding) - a greedy and menacing ghost pirate who was infamous a long time ago for stealing treasure and losing an eye during a battle until his death, as he now lurks around the ocean along with his crew.
  • Shriek (voiced/vocal effects by Carlos Alazraqui) - a hostile ghost parrot who is Captain Noeye's pet.

  • Shunk (voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson) - an idiotic overweight ghost pirate who is the comic relief.
• Mr. Oxygen (voiced by Richard Steven Horvitz) - the robotic host of an abandoned underwater pizzeria who became somewhat insane.
• Shelia (voiced by TBD) - a seductive mermaid who has a superiority complex and wants to flood the Earth and enslave humanity.
• The Kraken (non-speaking) - a giant squid who is capable of dragging ships deep into the sea.
• Jacques Goosteu (voiced by André Sogliuzzo) - a charismatic deep sea photographer who held Shank captive and tried to figure out what he is.
• The Coconut Tribes, consisting of:
  • Bonkers (vocal effects by TBD) - a crazy living coconut who is the leader of his tribe.
  • Coco (vocal effects by Richard Steven Horvitz) - a smart living coconut who is the one with common sense in the tribe and tries to calm Bonkers down and let him explain how things should work, but often gets pushed aside much to his dismay.
• Owen Walts (voiced by TBD) - a greedy and cold-hearted man who stoles various items inside the W.A.T.E.R. base so he can sell them later on and become rich.
• Davy Jones (voiced by TBD) - an undead pirate who resides in a very deep trench as he has trapped Ronald and Amanda in his giant locker.
