Trivia[]
- Dan and his friends are the true protagonists of the series, while their owners are the true deuteragonists.
- This animated TV series is similar to All Dogs Go to Heaven, Oliver & Company, We’re Back! A Dinosaur Story, and The Brave Little Toaster.
- A running gag in this cartoon involves the camera going into the animals’ mouth and showing a uvula inside whenever they would scream, laugh, cry, roar, sing, yawn, or eat, most commonly with all anthropomorphic animals. In a few episodes, Expressive Uvulas were shown inside their mouths, with the camera continuing to zoom in or out when singing, laughing, or screaming in one of the episodes.
- The Mighty Pets are animal superheroes that fight off an evil supervillain, Larry McKruel Jr. / Dr. Cruelty.
